The Rated-R Superstar was a headline Hall Of Fame talent for a reason because hs was an amazing wrestler. Edge's career might have ended prematurely, but he carved out quite the legacy for himself.

Edge had the ability to be a loveable babyface or a dastardly heel and could always get a storyline over in a given match. That is why his matches were always so exciting to watch.

Edge was well known for his excellent character work, but within this list, we will be focusing on what happened from bell-to-bell, ranking Edge's greatest matches.

10 Money In The Bank Ladder Match (WrestleMania 21)

Money in the Bank matches tend to be tons of fun and because this was the first-ever one and people didn't know what to expect it was even better. The match was star-studded, to say the least, and everyone went all out to make it memorable.

Of course, this moment ended up being Edge's though as he claimed the briefcase and went on to cash it in down the road. This was a turning point in his career and while this took him to the main event scene, the match itself was just as impressive.

9 Elimination Chamber Match (Elimination Chamber, 2011)

Elimination Chamber's can be brutal gauntlets and this one was certainly no exception. With a loaded match featuring Edge, Kane, Rey Mysterio, Big Show, Wade Barrett, and Drew McIntyre, it was Edge who left victorious.

The Rated-R Superstar managed to get rid of the Big Red Monster and things ended up being between him and Mysterio, which is where this match came alive.

The two men picked up the pace massively to signal the end of such a brutal bout. They managed to fix in plenty of near falls, but in the end, a Spear off a springboard attempt saw Edge get the job done.

8 Edge vs Mick Foley (WrestleMania 22)

Every upcoming main event talent can benefit from working with a legendary name like Mick Foley on their way to the main event scene. Edge benefitted so much from his storyline against the Hardcore Legend and this match was the pinnacle of that.

Battling Foley at his own game in a hardcore match on the Grandest Stage Of Them All, Edge proved he was willing to step up and put his body on the line.

The two men put on a true hardcore match that was very violent by the WWE's standards, with Edge clearly looking to prove himself. Ending with a Spear through a flaming table, they also ensured they went out in style.

7 Edge vs Ric Flair (Raw, 2006)

Edge and TLC matches always tend to lead to incredibly high quality and this match didn't end that streak. It might have been later on in Ric Flair's career, but that didn't stop the Nature Boy going all out here either.

Giving Flair a WWE Championship match isn't something that people expected to see, and it created quite an emotional match. Flair tried his best to get the job done and he did actually come closer than most people expected.

Of course, Edge managed to retain, but this was a fantastic match that showed how good things can be if you're given plenty of time on Monday Night Raw.

6 Edge vs Randy Orton (Raw, 2007)

Edge and Randy Orton worked as a fantastic team at times, but they were even better as rivals, as their 2007 rivalry proved. The two men battled in an amazing singles match on Monday Night Raw and really shone.

This was the time that both men were starting to really take over WWE as top tier talents, and having them compete against each other saw them both really prove themselves.

Another of his greatest matches taking place on Raw just proves how talented Edge really was, consistently being able to make the most of the time he was given.

5 Edge vs Matt Hardy (Unforgiven 2005)

The rivalry between Edge and Matt Hardy was an incredibly special one. It was one that the WWE Universe was totally invested in due to the fact that the rivalry was a legitimate one.

Matt was the sympathetic babyface who had been cheated on by Lita with one of his best friends and the entire wrestling world knew about it. The fans pushed for Matt to be re-hired by WWE and because of that this storyline instantly heated up.

The two men worked incredibly professionally despite their personal issues, with Hardy flying down from the top of the cage to hit a huge leg drop. It was an amazing match where their personal issues were clear, but they made it work to their advantage.

4 Edge vs Eddie Guerrero (SmackDown, 2002)

It may have taken place on a random episode of SmackDown, but that doesn't mean that it wasn't a superb match. Edge taking on Eddie Guerrero was always going to create something special and the two men certainly made the most of their time in the ring.

This particular match was a ladder match, and they certainly made the most of the stipulation. Using some truly creative ideas to make the match unique, they made this a very thrilling match.

Both Edge and Eddie were two of the very best from their era and therefore it wasn't a big surprise to see them steal the show like this.

3 Edge vs The Undertaker (WrestleMania 24)

The Undertaker's WrestleMania streak is absolutely packed with some fantastic wrestling matches and one of those happens to be against Edge. The Rated-R Superstar was the top heel in WWE at the time and was given the honor at WrestleMania 24.

Edge didn't let himself down either as he pulled out one of the greatest matches from Undertaker's legendary run. Pushing the Deadman all the way, the two of them put on a fantastic bout.

As with any great Undertaker 'Mania match, it really was back and forth stuff with Edge getting some fantastic near falls. Both men were at the peaks of their career in this match and it showed as they created a classic.

2 Hardy Boyz vs Dudley Boyz vs Edge & Christian (WrestleMania X-Seven)

Edge may have been the only one out of this group who really broke out as a singles star, but nobody will ever forget his tag team run alongside Christian. As one of the greatest teams in wrestling history, their rivalry with the Hardys and Dudleys is an epic one.

When it comes to his tag team match there's one match that springs to everyone's mind, of course. That is the epic match at WrestleMania X-Seven where all three teams competed in an amazing TLC match.

The bout was so good that it is constantly talked about, with no TLC match every coming anywhere near this level. It is the greatest of all time, and will likely remain that way for the foreseeable future.

1 Edge vs John Cena (Unforgiven, 2006)

Throughout Edge's career, his greatest rival was John Cena. The two men went back and forth for WWE's top prize countless times and really brought the best out of each other throughout.

For all the people who complain that Cena cannot wrestle, he often finds himself high on lists like this, because he is actually very talented. This Unforgiven match was the best of the bunch as they really took things to new heights.

Competing in a TLC match, a stipulation that normally favors Edge, it was actually Cena who ended up earning the victory. However, the Rated-R Superstar looked just as good in defeat.
