There was once a time when the women of WWE were referred to as sexy, smart, and powerful. This was the slogan of WWE Divas and it was assumed that if a wrestler didn't have the right look, regardless of their wrestling ability, then WWE wouldn't sign them.

This was back when WWE decided it was a good idea to have a regular Diva Search to help find new women for their rosters because it was easier to train women who were attractive than employ the ones on the circuit who didn't match what WWE wanted.

Thankfully times have changed in WWE. They have decided to bring in their own women and train them up to be some of the best female wrestlers in the world. The Four Horsewomen of NXT have become huge stars on WWE main roster since the WWE Draft and are said to have incredibly bright futures ahead of them.

Even though times have changed for the women, they are still some of the most attractive female athletes in the world and because they spend so much time working on the road with WWE, many women decide to date where they work. This means that some of the strangest relationships are formed in WWE and as the following list will show, many of the women are way too attractive for the man they have decided to settle down with.

15 15. Eva Marie

Eva Marie may well be one of the most hated female stars in WWE history. This of course stemming from her lack of in-ring ability and the perception that she was hired due to her looks. But there is no real denying that she was signed to WWE because she is absolutely stunning.

Along with JoJo Offerman, Eva Marie won the 2013 Diva Search and landed a role on Total Divas. Since then she has become a household name and married Jonathan Coyle in 2014. Her husband has become a recurring character on Total Divas along with her but she is obviously so far out of his league. Even Eva Marie's parents were against the union when they found out. He is a very lucky boy to have not only dated her but married her as well.

14 14. Renee Young

Renee Young is not only a beautiful member of WWE's broadcast team, but she may well be one of the smartest women currently employed by the company. While Renee doesn't actually know how to wrestle, she does know everything there is to know about being a female broadcast journalist, which is a pretty hard job itself.

She has been dating former WWE World Champion Dean Ambrose for the past few years and he himself has stated many times that he doesn't know how he got so lucky (we have no choice but to wonder the same thing, Dean.) Ambrose looks unkempt at the best of times and the fact that Renee has managed to tame him is an achievement on both his and her behalf.

13 13. Paige

Paige was the youngest ever Divas Champion and the first ever NXT Women's Champion. She is considered to be one of the best female British Wrestlers of this generation and despite all of the issues she has had this year, she could still return to WWE and have a lengthy career left ahead of her.

Paige and Alberto Del Rio went public with their relationship back in May. Paige has dated many musicians in the past few years and Del Rio himself is still married, even though he accepted Paige's proposal and the duo are now technically engaged. Paige is obviously too good for Del Rio and her family has already spoken out about the fact that they will never support the union of their daughter and the former World Champion.

12 12. Becky Lynch

The former SmackDown Women's Champion, The Irish Lass Kicker herself has been burning the SmackDown Women's Division to the ground over the past few months with her Straight Fire. That was until she met Alexa Bliss at TLC this past weekend (we will discuss more about Alexa Bliss later on during this list).

Becky Lynch may be a superstar athlete in the WWE world, but her boyfriend Luke 'Cool Hand' Saunders is in his own league in the UFC. The MMA fighter has been dating the Irish Superstar for the past few months, but let's be honest, Becky Lynch is an absolute knockout and Luke just looks like he's been knocked out a few too many times. But at least they found each other, at least for the time being.

11 11. Maryse

There was a time in WWE when Maryse was the longest reigning Divas Champion. This was before AJ Lee and Nikki Bella took the title away and began their own lengthy reigns. Not only was she impressive as a female wrestler, but she also made a career out of being a model and always manages to look absolutely stunning.

It was a shock to most of the WWE Universe when it was announced that The Miz and Maryse were dating, and then they got married! It's a shock that they are still together as well. Maryse is one of the most attractive female wrestlers in WWE history, and The Miz must thank his lucky stars every day that he managed to land someone like Maryse.

10 10. Stephanie McMahon

'The Billion Dollar Princess' is perhaps one of the most powerful females in Sports Entertainment. She is definitely the most powerful in WWE and she decided to marry a WWE wrestler as well.

Stephanie and Triple H were forbidden from seeing each other when her father Vince McMahon found out because he obviously thought that his daughter was too good for Triple H. More than two decades later it seems that Triple H has managed to make a decent living out of being much more creative outside of the ring. Stephanie is still as beautiful as she always was, and it is still unknown how Triple H convinced her to marry him. Of course, this is one couple that is built to last so good on Triple H.

9 9. Natalya

'The Queen of Harts' and one of the most technically gifted female wrestlers in WWE has perhaps been booked the worst way she possibly could have in WWE over the past few years (remember how WWE once used Natie as a flatulent Diva? Or the time they paired her with The Great Khali?).

Natalya could have been one of the greatest talents in WWE and the company have managed to ruin her. Instead, along with her husband Tyson Kidd, Nattie has become a well-known face on Total Divas where it has been made obvious how much better than him she really is. Tyson was seen taking more notice off WWE TV than his wife in the first few seasons, even when she wasn't working  a lot.

