Diamond Dallas Page had a legendary journey of starting the wrestling journey later than most and still becoming a major success story. WCW using DDP as a manager at first culminated in him becoming an active wrestler after training. Various chapters of Page’s career saw new character roles leading to new opponents.

Each wrestler to feud with DDP saw him trying his best to make it work. However, not all worked out as the results varied from massive success to severe disappointment. WCW was always a mixed bag when it came to the creative side of the product. Page had feuds with all of the following wrestlers with hit or miss legacies.

10 Johnny B. Badd

One of the first real feuds for Diamond Dallas Page came during a heel push against Johnny B. Badd. DDP’s wife Kimberly Page became part of the storyline here as a manager. Badd tried to free her from DDP’s heel ways bossing her around.

The payoff came with B. Badd winning a match that allowed Kimberly to leave DDP’s side and to become his manager moving forward. WCW didn’t get much success out of this angle, especially since Marc Mero ended the Badd character by leaving for WWE.

9 Scott Steiner

WCW placed Diamond Dallas Page and Scott Steiner in a feud for the WCW Championship in the final months of the company’s time. However, their rivalry started earlier when Steiner cut a shoot promo insulting Kimberly Page leading to a real-life fight backstage.

The hope was to use any tension and their general star power into a money making rivalry for the top prize. WCW felt too far gone at that point to return to prominence and even programs with two credible names like this left a lot to be desired.

8 Jeff Jarrett

The New Blood storyline in WCW featured the established top stars of the Millionaire’s Club feuding with the younger wrestlers. Jeff Jarrett was considered the top heel wrestler of the New Blood, despite authority figures Eric Bischoff and Vince Russo being the leaders.

Diamond Dallas Page was the face wrestler representing the Millionaire’s Club against Jarrett. An up and down feud for the WCW Championship saw Jarrett winning the big matches when Kimberly Page and David Arquette each betrayed DDP.

7 Chris Kanyon

Another wrestler to betray Diamond Dallas Page during the New Blood vs Millionaire’s Club story was Chris Kanyon. WCW established Kanyon as a close friend of DDP, from their tag team days in the Jersey Triad to remaining his only ally after all the turns.

This of course was all to set up another betrayal when Kanyon stabbed Page in the back. WCW gave Kanyon more television time to impersonate DDP in comedic fashion. Even with some fun segments, they didn’t get a strong enough match to perfectly pay everything off.

6 Bret Hart

WCW signed Bret Hart as a major free agent signing, but they spent too long placing him in less relevant feuds. Diamond Dallas Page had one of the rare fun Bret WCW rivalries when the two had a series of matches for the United States Championship.

Hart and Page were two rare top stars who could wrestle for a mid-card title and not seem like they were having a letdown. WCW gave DDP a couple of big victories over Bret to ensure that he’d remain a top face heading into 1999.

5 Kevin Nash

WCW utilized the history between Diamond Dallas Page and Kevin Nash multiple times. The close friendship in the early 1990s was referenced when Nash and Scott Hall tried to recruit Page into joining the New World Order.

DDP tricking Nash before attacking him and Hall was a huge moment in his career. WCW booked a more traditional singles feud in 1999 over the WCW Championship. Page’s heel character clashing with Nash as a face led to some underrated moments together.

4 Curt Hennig

The signing of Curt Hennig saw WCW trying to make him an upper card heel in the New World Order. Diamond Dallas Page had one of the better rivalries with Hennig when clashing. Hennig had already betrayed Page in a debut tag match before he betrayed the rest of WCW.

A series of matches between the two featured the wins being exchanged, but the matches always delivered. DDP and Hennig were considered two of the most versatile wrestlers and it led to some fun moments as opponents.

3 Goldberg

WCW booked a few different chapters to the generally successful Diamond Dallas Page vs Goldberg feud. Halloween Havoc 1998 was the peak where they met in a face vs face instant classic for the WCW Championship.

The story of both men trying to be the best was enough to utilize their chemistry effectively. Goldberg winning that match saw them as allies until Page turned heel a while later. This chapter of their feud is less memorable, but it was still cool to see their chemistry playing out in a different way.

2 Raven

One of the most underrated rivalries in WCW history featured Diamond Dallas Page and Raven going at it. WCW claimed they had a background causing them to be enemies that spiraled into must-watch matches and even wilder segments.

MTV even helped progress it when Raven attacked DDP on one of the most-watched television shows TRL. WCW gave them a few PPV matches that all delivered in strong fashion. Raven and Page both did some of the best work of their respective careers as rivals.

1 Randy Savage

Randy Savage WCW

No feud was as important to Diamond Dallas Page’s career as his rivalry with Randy Savage. Page humiliating the New World Order saw Savage becoming the heel to work a singles feud with him. Savage and Miss Elizabeth bullying DDP’s wife Kimberly Page made it even more persona.

Page winning his first match over Savage in a PPV main event helped him become a beloved top face moving forward. Even though Savage won the next two PPV matches, DDP was always benefiting from having such a great program with a legend.
