Triple H was asked at Saturday's post-Survivor Series media conference if he could confirm rumors that WWE might scrap the current concept of Hell in a Cell as a pay-per-view. Not only did he seem to confirm WWE was thinking about changing that up, but he also mentioned that the company was going to be looking at all of their marquee match types and making determinations to where best they fit and how to offer them moving forward.

Among the match types Triple H seemed to talk about most were The Elimination Chamber and Money in the Bank. He noted that because Hell in a Cell is such a good way to finish off a heated rivalry between two WWE Superstars, it offers options and flexibility to be used when the timing is right. He called it a "giant blowoff". Conversely, he said that The Elimination Chamber isn't really a match that finishes off a feud. When he noted that he hears talk from fans that maybe all of these pay-per-views should go away, he gets it. He joked, "Nobody is ever going to call someone out and go, 'that's it, I'm tired of you, I challenge you to an Elimination Chamber with five other guys.' That doesn't work right? Same thing with like, that does it, I challenge you to Money in the Bank. I feel like there's a difference there."

"I think we have to reevaluate all of that, I think we have to look at that," he added. He said his plan is to look at the overall calendar for WWE and try to decide what the best way to put these matches on are and when best to showcase them. He said they also have to keep in mind all of the elements of any one show, including the storylines, the drawing power of the event and how it changes things to have one certain type of match on a card.

It's Up In The Air

Triple H wouldn't confirm that these pay-per-views were changing, but he did acknowledge that WWE is looking at how they present all of their shows and the certain match concepts they've come up with over the years. Fans will be fascinated to see what else changes.
