Seth Rollins is seemingly not all too thrilled about another installment of Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns.

The Tribal Chief successfully defended his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against Riddle in the main event for this week's edition of SmackDown. After the match, Reigns grabbed the microphone and told the Minneapolis crowd to acknowledge him. Moments later, Lesnar made a surprise appearance.

Lesnar put his hand out to seemingly shake Reigns' hand, but The Tribal Chief was instead met with an F5. The Usos ran to confront The Beast Incarnate, But Lesnar was able to fight them all off. WWE later announced that Reigns and Lesnar will meet once again in a title match at SummerSlam 2022.

Rollins, who has quite a history with both superstars, implied discontent with the revival of the Reigns-Lesnar feud by posting the following tweet:

It was previously reported that Randy Orton would challenge Reigns for the title at SummerSlam, which will run on July 30 at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee. However, Orton is sidelined with a long-term back injury, and there's reportedly concern within the WWE that he won't wrestle again in 2022.

Roman Reigns Brock Lesnar SummerSlam 2021 Cropped

Cody Rhodes could have been considered for a SummerSlam program with Reigns, but the former is out for approximately nine months as he recovers from a torn pectoral that required surgery. This will mark the second ever SummerSlam bout between Reigns and Lesnar, who also headlined SummerSlam 2018.

Can Lesnar Even The All-Time Series vs. Reigns?

For better or worse, WWE has chosen Reigns vs. Lesnar as the defining rivalry of the the New Era up to this point.

Lesnar won the first to one-on-one showdowns with Reigns — at WrestleMania 34 and The Greatest Royal Rumble. But Reigns has since responded with three straight victories over the sports entertainment legend, defeating Lesnar at SummerSlam 2018, Crown Jewel 2021 and most recently WrestleMania 38. A victory over Reigns at SummerSlam would even the head-to-head series at three victories apiece.
