Intergender wrestling is something that rarely happens on major promotions, but audiences always enjoy seeing it when booked correctly. This is far easier in the tag team division, where wrestlers can come in and out and work well together. Both WWE and AEW have started doing this a little more, and it has gained a great reception.
Right now, there are a lot of genuine teams that could work legitimately and be taken seriously. Whether it's down to their connection in their private lives, or because their characters work together perfectly, some of them should take place in the future, which could add to the wrestling world.
10 Adam Cole & Britt Baker
Adam Cole and Britt Baker are an obvious intergender tag team that could become a legitimate duo. They are a real-life couple, and that is something that fans are aware of. They have already been showcased together, with Tony Khan clearly seeing the potential in them as on-screen characters.
They both work the arrogant characters and considering how talented they are inside the ring, fans would happily buy into their matches. They're a team that audiences are actively wanting to see, and because of that, AEW should tap into it and make things happen.
9 Ricochet & Naomi
While a lot of people would likely pair Naomi with her husband, Jimmy Uso, that isn't the only intergender team that would work for her. She is one of the most athletic wrestlers in WWE, and because of that, it would be great to see her teamed up with Ricochet, who brings just as much athletic ability.
The two of them would be able to bring some amazing double-team moves, and seeing them try to outdo each other would be an interesting option. Going against what people expect to happen is also a good thing, and that is what this duo would provide.
8 Montez Ford & Bianca Belair
While the real-life relationship between Bianca Belair and Montez Ford is an obvious reason for them being a team, it isn't the only one. A big factor for them being together is the fact that they are both so athletic, powerful, and fast. Inside the ring, they bring tons of energy, and that would come together excellently in tag teamwork.
They would feed off of each other, which is an exciting prospect. People want to see the two of them together, and giving Montez a greater spotlight would not be a bad thing at all. Their chemistry is obvious, and because of that, it would be great to see.
7 Randy Orton & Charlotte Flair
Randy Orton and Charlotte Flair are two wrestlers that come together perfectly simply down to their prestige. They are two of the most successful talents of the current generation, with both of them having put together incredible careers that are littered with championship runs.
Considering the domination that they have had throughout their careers, putting them together is something that could make sense and would be interesting to see. Seeing them continue to stay in control of the business by working together would be unique.
6 Jon Moxley & Ruby Soho
Two wrestlers who fly to the beat of their own drum, they are happy to brawl, and can work as heels or babyfaces. That makes them obvious choices to be a legitimate tag team that audiences could easily buy into. The two of them bring rock and roll personalities, and that would work out well for them.
Fans would certainly get behind this duo, simply because of how popular they are in their own right. But bringing them together would potentially only intensify that, which is why it is something that Tony Khan should consider.
5 Juice Robinson & Toni Storm
Some fans may not be aware of the fact that Juice Robinson and Toni Storm are a legitimate couple. However, that is why they would make a great tag team. The two of them bring tons of charisma and flair to the ring with them, and that's something that a company should tap into.
With Storm no longer part of WWE, this is something that could end up taking place, potentially within Impact Wrestling. People enjoy seeing two wrestlers with huge personalities, and that is why they would work together as a team.
4 Johnny Gargano & Candice LeRae
Johnny Gargano and Candice LeRae are one of the most popular couples within wrestling, and they are well-known for wrestling together, and against each other over the years. Because of that, they make a lot of sense to be a legitimate tag team, and fans would enjoy them being a team.
Right now, Gargano's contract status is up in the air, therefore it is unknown if they will be working for the same company after Candice gives birth. However, if it was possible to bring them together, then it is a situation that should happen.
3 The Hurricane & Nikki A.S.H.
Superhero gimmicks aren't ones that are often seen within the wrestling world. Because of the fact Nikki A.S.H. is on the roster right now, it would be a great time to tap into that with a pairing alongside The Hurricane. This could be a fun pairing that doesn't always have to be taken seriously, which is what wrestling is all about.
The two of them would no doubt bring a lot of comedy to a possible pairing, and WWE could easily push the superhero elements of things to the extreme. It's obviously over the top, but that is when wrestling is at its absolute best.
2 Finn Balor & Becky Lynch
WWE attempted to push Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins as a pair, but it is something that audiences rejected heavily. However, putting her alongside Finn Balor could provide a different approach. The two of them have a lot of history together, with Balor being the person that trained The Man.
Playing into that history is something that could end up working out perfectly, especially since they have technical styles inside the ring. Tapping into that would create genuine intrigue, and that is why WWE should consider making this a legitimate team.
1 Matt Cardona & Chelsea Green
This pair is a real-life couple, and they have already done some tag team work within Impact Wrestling. Fans have gravitated towards it because there's a true connection, and that's something that few teams are able to have. Their gimmicks work perfectly together, and it should be tapped into even more.
They both have unique gimmicks, and making them a regular team would have been fun to see. They are each great workers, and that is something that would make their matches entertaining. With both of them always committing 100% to everything they do, it could create something special.
