Triple H wasn't initially keen on the idea of The Judgment Day stable, according to a report.

WWE Hall of Famer Edge created the Judgment Day stable after WrestleMania 38, recruiting Damian Priest and later Rhea Ripley. On the June 6 episode of WWE Raw, the Judgment Day added former Universal Champion Finn Balor to the group. Moments later, however, Priest, Ripley and Balor betrayed and attacked Edge, thus forcing him out of the group.

The Judgment Day also recruited Dominik Mysterio at Clash at the Castle, moments after Edge and Rey Mysterio defeated Balor and Priest in a tag team bout. The Judgment Day is coming off a victory over The O.C. (AJ Styles, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson) at the Nov. 5 Crown Jewel pay-per-view.

Despite the stabel's early success and rising popularity, it took The Game some time to approve of The Judgment Day, WrestleVotes explaind to Louis Dangoor of GiveMeSport.

"I know back in late July or early August, whenever this whole shift happened, from what I was told Hunter wasn’t really cool with Judgement Day," WrestleVotes told Dangoor. "Not personally, but he just didn’t like the idea. But since he’s grown behind it, and I think that they’re going to be around for longer than anticipated."

Judgment Day and Edge Cropped

It's already been almost four months since Vince McMahon announced his retirement from WWE (July 22). Stephanie McMahon and Nick Khan were named the new co-CEOs of WWE, and Triple H took over as Head of Talent Relations as well as the leader of the creative team.

Triple H has brought back a plethora of superstars who were previously released from the company, and the 24/7 Championship was retired after three and a half years. The changes under the new WWE leadership team have been mostly positive up to this point, and it certainly bodes well for the Judgment Day that Triple H is seemingly on board with the idea of their faction.

Judgment Day Stable Is Exactly What Raw Needs

The Roman Reigns-led Bloodline faction has led the scene on WWE SmackDown for two years now and counting. It was pivotal for WWE's flagship program to also get a villainous stable that creative can build around long-term, and the Judgment Day has fit the bill perfectly. It'd be wise of Triple H and company to keep using them in the mid-card/tag team scene, because there has been a shortage of quality villainous stables for quite a while now.
