The Usos, holders of the SmackDown Tag Team Championships for nearly 200 days now, have broken their own record.

As noted by Andrew Ravens of WrestlingNews.co, Jimmy and Jey Uso have held the SmackDown Tag Team Championships for 187 days. This is the longest reign ever involving the two title belts, breaking the record that The Usos previously set (182 days).

Jimmy and Jey had a 182-day reign that lasted from Oct. 8, 2017 to Apr. 8, 2018. At WrestleMania 34, they were dethroned by The Bludgeon Brothers (Luke Harper and Erick Rowan). The Usos' current reign started when they defeated Rey and Dominik Mysterio at the July 18 Money in the Bank 2021 pay-per-view.

Unless they drop the titles relatively soon (unlikely), Jimmy and Jey will become the first SmackDown Tag Team championship holders to reach 200 days with the titles. At this time, they are not scheduled to defend the titles at next Saturday's Royal Rumble 2022 pay-per-view in St. Louis, Missouri.

The Bloodline Cropped

Last week, Reigns broke the record for the longest Universal Championship run. That record was previously held by Brock Lesnar (503 days), but Reigns himself snapped the title run at SummerSlam 2018. Simply put, it has been a historic and ultra-dominant run by The Bloodline.

Reigns will defend his Universal title against Seth Rollins at the Royal Rumble event. Because they lost a tag team match to Rollins and Kevin Owens via disqualification (due to interference from Reigns) on this week's episode of SmackDown, The Usos are not permitted to appear ringside.

No Stopping Reigns Or The Usos

Reigns, Jimmy and Jey Uso have established themselves as one of the most powerful stables in recent WWE memory. With record-setting championship reigns and all those matches in the main event spotlight, it's safe to say that their run together is far from over. WWE has done an excellent job in building them up as a dominant stable, and they have no reason to stop pushing the trio.
