Rousey Is Not A Natural Talker

Ronda Rousey has been involved with professional wrestling since 2018, but throughout that period it has been clear she's not a natural talker. The former Olympic bronze medalist comes from a sporting background in judo and MMA. Because of that, talking was never something that she needed to concentrate on.

Throughout her time in WWE, she hasn't become any stronger at this particular side of the business. Cutting promos is not easy, and it's something a lot of wrestlers do struggle with. However, Ronda often mumbles through hers, losing track of herself, which causes a lot of problems.

Rousey can say the words, but there are often mistakes, which stop fans from truly engaging. It also easily opens her up for other wrestlers to take shots at her, which doesn't help her character. It also hurts the storylines overall, as Ronda doesn't tend to add much emotion to things.

She is quite monotone with her delivery, which seems to be because her concentration is on simply getting the content out. That is where the problems come from, as great promos draw on emotion, making fans connect and feel something. Ronda hasn't been able to do that yet, and it is starting to hurt her work.

This is why WWE needs to give her a manager. Having someone cut promos for her would take away this issue, while she could cut in with a few words here and there to build confidence and develop the skill. She's learning on the job, but having to cut these promos is exposing her in a way that WWE should be avoiding.

Let The Fighting Speak For Itself

Ronda Rousey is a legitimate badass, and that's something the fans are well aware of. The reason people go crazy for her when she competes is because of her background, and inside the ring, she does put on good matches. When she gets to brawl with her rivals in the build-up, Ronda makes things work.

It is when she has to tell stories with promos that issues begin to arise. Therefore, adding a manager to her would ensure that her fighting could do all the talking. It would allow her strength to be highlighted, and that would work out well. Having her in a similar scenario to Brock Lesnar with Paul Heyman is the way to go.

Letting Ronda just dominate, allowing her fighting to do all the talking while someone else adds the emotion and backstory could make her a far more exciting prospect. Whether it is Heyman, Malcolm Bivens, or someone else, WWE has a lot of options, and it would add a lot to her gimmick.

Rousey is a special, one-of-a-kind athlete, and the company mustn't waste that. Adding a manager is a big way to avoid the problem, as it would simply make her look like a star, rather than someone who isn't confident.

It Would Stop Her Star Power From Being Hurt

One big reason that she needs a manager is because it will stop the fans from turning on her. At the moment, audiences are giving her the benefit of the doubt, purely because she's only just returned and is a big name. However, the more mistakes she makes, the less forgiving they will be.

This was the case during her first run when audiences began to go against her. It worked out as WWE turned her heel, but the promos after were still poor. When Ronda gets flustered, her talking gets worse, which only alleviates the issue. This is a situation WWE should be desperately trying to avoid considering she's one of the biggest stars on the roster.

Anything that makes her look weak should be a situation that WWE desperately doesn't want. When she cuts promos, it looks like she doesn't care, and that stops her from shining in the manner she should. Fans have begun picking up on this issue, and that should never be the case.

WWE must address this, especially if she is around for a long time. Having her continue on this path will lead to audiences not caring about her, which is then when problems arise.
