Steve Nash has acquired a controlling share of Spanish team, Real Mallorca after he joined an ownership group, Liga ACQ Legacy Partners, along with Phoenix Suns owner Robert Sarver. The former two-time NBA MVP -- and ardent soccer fan -- will have a day-to-day role with the club according to Marca, though it's not specified what exactly he'll be doing.

Mallorca were the 2003 Copa del Rey winners, however, after 16 consecutive years in La Liga, were relegated to Liga Adelante in 2013.
