Cristiano Ronaldo Plans To Join MLS..... But When?

via facetasdeportivastv.com

Cristiano Ronaldo is a three-time FIFA Ballon d'Or winner and the second best soccer player in the world (or best according to others, but this post isn't for that debate). He is also rumoured to be dating a gorgeous sports reporter and now it is being said that he plans to come and play in the MLS.

Okay, so the reports are that he wants to come to the MLS in 2018 when is contract with Real Madrid is up, but still... that's a big deal! And sure he will be 33 years old when/if that happens, but still... that's a big deal!

If CR7 actually does this, it will be the biggest thing to hit MLS since David Beckham bent his way over to MLS in 2007 (from Real Madrid as well). And like Beckham, Ronaldo is the kind of player with the kind of international fame that could grow the fan base in North America - no offence to Kaka, David Villa, Steven Gerrard and Frank Lampard.

And that might not be the only Ronaldo/Beckham connection. It is being reported that Ronaldo would want to play in either LA, New York or Miami. And Miami is supposed to be getting a team in the next few years with Beckham as a co-owner.
