The July 2, 2015, edition of SmackDown was the first time that Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins clashed in a singles match on the blue brand. The Architect was the reigning WWE Champion going into this contest, and it was a non-title match.

This match was largely forgettable purely because of J & J Security's involvement. Rollins was going for his trademark buckle bomb, but Reigns had other ideas, and he planted him with a powerbomb of his own. The Big Dog prevailed by disqualification as J&J Security intervened when Reigns was gearing up to finish off Rollins with a Spear.

Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins collided on the December 29, 2014, episode of Raw in a back-and-forth encounter. The Architect was Mr. Money in the Bank, and both men had a lot of offense. Big Show took a closer look at proceedings as he was positioned at the commentary table. Nevertheless, both countered each other's respective finishers.

Reigns connected with the superman punch. The World's Largest Athlete got up from the commentary table, and he hauled Reigns over the announce table. Show placed the announce table onto Reigns with The Big Dog winning an average match by disqualification once more.

Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns headlined the March 2, 2015, edition of Raw in a competitive match. Reigns took a stranglehold on proceedings early on. However, he had to keep an eye out on The Authority who were at ringside. Randy Orton also got involved in the match by making his way down the aisle midway through.

J&J Security didn't shy away from distracting Reigns who easily dispatched them. Rollins got the upper hand when J&J Security got physical. Moreover, Corporate Kane nailed Reigns in the stomach with a chair, and Reigns managed to kick out. Reigns regrouped, and he countered the curb stomp with a superman punch. Ultimately, Orton grabbed Reigns' leg and Rollins took advantage with a roll-up to secure a huge win.

Days before their encounter at Night of Champions 2014, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns locked horns on the September 15, 2014, edition of Raw. The Big Dog dominated the early exchanges of the bout, and he rammed Rollins' back into the barricade. Reigns was extremely aggressive, and he sent Rollins flying into the chairs at ringside.

The Architect showed his fighting qualities, and he executed a suicide dive on Reigns. Rollins' buckle bomb wasn't enough to keep Reigns down. Their match was decent, and Reigns blocked the curb stomp, and he speared Rollins for the huge win. Unfortunately, they didn't collide at Night of Champions as Reigns had a hernia which kept him off the show.

For the first time in two-and-a-half years, Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins clashed on the October 11, 2019, episode of SmackDown. There was so much on the line as they were slugging it out for the first draft. Rollins was the reigning Universal Champion, and he represented Raw. Reigns was flying the flag for SmackDown.

They fist-bumped before the match began, showing their respect for each other. The match was exceptional, and Rollins connected with the buckle bomb. However, Reigns responded instantly with a superman punch. The Universal Champion superbly countered the spear into the pedigree with Reigns just about kicking out. Nevertheless, The Fiend emerged from beneath the ring, and he applied the Mandible Claw on Rollins. He dragged Rollins underneath the ring with him. Rollins re-emerged in horror, and he prevailed albeit by disqualification.

24 hours removed from their excellent WWE Championship at Money in the Bank 2016, Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins were at loggerheads once again. The new WWE Champion Dean Ambrose was at the commentary table. The winner would face Ambrose for the WWE Title at Battleground. Rollins and Reigns produced another high-caliber contest. Fans booed when Reigns had offense and cheered for Rollins when he responded.

The Big Dog nailed Rollins with a vicious spear onto the announce table. Both men fell to the ground. Neither man was able to make it back into the ring at the count of 10 with the match ruled as a no contest. However, Shane McMahon made his presence felt and announced a triple threat match between the former Shield members for the WWE Championship at Battleground.

Six days before they competed in a fatal-5-way number one contender's clash at Extreme Rules 2017, Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins engaged in battle on Raw. The Big Dog retreated to the outside with Rollins starting the match brightly. Reigns was starting the motor, and he nailed Rollins in midair with an outstanding superman punch.

Rollins wasn't going to go down easily as he executed the buckle bomb on Reigns. However, Reigns instantly responded with the superman punch, but both hit the deck. Their match was remarkable and was worthy of being on a pay-per-view. Ultimately, Reigns avoided the Phoenix Splash, and Rollins blocked the spear. Reigns avoided the curb stomp, and he saw off the Kingslayer with a spear, taking some momentum into Extreme Rules.

2 Royal Rumble 2022

Roman Reigns defended the Universal Championship against Seth Rollins at the opening match of the night at the 2022 Royal Rumble. The Tribal Chief came out first, and Rollins played mind games with Reigns by coming through the crowd in vintage Shield attire. Rollins dominated the early proceedings of the match, and he powerbombed Reigns through the announce table.

Rollins hit the curb stomp on Reigns, and he kicked out. However, Reigns retaliated with a superman punch. Reigns planted Rollins with a spear on the outside, and he was going for a second spear, but Rollins countered it into the pedigree. In the closing stages, Reigns applied the guillotine choke and Rollins refused to give up. The Tribal Chief was disqualified, but he retained his title, and after the match, Reigns pummeled Rollins with several chair shots.

1 Money In The Bank 2016

Seth Rollins returned to WWE at Extreme Rules 2016, and he laid out Roman Reigns. The Architect challenged Reigns for the WWE Championship at Money in the Bank 2016. It was their biggest encounter with the coveted WWE Title up for grabs. Rollins was looking to redesign, rebuild, and reclaim.

Rollins and Reigns tore the house down in a memorable main event. Reigns executed a Spear on Rollins, and he was going for another one. However, Rollins had other ideas, and he countered it into the Pedigree. Somehow, Reigns managed to kick out. Nevertheless, Rollins sealed the deal with a second Pedigree to become WWE Champion for the second time. His joy was short-lived as Dean Ambrose successfully cashed in his Money in the Bank contract to become the new WWE Champion.
