Wrestling weddings have been a staple of the industry over the years, particulary with WWE as it is a popular sports entertainment aspect of the show. When the storyline is right and the people involved are also able to pull it off, these segments can become iconic and go down in history as very memorable.

Whether it be Edge and Lita or Randy Savage and Miss Elizabeth, there have been some iconic weddings in wrestling. However, at the same time, there have been some terrible wedding segments as well. When a wrestling wedding is poor, the segment can be truly embarrassing, which is why there's plenty of these moments that people have forgotten completely.

8 David Flair & Stacy Keibler

There isn't much about David Flair's wrestling career that people remember. While he always tried his best to entertain, he wasn't able to come close to what his father was capable of in terms of entertaining a crowd or telling a story.

This wedding segment took place in WCW, but didn't actually happen in the end. Stacy Keibler wound up ending the relationship during the big day, and she ended up working with Shawn Stasiak instead, with this wedding being forgotten by most.

7 Johnny Curtis & Maxine

People don't remember much from NXT prior to it becoming the show that it is today. The first season was memorable due to the creation of Nexus, but much later it became a brand where WWE attempted to build stars without it really taking off.

That is why fans certainly do not remember NXT's wedding on the 100th episode of the show. This took place between Johnny Curtis and Maxine, although it did have Derick Bateman at the heart of it as well, which was supposed to be the hook to grip people.

6 Goldust & Aksana

Another wedding that took place during this period of NXT was between Goldust and Aksana, which was also not well remembered by fans. This was a strange relationship and an odd period of time, with Goldust's character attempting to revive his career with his storyline.

A relationship with Aksana was seemingly what he felt would do the trick, which didn't make much sense. Because of that, it's no surprise that fans don't really remember this particular moment, with Michael Cole even taking the time to mock it on commentary.

5 Jeff Jarrett & Karen Angle

Over the years, TNA has seen its fair share of terrible segments, but the wedding between Jeff Jarrett and Karen Angle was one of the worst. It's something that audiences do not remember, mainly because the moment wasn't good.

Whether it was Eric Young as the ring bearer or Kurt Angle ending up destorying everything in sight with an axe, this was a mess. There was too much happening in one segment, and none of it was connecting in the entertaining manner it should have.

4 Kip Sabian & Penelope Ford

While this is a very recent wedding segment, that doesn't mean that it was a memorable one. This was the first time that AEW attempted to do a moment like this and overall, it just didn't work. There was too much going on here, from Miro's role to the Best Friends, there was a lot to focus on.

Kip and Penelope being a real life couple did help, but overall this wasn't a great segment. When people think about AEW doing non-wrestling segments, this isn't something that people will remember, as it was one of the weaker in-ring weddings.

3 Jay Lethal & SoCal Val

Both Jay Lethal and SoCal Val were entertaining in their own right, but this relationship wasn't something that the audience ever truly cared about. This was during Lethal's Randy Savage phase, and TNA went all in on that by having them try to recreate the famous relationship between Savage and Miss Elizabeth.

There was simply too many links between the original couple, and there was no way that they could ever get close to capturing that type of magic. Because of that, fans really don't remember this specific moment in TNA history.

2 Colonel Parker & Sister Sherri

WCW tried to make this particular wedding as entertaining as possible, placing them into a PPV for this moment at Clash Of Champions in 1996. However, that didn't mean that it ended up being a memorable moment, with most fans not being able to recall this particular marriage.

The entire thing was done to build the issues between Madusa and Sherri as she appeared and brawled with Sherri in this moment. However, the segment isn't something that holds up as a WCW classic.

1 Teddy Long & Kristal Marshall

This wasn't a wedding segment that anybody was screaming out to see, yet WWE decided to make it happen anyway. Teddy Long was not somebody that people really wanted to see pushed in a romantic storyline like this, no matter how entertaining he was.

The wedding itself was a classic example of WWE's comedy which was very over the top and didn't work. The segment was a cringey one that people wanted to forget about immediately, which is why audiences do not remember this moment taking place.
