Few WWE superstars have been in as many roles as Edge during his legendary career. Wrestling fans have seen the start of Edge’s career all the way back in the Attitude Era to his current run still contributing after coming out of retirement. Edge typically always came out looking better due to his overall skill set and entertaining performances. WWE loves to provide a variety of content that requires the talent involved to take risks. 10 Impersonating Triple H In DX
WWE has been home to quite a few wrestlers trying to impersonate others. Triple H was considered successful in his segments impersonating The Rock and Vince McMahon at various points. Things would come full circle when Edge did his impression of Triple H.
Edge and Randy Orton formed Rated RKO to have a feud against Shawn Michaels and Triple H in D-Generation X. The hilarious segment of Rated RKO pretending to be DX featured Edge having a comically large nose and doing an exaggerated monotone promo making fun of Triple H.
9 Attacking A Laptop During Anonymous Raw GM Era
The Anonymous Raw General Manager is a controversial storyline that most of us have put in the past. WWE having a mysterious person running the show via emails added a lot of difficulties for booking a weekly show around that.
Edge had one of the rare amusing moments during this angle when growing frustrated with this ridiculous situation. Michael Cole read the emails from the GM and was told to shut up before Edge physically destroyed the laptop to stop the emails from coming in.
8 Using Lita’s Feet To Seduce Gene Snitsky
The romantic storyline of Lita and Edge becoming a couple led to Edge taking the next step in finally reaching the main event scene. Edge needed the right angle to move into that elusive role, and he received a lot more heel heat with Lita.
The recurring story of Lita doing everything possible to give Edge an advantage. Raw heel Gene Snitsky was tempted by his former enemy Lita when Edge asked her to show him her feet. Snitsky having a foot fetish saw him helping Edge against face wrestlers for a short time.
7 Patriotic Tag Team With Hulk Hogan Despite Being Canadian
Edge has admitted that Hulk Hogan was his first favorite wrestler growing up a diehard fan and wanting to root for the ultimate face character. That likely made it even cooler when Edge won the WWE Tag Team Championship with Hogan in 2002.
The weird part featured them leaning into the United States patriotism like Hogan’s character always did despite Edge being from Canada. Hogan and Edge waved the American flag after winning on Independence Day and entered a feud with the Un-Americans.
6 Abducting Paul Bearer
Everyone remembers Edge’s heel character being vicious and sadistic, but he brought that side of him to the future face run as well. Kane’s World Championship reign saw him moving into a feud with the now-face Edge looking to win back his favorite title.
Edge crossed the line when abducting Paul Bearer to get in Kane’s head as the running theme for an episode of SmackDown. Fans supported Edge since he was the face but acts like trapping Bearer in a freezer or shoving him down while tied to a chair were bold moments.
5 Recreating Ric Flair's Road Rage Incident
WWE placed Edge in a feud with Ric Flair over the Intercontinental Championship in late 2005 and early 2006. Flair suffered an embarrassing story around this time for getting in trouble with the law after a road rage incident.
Edge used this as heel fodder to mess with Flair by filming a humorous recreation of the moment. A short blond wig and pink robe saw Edge trying to look like Flair while attacking a driver on the road and putting him in a Figure Four Leglock.
4 Feuding With Booker T Over Japanese Shampoo Ad
Edge having his first singles WrestleMania against Booker T felt like a good idea since both were relevant names trying to move up the card. WWE however chose to come up with a weird storyline that would become more of a priority than having a great match or angle.
Booker was livid when finding out that Edge was picked over him for a shampoo commercial airing in Japan. The reveal had fans scratching their heads at first before Edge and Booker made it work relatively well as a funny, odd storyline for the biggest show of the year.
3 Having A Kazoo Battle With New Day
The New Day getting over in the mid-2000s as one of the most important WWE acts got compared to Edge and Christian. Best friends teaming up for great matches and hilarious segments will always see a comparison to Edge and Christian’s work in the Attitude Era.
WWE found a way to book them in the same segment when the legends returned during an episode of Raw. Edge and Christian were known for their funny moments playing kazoos in the past, so it only made sense they’d have a kazoo battle with New Day. Big E eating the kazoo was the funniest moment of the segment that fans enjoyed.
2 Kelly Kelly Defending Title With Him
Edge’s face World Championship reign in 2011 saw his former love interest Vickie Guerrero trying to stack the odds against him. Dolph Ziggler was Vickie’s new boyfriend and received everything in his favor to challenge Edge for the top prize.
One wild moment from the feud featured Kelly Kelly getting involved after Vickie had issues with her. Edge and Kelly vs Dolph and LayCool in a handicap match put Edge’s title on the line. Kelly stepping up led to Edge getting to retain the title via their tag victory.
1 Affair With Wedding Planner Alicia Fox
WWE booked Edge in a weird storyline when trying to come up with the right ending to the Edge and Vickie Guerrero wedding angle. Everyone knew that something would interrupt them, but Triple H showed a video that changed the entire storyline.
Alicia Fox made her WWE debut in the wedding planner role for Edge and Vickie. Triple H’s video showed Edge making out with Fox and cheating on Vickie behind her back. Edge felt the wrath of Vickie shortly after as Fox moved into a different role.
