Some WWE wrestlers can be hated simply because they are great at their job, bringing in heat as a heel. However, there are plenty of talents that aren't even supposed to be heels that end up being hated by fans around the world, which is something that can stick with them throughout their lives.

Some wrestlers are still disliked even after they leave the company for specific reasons. Whether it is down to actions they do during their career or actions outside the ring, wrestling fans are happy to hold a grudge at times, often not letting certain people off the hook.

10 Hulk Hogan

Hulk Hogan might be one of the most iconic professional wrestlers, but he is also hated by a huge portion of the audience. It is well-known as to why the Hulkster is disliked, which is due to the racial comments that he made in his personal life.

While WWE did eventually decide to forgive him, the same cannot be said for the fans. There is a small portion of the audience that still cheers Hogan and gets excited when he's announced, however that isn't the case for most people, with Hulk often being booed when he appears now.

Ryback is another former WWE Superstar who audiences still dislike. This is showcased by the polls that he often does, asking fans where they would like to see him work. He kept putting in the option of retiring, and wrestling fans always picked that one first.

It highlights the fact that fans have not forgotten about CM Punk calling him out for being dangerous inside the ring. That podcast led to a lot of dislike for him as a wrestler, which hasn't been helped by the comments he has made on social media about the industry since that point.

8 Nia Jax

Nia Jax was an effective heel at times during her wrestling career, and part of the reason and disliked her so much was down to the fact she was good at her job. However, towards the end of her career with the company, Nia was beginning to gain a reputation for being dangerous.

From incidents with Becky Lynch to Kairi Sane, the reckless in-ring style is something that turned fans against her. While she used it to her advantage in storylines, it wasn't a great situation for her.

7 Jaxson Ryker

Jaxson Ryker was fortunate that the WWE Universe wasn't able to attend shows physically when he began making political comments, as he would have gained terrible reactions. He had major heat behind the scenes in WWE because of what he said, and a lot of the fans tended to agree.

Fans did not appreciate the situation, with political beliefs always being a risk to share publicly. Ryker never won the fans over, even though WWE attempted to turn him babyface, and that will stick with him forever.

6 Goldberg

Goldberg is popular with a portion of wrestling fans, there is no doubt about that. However, at the same time, it is impossible to deny the fact that a group of the WWE Universe also hates him, which is down to the fact that he ended Bret Hart's in-ring career.

Considering the fact Bret was one of the greatest of all time, being responsible for his career finishing was never going to bode well for him. His in-ring work not being the strongest hasn't helped his case over the years either with the pure wrestling fans.

5 Alberto Del Rio

Alberto Del Rio has always been quite a controversial character in the world of professional wrestling, but he is not somebody that WWE fans like to this day. Audiences lost all respect for him during his tumultuous relationship with Paige, which was filled with a lot of low points for her.

He also went on to make a lot of negative comments regarding Triple H, plus his decision to consistently lie and claim he is set to return to the company only to never turn up only serves to annoy audiences further.

4 JBL

JBL is someone who earned the respect of the WWE Universe due to the years he put into the industry and the moments he had. However, from the moment he legitimately bust open the Blue Meanie, audiences began to sour on him as a person.

The fact that stories consistently came out about him regarding hazing talent from Matt Hardy to Justin Roberts only intensified the hate some audiences had for him. While a lot of casual audiences still respect him, that isn't the case for many hardcore fans.

3 Michael Cole

Even though Michael Cole is an excellent commentator who has done a great job over the years, he has been consistently hated by fans. The reason for that is down to his heel run, which was over the top and forced down the WWE Universe's throats.

From doing the announcements for the Anonymous GM to his terrible storyline with Jerry Lawler, he was unable to shift the heat that he got from that. It's a shame because his work deserved more respect, but he wasn't able to overcome WWE's poor booking of him.

2 Eva Marie

Eva Marie was hated in wrestling simply due to her lack of ability inside the ring. She was pushed heavily simply for her looks and to promote Total Divas. Fans didn't believe she was putting in the necessary work and because of that, they turned against her.

Even when Eva returned to the company, fans still treated her in the same manner. People were not happy to see her, and that is something that is going to stick with the former WWE star throughout her entire career.

1 Jinder Mahal

Jinder Mahal is another wrestler who has been hated due to the booking he received by management. Audiences didn't care either way about him as that is how WWE positioned him. However, when he randomly became WWE Champion, audiences turned.

His run was too long and filled with poor storylines. That included a racist moment with Shinsuke Nakamura which only added to the dislike audiences had. People never got onboard with him after that point.
