It may not be the lone reason Bray Wyatt was released by WWE, but according to Andrew Zarian of the Mat Men Pro Wrestling podcast, attitude issues and weight concerns were among the factors behind the decision to let Wyatt go. If true, it could explain why the performer was among the many budget cut releases, despite being one of the more popular wrestlers in the company.

Zarian's exact words were that Wyatt was “difficult” and he had “weight issues.” The podcast host was being careful to tiptoe around the subject because he didn't want to suggest these were the lone reasons Wyatt was let go, but he did say, there were issues. He does acknowledge that financial cutbacks played a role as well, but suggested the decision was easier to make because of said problems.

Zarian notes: “I’m not even gonna allude to where it came from or who told me this. I would say that this is probably one of the most legitimate people I’ve spoken to that that would be able to address this…” He continued:

“He was a little difficult. He had some performance issues in the ring and he had some weight issues and I’m not saying that’s a reason but you kind of piece things together as to the things when you evaluate a talent and you’re like we need this, we need that and this is the plan moving forward…sometimes the decision is easier to make if you make it more difficult for them to make that decision."

Zarian did double down on the fact the weight and performance issues weren't the only problems and said, "these decisions are not cut and dry." He believed Wyatt wasn't happy in WWE either and some of that could have affected why he was being difficult. Zarian didn't come out and say as much, but the hint here seems to be that Wyatt was looking to get attention for the wrong reasons and the release didn't come as a surprise internally.

Wyatt Is Healthy And Medically Good To Go

Despite these rumored "problems", Zarian did say that Wyatt is cleared to wrestle and could join another company when his non-compete with WWE expires. That latest on him joining another promotion is that AEW's Tony Khan hasn't spoken with Wyatt, and while IMPACT Wrestling seems to be the favorite, that's not a slam dunk either.
