The Usos have reached yet another milestone as the SmackDown Tag Team Champions.
Monday marks exactly one year since The Usos defeated Rey and Dominik Mysterio at WWE Money in the Bank 2021 to become the SmackDown Tag Team Champions. Jimmy and Jey have held the titles ever since, and they're closing in on 60 days as the holders of the Raw Tag Team Championships.
The Usos defeated Randy Orton and Riddle on the May 20 edition of WWE SmackDown to become the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions. This came less than two months after Bloodline leader Roman Reigns defeated Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 38 to become the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion. Last week, Reigns hit 100 days as the WWE Champion.
Among all current championship holders, only The Tribal Chief has a longer title reign than The Usos (686 days and counting). Reigns will reach the historic 700-day mark if he gets past Lesnar in their Last Man Standing showdown at SummerSlam 2022, which will run on July 30 inside Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee. The Usos will defend the titles against The Street Profits, who fell just short of defeating Jimmy and Jey at Money in the Bank 2021.
The Usos are also the holders of the second-longest SmackDown Tag Team Championships reign, having held them for 182 days from Oct. 8, 2017 to Apr. 8, 2018. They've held the title belts on five separate occasions, and the Raw Tag Team Championships three times.
The Bloodline Is On A Historic Run Together
At this point, it's safe to say that The Bloodline is the most dominant and accomplished WWE faction since The Shield. The Usos, Reigns and Paul Heyman have flourished in just about every aspect as a villainous main event group. They've all put on high quality matches against other elite talents during their run together.
