Most people who work in entertainment would shy away from the spotlight when being investigated by their own board of directors, whether they believed themselves to be innocent or not. Vince McMahon, well, he isn't most people. On the same day WWE revealed McMahon would be stepping back as the chairman pending the results of the investigation, the head of creative opened SmackDown. He then made a surprise appearance on Raw three days later.

One Small Leap For Vince

McMahon didn't have much to say during either of his short appearances, further solidifying the belief the only reason he has been trotting out in front of fans is to prove he still can. Nevertheless, his appearance on Raw has got social media buzzing, but not for the reason McMahon or anyone else would have expected.

When off camera and leaving the ring, McMahon jumped down the steps, either to prove to the few who could see him that he still can, or simply because he misjudged the steps. Either way, one of the fans nearby caught the moment on camera. Not in a video, but an actual still photo, and it's pretty amazing. So amazing that the internet has taken the snap and run with it, photoshopping McMahon into just about every scenario imaginable.

Vince Has Gone Viral

Suffice to say, McMahon has inadvertently gone viral for jumping down some steps a week after he was accused of having an affair with a paralegal and paying her to keep quiet about it. Some of the frontrunners on the meme front include McMahon being thrown off Hell in a Cell by The Undertaker, dancing down the steps from Joker, and my personal favorite, as a puppet in the music video for NSYNC's Bye Bye Bye.

It wouldn't have been the positive spin McMahon was expecting to come out of his nothing appearances on live TV, but he'll likely take it. Anything to distract fans from the investigation going on into his alleged actions behind the scenes. No word yet on whether his appearances will continue. His showing on Raw wasn't advertised ahead of time like the SmackDown one, so there's a chance his music will keep hitting unexpectedly over the coming weeks.
