NYC FC is currently sitting in 8th place in the MLS Eastern Conference and they have won just one of their first 9 matches. So, I guess it's fair to say that fans aren't that enthused by the team at this point. But, thankfully the organization has come up with a way to get fans excited again and bring a fun and enthusiastic atmosphere to their games. Songs!
Yup, what you see in the image above is an actual song sheet that the team was handing out to fans at the game. If you haven't had a good cringe today well check out these wonderfully cringe-worthy suggestions.
It's hard for me to pick a favorite, but you gotta love:
"Come on New York Score a goal it's really very simple/Put the ball into the net & We'll go mental (followed by lots of "na na nas")
That awesome number is called "Come on New York Score a Goal," but fans can also bust out "Some History," which goes like this:
You might have some history/But we don't give a crud/Your team will always be a joke until they win a cup/(shout the Opposing team's name)!!!
Okay, I think that one is my favorite. Not only did they try and clean up the language by using "crud" but they then went ahead and tried to rhyme "crud" with "cup." And best of all the song ends with the crowd shouting the opposing team name, which could likely come across as just cheering the other team!
Now, if for some strange reason fans don't want to sing any of those songs (Although, I can't see why not) the team did put a disclaimer at the bottom of the paper that reads:
"*** Songs not included on this list may still be sung during the game***"
