Fans won't have to wait too long for the next one-on-one showdown between Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar.

On Thursday, WWE.com announced that Reigns and Lesnar will face off at the upcoming Crown Jewel 2021 pay-per-view on Oct. 21. The event will take place at King Fahd International Stadium in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

It will be a Universal Championship match if Reigns successfully defends his title against Finn Balor at Extreme Rules 2021 on Sept. 26.

Otherwise, the two superstars will just compete in a non-titles bout.

Of course, it's practically impossible to imagine Reigns dropping the title before Crown Jewel. It's been close to two full years since he was last pinned (TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs against Baron Corbin on Dec. 15, 2019), after all. And having gotten past marquee stars like Daniel Bryan, Edge and John Cena, it wouldn't be surprising if Reigns' winning streak lasted well past Crown Jewel.

After defeating Cena at SummerSlam, Reigns was confronted by a returning Lesnar, who made his first WWE appearance since losing the WWE Championship to Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania 36. Lesnar confronted Paul Heyman (whom he delivered an F5 to) and The Bloodline on last week's episode of Friday Night SmackDown. At the end of the show, Reigns said he accepted Lesnar's challenge for a match.

A History Of Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns

Lesnar is 2-1 all time against Reigns, defeating him in Universal title matches at WrestleMania 34 and The Greatest Royal Rumble. Reigns finally conquered Lesnar in the main event of SummerSlam 2018, defeating him to become the new Universal Champion.

The two superstars also faced off in the main event of WrestleMania 31 for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. But it was Seth Rollins who emerged victorious in that match, pinning Reigns moments after he cashed in his Money in the Bank contract.
