Most people that enter into the sport of professional wrestling do so because it was always their dream job. They wanted to have there names in the big lights, with their theme music, and compete all over the world. Fans would cheer their name, and they would be in the main event of WrestleMania. The thing is they have to start somewhere!

Most people have a first job in the food industry or maybe working in a retail department at a store. Looking back as some of their pre-wrestling jobs; members of the current WWE roster have worked some unique ones to say the least.

10 Sheamus

The multiple time WWE Champion hailing from Ireland, has been a member of the WWE roster for well over a decade. Prior to that he worked on the independent wrestling scene in his home country while working toward his WWE dreams. He was quickly pushed and is now considered a veteran on the roster.

Prior to his time in wrestling though, Sheamus worked a variety of jobs, - one of which was in the IT technician going from house to house working to solve problems. Due to his size and his build he was also a bouncer for nightclubs, as well as a personal bodyguard. He would occasionally be a bodyguard for U2's lead singer Bono as well as other famous stars.

9 Tommaso Ciampa

Tommaso Ciampa is a rising star in WWE and one of the last remaining members of the original black and gold NXT roster. Though he has appeared on Monday Night Raw, he still is one of the faces of the NXT 2.0 brand. Ciampa has been wrestling for years and has won championships in multiple different companies.

Given his incredible physique, it should is not that shocking that Ciampa used to be a manager of a fitness center. He left that job in 2014 so that he could focus full time on his wrestling career, and the rest is history.

The Empress of Tomorrow, Asuka is one of the most creative superstars in WWE history. Her face paint, entrance, and unique athletic style make this multiple time Women's Champion so exciting to watch.

Asuka has always had that creative spark as she used to do freelance interior designing as a side gig. She also was a part-time journalist with the primary focus on video games. Through that she has created content focusing around the videogame world.

7 Kevin Owens

In 2014, WWE signed Kevin Owens. Since his debut, he has been one of the most highlighted stars on the roster. His size and in ring ability mixed with his persona make him very entertaining to watch.

One could assume that part of his sarcastic attitude comes from having to deal with the customers at the gas station he used to work at. Owens used to work as a gas station attendant in his younger years in his home country of Canada.

Members of the legendary Anoa'i family, The Usos might go down as one of the best tag teams in WWE history. Jimmy and Jey have gone through many transitions throughout their career but one thing that hasn't changed is that they are large and strong men that can do some heavy lifting.

The brothers used to work at a furniture store as movers prior to their career in WWE. Even though wrestling was the family business, it was actually the late Umaga who had to talk them into wrestling. In fact, their cousin Roman Reigns would even help them with moving furniture from time to time.

Seth Rollins has been a top star in WWE since his days in The Shield. He has truly made it, having also found the love of his life in the form of Becky Lynch. As a multi-time former champion, his character expects to be treated as royalty. He is the type of character that would like to be waited on hand and foot.

Seth Rollins knows very well what it is like to wait on someone because prior to his career in professional wrestling, he waited tables.

4 Naomi

Former SmackDown Women's Champion Naomi lives up to her gimmick by bringing the glow to every room she enters. Her larger than life character and entrance music is always guaranteed to get the crowd up and moving. She started her main roster career as a dancer, as one half of the Funkadactyls.

She was actually a professional dancer prior to her time in WWE. She even used to be a background dancer for pop artist Flo Rida.

3 Robert Roode

Robert Roode has had a long career in professional wrestling working in many promotions. He is a former world champion in almost every company he has worked for and is currently one of the top stars in WWE's tag team division.

He is a talented wrestler who actually started off in the kitchen as a line cook. It is safe to assume that Roode prefers his current line of work.

2 Kofi Kingston

The king of KofiMania, Kofi Kingston is one of the longest active members of the current WWE roster. The former champion started with the company back in 2006 and has since won multiple championships, including the WWE Championship.

It took a long road to get there, and that road started with a career at Staples' head office. Kingston worked there right after college and has gone on record saying how much he disliked the job. Thankfully for fans, he picked the road less traveled and ended up in the wrestling business.

The Chairman of WWE himself always wanted to follow in his father's footsteps and join the wrestling business. His father however, was not keen on the idea therefore Vince McMahon did not have the direct path he was expecting. In fact, Vince worked many jobs before becoming an on-screen talent.

The billionaire started out as a traveling cup salesman going door-to-door trying to make a living. The family was actually struggling for quite sometime until Vince was able to take the reins of WWE and make it force that it is today. The former cup salesman is the definition of a self-made man who worked hard to come as far as he has.
