10 Managing Mark Henry

The last significant moment of Tony Atlas' career came on WWE's version of ECW where he got the chance to manage Mark Henry. The legend was paired with the World's Strongest Man as his manager, and it was a combination that did work very well.

Of course, that show was very much the third brand and didn't garner as much attention as others, which is why a lot of fans forgot about the fact that Atlas and Henry worked together for quite a while.

A lot of fans forget the fact that Tony Atlas was Mark Henry's manager, but even more don't remember them teaming together. That's right, Atlas returned to the ring and actually competed in a series of matches, with the two men becoming a tag team.

While Atlas was certainly past his prime at this point when it came to wrestling, he was still able to put together a solid encounter and didn't look out of place. However, despite Atlas' legendary status, the company didn't really make a massive deal out of his return to the ring.

8 Legends House

Something that a lot of people forget about Tony Atlas was the fact that he was part of the WWE Network show, Legends House. This series brought together a group of wrestling legends and stuck them in a house together where they could relive their past.

They got the chance to talk over the good times and the bad, while also doing different activities. It was an interesting show and certainly very entertaining, but it is part of Tony's career that a lot of fans are unaware of.

7 Appearances With The Rock

Because of Tony Atlas' history with Rocky Johnson, it made sense that the company brought him back when Rocky Maivia began making a name for himself. On the day Rocky won the Intercontinental Championship, Atlas returned to the company to celebrate with him and his father.

He then made a couple of random appearances, at one point holding Maivia back from fighting The Sultan as he was then shown in the crowd for a few of his matches. However, WWE never really committed a true storyline to this, which made this quite random and not as memorable as it could have been.

6 Teaming With The Barbarian

Fans certainly remember Tony Atlas' time working alongside Rocky Johnson, as one of the most famous tag teams of all time. However, when it came to Atlas' time in WCW, he ended up with a new tag team partner, working alongside The Barbarian.

The two of them didn't have the same levels of success as Tony's classic partnership, and because of that people don't tend to remember him working with The Barbarian. They didn't actually compete in too many matches together, which is why audiences have forgotten about them as a team.

5 ICW Heavyweight Champion

Another period of Tony Atlas' career that is often forgotten is when he was the IWC Heavyweight Champion. This was a title he won in 1988, defeating Joe Savoldi to capture the gold. However, it wasn't a period of time that people were particularly talking about him.

Even though this run did bring him one of his most famous matches, against Vic Steamboat, fans do not tend to talk about this run at all, which is largely down to the fact it wasn't with one of the major companies.

4 WrestleMania Debut

Tony Atlas got the chance to compete at WrestleMania 2, but a lot of fans will not remember that fact. The main reason for that is because he was involved in the battle royal that saw WWE wrestlers battle a variety of NFL athletes.

Atlas was eliminated by William Perry in this match and wasn't one of the most features stars such as Andre The Giant or Bret Hart. He was more somebody to fill the match, which made it a forgettable moment for him.

3 Battle Of The Bodies

Tony Atlas always had a brilliant physique and that is something that helped him stand out over the years. However, it also led to WWE putting him in storylines with Hercules and Ted Arcidi which was completely based on who was strongest.

These ended up being very poorly received at the time, with fans not enjoying the angle and Atlas was released shortly after them. Because of that, it isn't a surprise that most fans have forgotten this period of his career.

2 Laughing Gimmick

In the later years of Tony Atlas' career, he was used as a legend in backstage skits or different segments, such as the Slammy Awards. For some reason, WWE gave him a gimmick where he just laughed constantly for no reason.

It's something that made no sense and fans didn't like it at the time, which is likely why most people have forgotten this period of his career. It wasn't an enjoyable gimmick to watch and didn't really make the most of his legacy either.

1 Siba Simba

Wrestlers often go through a lot of gimmick changes throughout their careers, and Tony Atlas was no different in that regard. When he returned to WWE for his second spell, the decision was made to give him a new gimmick and name as he became Siba Simba.

He was a warrior from an Ugandan tribe, but it didn't get over at all. Fans didn't like it and the character had no real depth, which is why it was only a brief run that didn't really have any memorable storylines, hence why it is a forgotten part of Atlas' career.