8 8. Naomi

The former dancer and one of the most athletic female wrestlers in WWE, Naomi married one-half of the former WWE Tag Team Champions, Jimmy Uso back in 2014 and in turn became the step-mother to his two children.

Naomi may always be overlooked by WWE, but there is no doubting her wrestling and dancing talent. And despite the fact that Jimmy is always there for her and pushes her forward when she has confidence issues, it's obvious that he is so far out of his league (on Total Divas, Jimmy has also displayed jealousy. Of course, that could be all part of the storyline). Naomi is like a first place prize and poor, little Jimmy has no idea what to do with such a reward.

7 7. Nikki Bella

The longest reigning Divas Champion in WWE history and perhaps one of the best known WWE Divas of all time, Nikki Bella has definitely made a name for herself by working hard and staying fearless over the past few years.

She has also been dating John Cena since 2012 and the couple have become the faces of both Total Divas and Total Bellas. That being said, the series have just picked up on how badly John treats Nikki. Obviously, he loves her but he refuses to marry her or give her the children that she wants. John continues to string her along when he could just set her free and allow her to be happy with someone else if he is truly uninterested in giving her the life she really wants ta have.

6 6. Sasha Banks

Sasha Banks has arrived in WWE with a bang after making a name for herself in NXT where she made history with Bayley in the first ever female Ironman match. She has since been promoted to the main roster and has entered a feud with Charlotte that has seen her main event Raw twice and play a huge role in the first ever female Hell in a Cell match.

Sasha also recently announced that she has married WWE costume designer Sarath Ton. Sarath is also a wrestler himself but he doesn't seem to be on the same level as 'The Boss.' Sasha is in another universe compared to her husband, which goes to show that some wrestlers really are different outside of the ring and in the real world.

5 5. Bayley

'The Huggable One,' Bayley was the last of The Four Horsewomen to be called up to the main roster, but she is a crowd favourite and big things are expected of the former NXT Women's Champion.

Recently Bayley announced her engagement to fellow wrestler, Aaron Solow. The couple have been together for the past few years and Aaron himself auditioned for last year's Network exclusive Tough Enough show. He probably wasn't chosen because he name dropped his girlfriend throughout his video (you can't name drop and expect the company to take you on board) but he deserves much better! At least for his wrestling career. In terms of his personal life, Bayley (who is definitely hot in her own right) seems out of his league.

4 4. Carmella

'The Fabulous One' has become a star on SmackDown over the past few months and has really proven herself since WWE decided to split up the team of Carmella, Enzo and Cass, after their brief run in NXT.

Big Cass and Carmella have been dating for the past few years and it seems that as a couple they really do click. Cass is a monster of a man and Carmella is actually quite short so it is something of an odd pairing. Carmella is also so much more attractive than Enzo's sidekick, but it seems that the heart must want what the heart wants. Cass isn't a great talker like his girlfriend and actually comes off as quite a shy person, which must be the reason why Carmella is the one who wears the trousers in their relationship.

3 3. Emmalina

The former NXT Superstar has come through the ranks in WWE over the past few years and it seems that is where she met her boyfriend Zack Ryder. Zack has been in WWE now for a very long time and despite this, he was still sent back down to NXT last year.

Emma and Zack were in NXT together and have been dating for a while now, even though they are an odd pairing. They like to keep their relationship mostly private, but it seems that the duo have a similar sense of humour, even if they aren't on the same level when it comes to looks. Emma is set to re-debut with a new gimmick in the coming weeks and this seems to be showing just how incredibly lucky Zack Ryder is.

2 2. Alexa Bliss

The current SmackDown Women's Champion has become a stand-out performer on the Blue Brand over the past few weeks and rightfully won the Women's Championship this past weekend at TLC. Alexa has been cosplaying as Harley Quinn over the past few months and this has gained her a lot of male attention.

Sadly for the male demographic, Alexa is still dating Buddy Murphy, whom she was partnered with during her days in NXT with the Blake and Murphy tag team. The couple still seems happy together even though Murphy is still down in NXT, but it could rightfully be stated that Murphy is definitely punching well above his weight here. Alexa is definitely the dream girl for many of the WWE Universe. Alexa is going to be one to watch in the coming years.

The former dancer, actress, and singer has become one of the best talkers in WWE over the past few years and have always been partnered with Rusev. The couple began dating when they were partnered together in NXT and then decided to marry a few months ago, even though Lana was paired with someone else in WWE and it technically ruined an entire storyline from moving forward.

Lana was only partnered with Dolph Ziggler because Vince McMahon thought Lana was way too good for Rusev and he hoped that splitting them up on TV would follow through into real life. His plan failed and the duo became engaged despite this. The would then face punishment from the boss because he obviously wasn't impressed that his plan had actually backfired.
