WCW was once the top wrestling program on television. The company helped launch world-renowned stars and also created one of the most well-known factions in the history of wrestling, the nWo. Many stars like Hulk Hogan and Lex Luger arrived to WCW with huge fanfare. Not a single person arrived to a bigger crowd and international reaction than The Outsiders (Kevin Nash and Scott Hall).

Many other "no name" wrestlers also got their start at the company with much smaller reactions. Sometimes they were jobbers. Other times, they were just "no name" stars. This list will examine 10 WCW wrestlers who made their debut and almost nobody cared.

10 Eddie Guerrero

Eddie Guerrero WCW

Eddie Guerrero is one of the greatest wrestlers to ever set foot in a WWE ring. Although he did shine a handful of times at WCW, overall, Guerrero was severely underutilized at the company. He debut at WCW (when it was still a member of the NWA) in 1989.

On a televised episode of NWA World Championship Wrestling, Guerrero battled wrestling legend, Terry Funk. Funk was clearly the attraction in the match that aired on TBS. Guerrero ended up losing the bout and the crowd in attendance had no idea the mullet-headed wrestler would end up being a future icon.

9 Steve Austin

Steve Austin WCW

Steve Austin helped the WWE become the world-renowned entertainment juggernaut it is today. Long before he was "Stone Cold" and the face of the Attitude Era, Austin competed in WCW. He debuted with the company in 1991.

On an episode of WCW World Championship Wrestling, "Stunning" Steve Austin defeated Chuck Coates in less than five minutes. He stormed into the ring as a heel accompanied by Vivacious Veronica and the audience didn't even care enough to boo the long-haired blonde.

8 Kevin Nash

Kevin Nash's debut with the nWo was Nash's second stint at WCW. His first run with the company is much less well-known and his arrival had little impact on the WCW audience. It happened at Clash Of The Champions 12 in 1990.

After at first cheering The Lightning Express (Brad Armstrong and Tim Horner) upon their arrival to the ring, the crowd went almost silent at the arrival of The Master Blasters (Master Blaster Iron and Master Blaster Steele). Master Blaster Steele was Nash's first gimmick at WCW and it is often forgotten for good reason, it was awful.

7 Sting

Sting is as responsible for the success of WCW in the '90s as any other wrestler to ever compete in the company. He spent most of the beginning of his wrestling career with WCW, debuting back in 1988.

During an episode of NWA Pro, Sting competed in a tag team match with Lex Luger. The two defeated David Isley and Larry Stephens in a forgettable match that lasted less than three minutes.

6 Rey Mysterio Jr.

Rey Mysterio vs Dean Malenko

Rey Mysterio is one of the most well-known wrestlers on the planet. He's been at the WWE for over 20 years but rose to stardom at WCW. He put on many memorable matches at the company but was as severely underutilized as a ton of other cruiserweights.

Mysterio debuted at The Great American Bash 1996. Competing against Dean Malenko, Mysterio was a no-name luchador in pink tights that few fans reacted to upon his arrival to the ring. By the end of the match, he had done so many shocking high-flyer moves that the audience couldn't help but be intrigued by him. A few weeks later he would be "over" big time.

5 Konnan

Konan WCW debut

Konnan was a big name in WCW. Even when he was a member of the nWo, he managed to find a way to shine despite the faction being absolutely stacked with big-name superstars.

In 1990, Konnan made his WCW debut as a masked wrestler named "Konan." On an episode of WCW World Wide Wrestling, he quickly defeated Chuck Coats. He seemed like a passerby wrestler with a strange gimmick and the audience felt the same way. Six years later he would return to the company and make a serious run as the "Konnan" fans know now.

4 Mick Foley

Mick Foley inWCW

Although his time in WCW was not nearly as successful as his career in the WWE, Mick Foley competed at the company for almost five years. He debuted in 1989 on an episode of NWA World Championship Wrestling.

Teaming up with Ned Brady, Foley wrestled as "Cactus Jack Manson" against Ranger Ross and Tommy Rich. Foley didn't even receive an entrance at the televised event. The pair were jobbers and no one knew the wrestler in leopard skin tights would be such a huge star in less than a decade.

3 Raven

Scotty The Body

Years before he was a huge star in wrestling, Raven debuted in WCW as "Scotty The Body" in 1992. Teaming up with Rip Rogers, his debut match was against Barry Windham and Dustin Rhodes.

Rogers and Scotty were quickly defeated in the debut bout. The "Scotty The Body" gimmick lasted for only a few months and he would adopt the "Scotty Flamingo" persona shortly after his debut, which also did little to move the bar for Raven.

2 Diamond Dallas Page

Diamond Dallas Page

Diamond Dallas Page became one of the top names at WCW by the time it was purchased by Vince McMahon in 2001. He was a three-time WCW World Heavyweight Champion, but his debut was much less interesting.

DDP made his television debut on an episode of WCW World Championship Wrestling in 1991. He quickly defeated Johnny Rich and no one would have expected him to last more than a year. He ended up being with the company for a decade.

1 Triple H

HHH as Terra Ryzing in WCW

Triple H's time at WCW was nothing special. He was there for less than a year and had two awful gimmicks in that short span. "Jean-Paul Levesque" was a bad precursor to the bad gimmick he debuted with in the WWE, "The Blueblood" Hunter Hearst Helmsley.

Jean-Paul Levesque was not his first WCW gimmick, however. Triple H debuted as "Terra Ryzing" against Keith Cole on an episode of WCW Saturday Night. The debut was completely forgettable and Cole was a jobber who received equal cheers in comparison to the future head of WWE Creative.
