It's hard to watch a sport like professional wrestling and consider that those men and women behind the masks are anything but athletic Gods, full of confidence as they rule the ring. They piledrive, chokehold and brain-blast their opponents in their flamboyant costumes as fans watch on, mesmerized by their finesse, backstories, and showstopping moves. The hard truth is these professional wrestlers are just like us in many ways. They struggle, they suffer, and they fight their demons like everyone else.

He played in college and headed off to the Canadian Football League where he got cut. Johnson was beyond devastated and slipped into a deep well of depression.
