There are many wrestlers appearing on the NXT UK show to check out because they have much potential and are talented enough both in the ring and as personalities to draw the fans' attention to their work. The show's name is appropriate for this roster, they are the future and there are a number of names you should know from the show.

10 Charlie Dempsey

The real-life son of former WWE wrestler and NXT General Manager William Regal, Charlie Dempsey has a presence to him that grabs the viewer when he makes his entrance. He usually has a scowl on his face, which makes sense since he is a heel, and he wrestles a vicious style to boot.

His finishing move, a submission hold where he folds his opponent up similar to a pretzel, looks as if it really hurts and adds to his persona very well. His style is very submission-based, and he is very agile for his size. He has a star quality to him, something he will be keen to develop.

9 Eddie Dennis

Eddie Dennis is menacing and very well-spoken. He manages more than he wrestles right now, but when he used to wrestle more often on NXT UK, he had many good matches. He took some time off to recover from injuries, which is likely why he is managing more these days.

He has a truly unique promo style - he sounds raspy and sinister, in kayfabe. He manages a team called Symbiosis right now and talks for them, with his promos enhancing their gimmick to a great degree.

8 Ilja Dragunov

The NXT UK Champion right now, Ilja is a very effective storyteller in the ring. He bellows at each move he takes, whether it is a knife-edge chop, scoop slam, or any other move. He sells as if each match might be his last, which gets himself and his opponent over more than it normally would.

His promos are well-done too, he talks well and has an intense pitch to gets fans excited about his matches. He has defended the NXT UK Championship several times, with most of those matches being good to great.

7 Jordan Devlin

Devlin is smaller, on the Cruiserweight level, but his persona makes up for that. He is justifiably cocky and portrays a good heel. He was trained by Finn Balor and wrestled Balor a few years ago on an NXT UK: TakeOver show. Though he did the favors for Finn that night, Devlin showed his potential.

The former NXT Cruiserweight Champion has made great progress since then, having standout matches the majority of the time and being one of the highlights of NXT UK.

6 Moustache Mountain

Trent Seven and Tyler Bate wrestle together as Moustache Mountain and are the NXT UK Tag Team Champions right now. Seven is older than Bate and has more experience, but Bate is very talented for his age, so they make for a great tandem.

Bate and Seven's in-ring chemistry as a team is on display in each match, with Seven often being the babyface in peril and making the hot tag to Bate to turn the match around. Moustache Mountain is now a staple of NXT UK's tag team division, and are greatly respected for their efforts.

5 Pretty Deadly

Sam Stoker and Lewis Howley wrestle together in the team known for their flashy ring gear and over-the-top personas. This is an example of wrestlers having more attention-grabbing gimmicks than in-ring work, but Pretty Deadly is interesting enough anyway.

Their promos entertain due to their arrogance as heels and their entrance is fitting for their gimmick as well. Executed correctly, Pretty Deadly could become a staple of the tag team division to raise their star even higher.

4 Joe Coffey

Joe Coffey is charismatic in a very mean and aggressive way. He has a thick Scottish accent that shows in his promos, but he is articulate to the point that the accent is no issue for any viewer. He has been in the main events for NXT UK during the show's earlier years, but that was short-lived and Coffey is more featured as a tag team and midcard wrestler.

He is good in the ring, more of a brawler than technician, and he is agile for his size as well. He, his brother Mark and Wolfgang make up the trio known as Gallus, but Joe is the center of that trio because of his personality.

3 Kenny Williams

Kenny Williams was in a midcard team for a while with fellow midcarder Amir Jordan. However, Williams turned heel on Jordan due to continued jobbing out and not being able to win often enough. Since that heel turn, Williams has shown a great heel persona in both his promos and ring work.

Williams talks as if he knows himself to be an arrogant heel who will win however necessary, which he then does in the most cowardly way possible.

2 Flash Morgan Webster

flash-morgan-webster

Flash Morgan Webster is best known for his entertaining ring gear - a motorcycle helmet with sunglasses, and a jacket with his moniker on it. He teams with Mark Andrews and Dani Luna as SubCulture, and on top of his charismatic gimmick, he can impress in the ring too.

He sells well, bumps well, and can take a good beating. He makes his opponents look more dominant, and when he is on offense, he is quick on his feet.

1 Sam Gradwell

sam-gradwell-nxt-uk

For the majority of Sam Gradwell's time on NXT UK, he has worked heel with a persona centered around an attitude and complaining about his lack of screen time. This gimmick has saved his career there, which is good because he is an effective brawler who can rile up the crowd with his promo style as a heel.

He has begun a babyface turn recently, having his mohawk shaved off by his current rival, so time will tell if Gradwell will be as good of a face as he was a heel.
