Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson has offered a reaction to his daughter's new wrestling name following her NXT debut.

Simone Johnson is a fourth-generation wrestler who is currently undergoing training at the WWE Performance Center with the hopes of becoming as big of a star as her father is.

Now going by the name "Ava Raine," the 20-year-old made her debut at a recent WWE NXT live event, referring to herself as the "Final Girl." Of course, the burden of being The Rock's daughter will be difficult to overcome, which is why she's seeking to build her own identity with her new moniker.

The Rock recently appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, where he discussed his daughter's NXT promo with Kerry Washington and praised her performance.

"She made her debut in WWE, their smaller federation, NXT. She did so good," he said in quotes transcribed by Fightful. "She went out there on the microphone. You have to be poised when you go out there. She has a cool wrestling name, Ava Raine.”

“It comes from all different areas," he said after being asked how people come up with wrestling names. "It’s probably a mix of what she wanted to do, what she wanted to be called. Ultimately, what the powers that be want her to be called as well. She’s the first fourth generation of pro wrestler in WWE. I always like to say that Ava Raine could mean a lot of things, but in my mind, it means she’s going to lay the smackdown on candy a**es.”

Ava Raine has yet to appear on WWE television, however, such an outing shouldn't be far off. She was expected to be part of the 20-woman battle royal that took place this week, but that was not the case.
