Three big AEW names could be leaving the promotion within the coming months, according to PWInsider (H/T WrestlingNews.co). As reported earlier, Lio Rush’s deal will run out next month, while Peter Avalon’s has already expired, and they will both be free agents.

According to the aforementioned source, Marko Stunt’s deal is also set to expire soon. Stunt hasn’t been seen on AEW programming in a few months but teased a “resurrection” via social media recently, leading to suggestions he will be at The WRLD on GCW’s PPV on Sunday.

Joey Janela’s contract is also reported to be approaching expiration and, should he not sign a new one, he will be gone by the time Double or Nothing comes back in May.

PWInsider is reporting that Brian Cage’s deal is set to expire soon too. Cage hasn’t wrestled since October and his wife took to Twitter to complain about his lack of usage at AEW sometime ago.

Of course, all three of the stars mentioned could sign new deals with the company, but it’s likely that they all leave as AEW has a pretty stacked roster now.

Janela Wants To Stay

Janela, though, has said he would like to continue working for AEW, with claims he enjoys being part of the brand. He spoke of the company in high regard, adding he would like to bridge the gap between AEW and GCW.

The New Jersey native has been with AEW since 2019, having debuted at Double or Nothing that year, and typically works Dark shows. He has continued to work for other promotions, including GCW, and is booked for a bout with Matt Cardona at The WRLD on GCW this Sunday.
