Following speculation that Bobby Fish won't see his contract in AEW renewed, another star looks to be leaving AEW, at least for the foreseeable future. Will Ospreay took to social media and sent a message to fans, along with a thank you to Tony Khan for giving him an opportunity despite some in the company trying to hold him back.

While the tweet is written in a way that almost blames Khan for his exit, it appears there is supposed to be a period that is missing in the opening remarks and that Ospreay is thanking Khan for the opportunity, while holding Kenny Omega responsible for him almost not getting a shot. Ospreay wrote, "For the foreseeable future my time with @AEW is done thanks to @TonyKhan for having your own mind and not listening to @KennyOmegamanX attempts at blocking me from coming to do a few matches for ya. We are even for now Ken, keep your mouth shut & we won’t have any issues."

Ospreay is widely known as one of the best in-ring workers not under a major contract with AEW or WWE. He's been a star in Japan and all around the world and his short stint in AEW only whetted the appetite of a number of wrestling fans who wanted to see him get a longer run and put together a few matches with some of the company's top stars. The announcement comes after he was part of Dynamite's main event in a trios match that saw Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks move on in the tournament.

Ospreay's Run Wasn't Long Enough For Most Fans

Ospreay made his AEW debut on the June 8 episode of AEW Dynamite as part of the company's build towards AEW vs NJPW Forbidden Door. He defeated Orange Cassidy at the pay-per-view but only wrestled a couple of matches on Dynamite and Rampage.
