With WWE boss Vince McMahon and Head of Talent Relations John Laurinaitis away for the time being, Triple H has reportedly received more power within the company.

As previously noted, McMahon stepped aside as the WWE chairman and CEO last week as the company investigates allegations that he paid an employee hush money over an affair. Vince's daughter, Stephanie McMahon, is currently working as the interim chairwoman and CEO of WWE.

It was reported on Wednesday that Triple H showed up at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida and spoke with company talent. apparently, Triple H, Stephanie and longtime WWE manager and former Raw Executive Director Paul Heyman will be working closely in the foreseeable future.

In an update, Dave Meltzer reported on Wrestling Observer Radio (h/t WrestlingNews.co), that The Cerebral Assassin has seemingly given more power in WWE.

"He was just there," Meltzer said. "He said that he was back. He didn’t say what exactly that meant. I asked some people there, and they said that he just said things are happening, and he can’t talk about them right now, but he’s back. That’s basically it, whatever it is will come out in the days to come, but nobody knew exactly what he meant by that. Was he back running NXT? Perhaps. Is he back with more power? Yes. He does seem to have more power now. We’ll see what that all means."

As previously noted, Raw and SmackDown Executive Director Bruce Prichard is serving as the interim Head of Talent Relations. Laurinaitis, who's held the position for over a year, is on administrative leave as WWE investigates his alleged involvement in the McMahon hush money scandal.

Triple H Is Deserving Of More Power & Responsibilities

Triple H currently serves as the company's Executive Vice President of Global Talent Strategy and Development. With Vince stepping down from his roles during the investigation, it makes sense for WWE to turn to the boss' son-in-law to help run things behind the scenes, especially considering Triple H's experience in a leadership role.

Many WWE fans have been calling for Triple H to have more freedom on the creative side of things. After all, McMahon and WWE creative have often failed to properly utilize top superstars that were developed on NXT. Many believe that if Triple H had more input, the overall WWE product could be significantly better. It's unclear how much extra power he may have right now, but at any rate, this is a prime opportunity for The Game to show that he deserves more power and long-term input on the direction of the company.
