Wrestling managers throughout history has been a job that has been seemingly filled at greater numbers by men over women. Despite the disproportion in gender within this job, many women have become important parts of multiple wrestling careers. Female wrestling names like Sunny, Terri Runnells, Miss Elizabeth, and Sensational Sherri are often whispered in the same breath as their male counterparts and have influenced matches and careers at the same level as men.

When reflecting on female managers that have worked various promotions, it is impossible to not consider well-known women who would have added to the neverending story that is professional wrestling, given the opportunity. Here are ten famous females that would've made great wrestling managers.

10 Oprah Winfrey

It doesn't matter how tough a person is, they are just not going to mess with Oprah. Arguably the most influential woman in the world, it would be easy to imagine her getting the wrestlers in her stable the matches that they want and putting them in positions to win championships on their way to becoming some of the greatest. In addition to her influence within the promotion, Oprah is known for being an individual that can get others to visualize success. This would be invaluable to a wrestler's career. The crowd would love her too, as I'm sure valuable prizes under seats would become commonplace.

9 Serena Williams

Serena is a winner. She has 23 Grand Slam individual tennis championships to her name, and even at 38, she probably isn't done adding to that number. Factor in her mixed doubles and women's doubles championships and there can be no doubt that she is a bonafide athletic conqueror. Putting her in charge of wrestlers could only breed success and there might not be a physically tougher woman around. If there is any doubt, Serena won the 2017 Australian Open while she was pregnant and didn't drop a set all tournament.

8 Nancy Pelosi

Not a physically imposing force by any means, Nancy Pelosi may not be everyone's favorite American politician. Putting personal bias aside, it would be difficult to contend that she isn't a strong-willed and focused person that has rarely backed down from a challenge. Currently second in line to succeed the President of the United States as Speaker of the House, she seems to have an uncanny knack of getting under her political opponent's skin.

Envision her leading up to a major match for her wrestler, chipping away at the opponent's psyche through promo after promo. Also, if she can navigate the rules of the U.S. House of Representatives, she can certainly find loopholes in WWE's rulebook to gain an advantage.

7 Yoko Ono

Yoko gets a lot of heat from Beatles fans for being the biggest factor in the greatest band in history's untimely breakup. True Beatles fans know there was more too it, but her presence had a major role at the end of "Beatlemania." Through it all, she never missed a step. There was something she possessed that made it easier for John to leave the group, so imagine her working her way into a stable and picking the best for her very own. Yoko probably could have gotten Ric Flair to leave The Four Horsemen and Bret "The Hitman" Hart to leave The Hart Foundation. Tag teams would be destroyed and individual championship runs would be born. All Yoko would have to do is what she did best, "pull a Yoko."

6 Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez

Again, with the willingness to put political beliefs aside, AOC's meteoric ascent to national prominence as a politician is astonishing and is legitimately unmatched in recent history. A young and promising wrestler, who may be less than interested in paying their dues, would be drawn to AOC's blueprint for quick success and major recognition. Ever the outspoken individual, Alexandria would be willing to challenge the established leadership of any promotion and would not mind in the slightest to ruffle some feathers along the way. Her piercing glare alone would be an asset to her wrestlers.

5 Hope Solo

Arguably the greatest soccer goalie in USWNT history, Hope Solo has a long list of honors and championships to her name. Hope is also a physically powerful person, an opinionated and outspoken woman, and the kind of person that is not above stirring the pot and causing some controversy. All these qualities would have served her well if she would have chosen wrestler management as her career path.

It also is not hard to conceive Solo getting physically involved on her wrestler's behalf in some way during a match, and then playing the part of the victim in the whole ordeal.

4 Simone Biles

Simone Biles, who was part of the "Final Five" at the 2016 Summer Olympics, is considered by most to be the greatest female gymnast ever. Although small in stature (she is only 4'8), Biles is a human dynamo that performs physical feats with her body that are mind-bending. One would think she could outdo the best luchadors in wrestling history with in-ring stunts if given the opportunity during a match she was managing, and Simone has a charismatic personality that would appeal to many wrestlers of today. Winning breeds winning, and Biles has her four gold medals from the 2016 Rio de Janerio Summer Olympic Games that would entice wrestlers to her stable.

3 Leslie Jones

This comedian/actor/writer would have unprecedented mic skills for a female manager and has some bonified athletic abilities too (college basketball player) that would serve her well in a wrestling career. Jones has also spent a large part of her career in the public eye showing she is more than willing to stand up to ridicule with strength and persistence, and seemingly is confident in hostile situations, all without compromising herself. It isn't difficult to imagine her pushing the right buttons (or wrong buttons for that matter) to get what she would want for her wrestlers in and out of the ring.

2 Madonna

Madonna makes this list purely on her ability to reinvent herself over and over for four decades, remaining relevant and viable. That skill would be invaluable to a long and prosperous managing career in wrestling, but it would be a draw to wrestlers that perhaps haven't found their knack within the industry.

Allowing Madonna to shape her wrestlers into what she sees as the best path to success should bring very little argument, and if it did, perhaps she could bring back her fake English accent to provide more credence to her vision.

1 Melissa McCarthy

Melissa McCarthy has made a living out of playing abrasive, outspoken and sometimes repugnant characters in the movies that have made her millions of dollars during her acting career. Those three traits should be at the top of any wrestling manager's description, especially those that cater to the heel side of the promotion they are involved in. McCarthy was also blessed with a voice that is so shrill it could be heard in the cheap seats of any arena and is sure to throw off the opponent of her wrestler. At some point, it surely would cause the opponent's attention and ferocity to turn to her, gaining an upper hand for her corner. She also seems like the type of person that could take a bump, perhaps even a trip through a table from time to time.
