was a member of the Austrian 'Wunderteam' of the 1930s, and played for eight teams over the course of his career, although his longest and greatest spell came with Slavia Prague, where he scored 395 goals in 217 games. Bican was known for his incredible speed; he could run the 100 meters in 10.8 seconds, as fast as some Olympic sprinters of that era.
