At Survivor Series 2015, Roman Reigns wrestled his third match of the night as he captured the WWE Championship in a tournament for the vacant title. Confetti fell, and Reigns refused to shake Triple H's hands and he opted to spear him instead. However, Mr. Money in the Bank, Sheamus came out of nowhere and he nailed Reigns with his patented Brogue Kick.

Reigns kicked out, and Sheamus was incensed that he didn't get the three-count. Inevitably, the second Brogue Kick was enough for Sheamus to seal the deal and become a four-time WWE World Champion in a truly shocking Survivor Series moment.

8 Roman Reigns Vs. Dean Ambrose - 2015

Aforementioned, Roman Reigns clashed with his former Shield ally Dean Ambrose in a tournament final to crown a new WWE Champion at Survivor Series 2015. This had the potential to be miles better but both were selling the effects from their respective semifinal matches.

The Big Dog connected with his patented Superman Punch in mid-air, and they both traded back and forth with moves. Both kicked out of each other's respective finishing maneuvers as they desperately wanted to become the WWE Champion. Ultimately, Reigns finally got over the line with a match-ending Spear for the win to secure his first WWE Championship reign.

Roman Reigns opened up proceedings with the United States Champion Alberto Del Rio in the semifinals of the WWE Championship tournament at Survivor Series 2015. The Mexican Aristocrat was a former four-time WWE World Champion in his own right, and he dominated the early proceedings by using his experience to his advantage.

The pendulum swung back into Reigns' favor, and they produced a solid match with plenty of near falls. Del Rio was aiming to finish off Reigns with the cross-arm breaker but The Big Dog powered his way out of it. Nevertheless, Del Rio did his very best to make look Reigns look good, and he certainly did with Reigns prevailing after executing his patented Spear. This outcome guaranteed a first-time WWE Champion which eventually became Reigns.

6 Team SmackDown Vs. Team NXT Vs. Team Raw - 2019

The inclusion of NXT involved in the brand warfare between Raw and SmackDown in the traditional Survivor Series elimination matches in the 2019 edition of the event was great. There was a competitive men's five-on-five-on-five traditional Survivor Series elimination bout between the three brands with high stakes on the line.

Reigns was the maestro of Team SmackDown, and he put on a sublime performance. Keith Lee showed that he was no slouch either as he mixed it up with the likes of Rollins and Reigns. The Big Dog eliminated Drew McIntyre. Finishing off Lee enabled Reigns to earn a huge win for SmackDown, becoming the sole survivor of his team.

5 The Shield & The Real Americans Vs. The Usos, Goldust, Cody Rhodes, And Rey Mysterio - 2013

Survivor Series 2013 marked The Shield's first anniversary, and it was the first time that Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose, and Seth Rollins competed at the event. The trio teamed up with the Real Americans' Jack Swagger and Cesaro. On the other side of the ring were Reigns' cousins The Usos, WWE Tag Team Champions Goldust and Cody Rhodes, and Rey Mysterio.

Surprisingly, Reigns and Rollins were left to fend for themselves as their team got eliminated early on, including Ambrose. However, Reigns took the initiative by eliminating Jey Uso and Cody in quick succession with a couple of spears. The Big Dog was impressive, and he overcame a 2-1 deficit by removing Goldust from the bout, and he fantastically countered Mysterio's 619 attempts with a Spear for his fourth elimination to become the sole survivor.

4 Team Raw Vs. Team SmackDown - 2016

The first men's traditional Survivor Series elimination featuring Raw and SmackDown in 11 years happened at Survivor Series 2016 with the reintroduction of the brand split in full effect. Roman Reigns was a member of the red brand alongside Universal Champion Kevin Owens, Seth Rollins, Chris Jericho, and Braun Strowman. The SmackDown contingency saw WWE Champion AJ Styles, Randy Orton, Bray Wyatt, Dean Ambrose, and Shane McMahon pose a threat to Raw.

This was a war of attrition with the match lasting almost an hour. Reigns executed a jaw-dropping Spear onto Shane O'Mac with Shane unable to continue. The Shield had a brief reunion with all three members putting Styles through the announce table. It was a valiant effort from Reigns but Wyatt earned the crucial win for Team SmackDown with Reigns taking the fall.

3 The Shield Vs. The New Day - 2017

Fans were in store for a treat in a dream match in the opening match at Survivor Series 2017. The Shield and The New Day are two of the most popular trios in WWE history, and as expected, the match lived up to the hype, and they knocked it out of the park in a barnburner of a match.

The Architect nailed Xavier Woods with a buckle bomb, and Reigns clotheslined Woods but he kicked out. The Shield were looking to finish off Woods with their patented triple powerbomb but Big E pulled Reigns out of the ring and pushed him into the barricade. Ultimately, despite The New Day's efforts, The Shield performed an outstanding triple powerbomb from the top rope onto Kofi Kingston with Dean Ambrose covering him for the huge victory.

2 Roman Reigns Vs. Drew McIntyre - 2020

SmackDown's Universal Champion Roman Reigns and Raw's WWE Champion Drew McIntyre rightfully headlined Survivor Series 2020 in a perfectly strung-together champion versus champion match. The Tribal Chief thrived in his heel run, and his match with McIntyre was hard-hitting.

Reigns and McIntyre were evenly matched, and despite interference from Reigns' cousin Jey Uso, it was thoroughly an enjoyable contest throughout. Despite the Scottish Psychopath being the WWE Champion, there was a sense of inevitability that Reigns would come out on top to continue his momentum as a newly-minted heel.

1 Roman Reigns Vs. Big E - 2021

For the second consecutive year, Roman Reigns entered Survivor Series representing SmackDown and continued his historic Universal Championship reign. His opponent was WWE Champion Big E, who waved the flag for Raw in an incredible main event at the 2021 iteration of the Survivor Series.

The Tribal Chief dominated the early proceedings of the bout, and Big E attempted to splash Reigns on the ring apron but he moved out of harm's way. Reigns spoke some trash to the fans, and he told them to "shut their mouths." Big E finally got a foothold into the match with three belly-to-belly suplexes in succession but Reigns halted his momentum with a Samoan Drop. Ultimately, the reigning WWE Champion could not keep Reigns down with a couple of Big Endings, and Reigns finished off Big E with a Spear.
