One of the main event matches for WrestleMania 38 has been announced for the first night of the show.

On Thursday, WWE announced that the SmackDown Women's Championship match between Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair will take place on day one of WrestleMania 38. The event will be held inside AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas on the Apr. 2-3 weekend.

Rousey had spent nearly three years away from WWE programming before returning at the 30-woman Royal Rumble match. The Baddest Woman on the Planet went on to win the match, and she later announced that Charlotte would be her opponent for "The Show of Shows."

Rousey, Flair and Becky Lynch faced off in the main event of WrestleMania 35, with the winner taking both the Raw and SmackDown Women's Championships. Lynch won the match, albeit in controversial fashion, to become a dual champion.

Universal Champion Roman Reigns and WWE Championship Brock Lesnar will headline WrestleMania together for the third time; the two also headlined WrestleMania 31 and WrestleMania 34. The winner of the match will become the new holder of both the WWE and Universal Championships. Presumably, this match will take place at day two of the show.

The other confirmed matches for WrestleMania 38 are Bianca Belair vs. Becky Lynch for the Raw Women's Championship and Dominik and Rey Mysterio vs. The Miz and YouTube star Jake Paul in a tag team bout. On this week's episode of Raw, Hall of Famer Edge revealed that he will also be at WrestleMania, though an opponent has yet to be announced.

WrestleMania Matches

Nothing has been confirmed, but it has been widely reported that Hall of Famer 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin will return for a match against former Universal Champion Kevin Owens. Austin's last WWE match took place at WrestleMania 19 in 2003, where he lost to The Rock. It has also been suggested that Drew McIntyre will face Happy Corbin at The Show of Shows.
