The fate of one of Ring of Honor's more popular wrestlers, Bandido, is currently up in the air following his appearance and match at the upcoming Supercard of Honor pay-per-view.

But what happens next for the Mexican star is anyone's guess, with reports suggesting his visa to work in the US is due to expire soon and it's unclear if he'll be able to get another one, and it is not known if that's something that ROH's new owners, AEW, might want.

PWInsider has reported that he had a work visa under Ring of Honor that will expire soon. It added that now that Ring of Honor has been purchased by Tony Khan, it’s still in question if he will sign ROH stars or renew any work visas.

Before the visa runs out though, Bandido is taking on Jonathan Gresham to determine who the undisputed champion of Ring of Honor is, with both men staking a legitimate claim to being the legitimate champion.

Bandido never lost the title he was holding. Instead, he was forced to pull out of the promotion's last pay-per-view before its hiatus - Final Battle - because of Covid.

The main event of that card featured Jay Lethal vs Jonathan Gresham for the Ring of Honor world title instead, and Gresham emerged as the victor.

Now the two are set to go head to head to prove once and for all who the real world champion is.

What Happens Next For Bandido Following Supercard Of Honor 2022?

PWInsider adds that it is likely that if the visa situation isn't resolved Bandido goes back to working events in Mexico for the time being, which will be a similar case for the international talents once signed with the promotion.

I guess his future also depends on how well the match goes at Supercard of Honor, if he emerges victorious as the new undisputed champion it makes sense that he'll be sticking around in the US and continuing to represent ROH as its champ.
