Before being a part of NXT's programming, In Your House used to be a regular part of WWE's main programming in the 1990s. In fact, WWE produced a total of 27 In Your House shows, starting from 1995 with the last show taking place in 1999.

Due to the reduced runtime, we often saw consistent In Your House shows. However, there were also occasions where the events would be absolutely forgettable. Let's take a look at the 10 worst In Your House PPVs in WWE history.

10 In Your House 12: It's Time

The Undertaker v The Executioner In Your House 12 It's Time Cropped

The name of this PPV was the catchphrase of popular wrestler Vader, but he didn't wrestle on the show. Another top wrestler who didn't wrestle on the show was Shawn Michaels. The absence of these two wrestlers really affected the PPV quality.

The PPV had some decent matches. Flash Funk and Leif Cassidy had a pretty exciting fast-paced match. Marc Mero and Hunter Hearst Helmsley also had a solid clash. The main event between Bret Hart and Sycho Sid was also quite good. However, the show didn't have any great match which would be remembered as a classic.

9 In Your House 21: Unforgiven

Unforgiven IYH

The show had a pretty good start with a decent six-man tag team match between the teams of Faarooq, Ken Shamrock and Steve Blackman and The Nation. Followed by this, we saw another good match between Triple H and Owen Hart for the European title.

However, the PPV failed to keep up with the start and struggled in the middle. Kane and The Undertaker had a first-ever Inferno match, but it wasn't really that great. The main event between Steve Austin and Dude Love for the WWE title saved the show somewhat. It ended in a DQ, but it was quite an exciting match before that.

8 In Your House 25: Judgement Day

Undertaker v Kane Judgment Day 1998 Cropped

Throughout 1998, WWE's PPV main events were mostly great, but they were unable to have a solid undercard. At the Judgement Day PPV, the opposite happened. Christian and Taka Michinoku set the tone for the show with a brilliant Light Heavyweight title match.

X-Pac and D'Lo Brown were having some great mid-card matches in 1998, and they had another one at this PPV. Mankind vs. Ken Shamrock was also a good bout. However, the main event completely disappointed everyone. Kane and The Undertaker had a very boring match, only for it to end in a no contest.

7 In Your House 20: No Way Out Of Texas

Kane vs. Vader (In Your House: No Way Out Of Texas, 1998)

This PPV is quite similar to the "It's Time" PPV we talked about earlier: Some solid matches throughout the card, but no memorable classic. The Light Heavyweight division continued to shine as Taka Michinoku and Pantera had an exciting contest early in the show.

Kane and Vader also had a match. It wasn't the best big man contest you'd expect, but it was still pretty hard-hitting. In the main event we saw a great non-sanctioned eight-man tag team match, where the team of Cactus Jack, Chainsaw Charlie, Owen Hart and Steve Austin took on The New Age Outlaws, Savio Vega and Triple H.

6 In Your House 23: Fully Loaded

Undertaker Fully Loaded 1998 Cropped

This PPV could have been much better if there were fewer matches on the show. Due to so many unnecessary matches on the card, it felt more like a Raw episode than a PPV. The best match of the night was easily the two-out-of-three falls Intercontinental title match between The Rock and Triple H.

Before we saw the IC title match, we also got a nice opener between Val Venis and Jeff Jarrett. Ken Shamrock and Owen Hart also had a short but solid Dungeon match. In the main event, The Undertaker and Steve Austin defeated Kane and Mankind to win the Tag Team titles.

5 In Your House 22: Over The Edge

Steve Austin v Dude Love

This PPV is a perfect example of a one-match show. The event started off with an awful tag team match between LOD 2000 and The Disciples of Apocalypse. The Rock and Faarooq also had a very boring contest for the Intercontinental title.

Kane and Vader collided in a Mask vs. Mask match which was a very slow contest. Finally, in the main event we had one good match which saved the show from being complete trash. Steve Austin and Dude Love faced off in a great match for the WWE title. The match was very fun and one of the best matches of both men's careers.

4 In Your House 1

Bret Hart v Hakushi Raw July 24, 1995 Cropped

The In Your House series didn't have a great start as the first edition of the show wasn't good. Like the previous entry, this is also a one-match show. The one great match from the show was the opening match itself, between Hakushi and Bret Hart.

From there, the show went downhill. The handicap match between Razor Ramon and Jeff Jarrett and The Roadie was a bit decent, but it was also lame. Bret Hart had another match on the show against Jerry Lawler, but it wasn't as good as his bout with Hakushi. The main event between Sycho Sid and Diesel for the WWE title was also boring.

3 In Your House 26: Rock Bottom

Undertaker and Steve Austin collide in a Buried Alive Match

This was the time in WWE when we were seeing the rise of The Rock as a top star, as the name suggests. The PPV had two good matches. Steve Blackman and Owen Hart had a solid encounter. The Rock and Mankind, even though they would go on to have better matches in the future, had a good outing at the PPV.

The rest of the card though, absolutely sucked. Despite the card having eight matches, there isn't anything worth watching apart from the previously mentioned two matches. In the main event, The Undertaker and Steve Austin collided in a Buried Alive match. It was a pretty weak encounter, and not a good way to end the show.

2 In Your House 19: D-Generation X

Ken Shamrock vs. Shawn Michaels (In Your House: DX)

This show was filled with weak and terrible matches. Butterbean and Marc Mero had a horrible boxing match which bored everyone. The Boot Camp match between Triple H and Sgt. Slaughter was no good. The Undertaker also had a disappointing clash with Jeff Jarrett.

The only somewhat decent match on the card was The Rock vs. Steve Austin for the Intercontinental title. It was short, but it was quite fun and way better than the rest of the matches. The main event between Shawn Michaels and Ken Shamrock sounded promising, but ended up being just an average forgettable encounter.

1 In Your House 4: Great White North

WWE: King Mabel vs. Yokozuna (In Your House 4: Great White North, 10/22/1995)

The roster of WWE in 1995 was very thin and was mostly carried by Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels. A PPV not involving the two in wrestling matches was always going to be a disaster, and this PPV was nothing short of one. Yokozuna and Mabel had an absolutely awful match.

In the absence of Shawn Michaels, Dean Douglas and Razor Ramon had the responsibility of stepping up, but the two failed to produce a memorable clash. The main event saw Diesel defend his WWE title against The British Bulldog in a very lame encounter with a bad DQ finish.
