Throughout the history of the WWE, there have been dozens of beautiful women employed by the McMahon family. Some have been wrestlers, some valets, and some have held microphones as interviewers or ring announcers, but no matter what their duties were, they were beautiful, one more beautiful than the rest.
The women came to WWE through a variety of means, but one method that has produced a lot of female WWE talent is the WWE Diva Search. Many Diva Search contestants, both winners and runners-up, have been offered contracts and have found success with WWE while others have moved on to other ventures.
The Diva Search was conceived by WWE to help locate new female talent for the company. Women came to the contests from a variety of different fields, but all with one dream; to become the next great WWE Divas. Determining the best looking women from these contests is probably as difficult as figuring out which AJ Styles match was his best. Everyone will have a different opinion, and none will be wrong.
Nonetheless, this list will offer a perspective on which were the 15 hottest women from the many WWE Diva Search contests, and almost certainly, there will be some differing opinions, but that is what makes a project like this so much fun.
15 Tiffany/Taryn Terrell (2007)
The last televised version of the Diva Search was held in 2007, and Taryn Terrell finished fourth overall in the competition. Fortunately, Terrell was one of the women who were offered a contract with WWE despite not winning the competition. Renamed Tiffany, Terrell began her career as a ring announcer before transitioning into the ring in FCW. Once on the WWE main roster, Terrell became the Assistant General Manager on the ECW brand while also competing in the ring.
Before long, Terrell, or Tiffany, was the General Manager of ECW because Teddy Long, her ECW employer, had moved to SmackDown as the GM. Terrell stayed with WWE until she was suspended and then released due to a situation with her then-husband Drew Galloway. Terrell, under her real name, went to Impact Wrestling and became the longest-reigning TNA Knockouts Champion in history, a record that Taryn has held for nearly three years.
14 Rosa Mendes (2006)
Milena Roucka, a Canadian-born woman of Czech and Costa Rican descent, finished fourth in the 2006 Diva Search. She was offered a contract by WWE, and was given the name Rosa Mendes, in order for the company to play upon her Hispanic looks and Hispanic ancestry. Mendes was introduced to WWE as a Beth Phoenix fan planted in the audience. Once “signed” by WWE, Mendes began making a name for herself as one of the last managers in WWE.
During her time with WWE, Mendes has served as a manager or valet for such talents as Beth Phoenix, Zack Ryder, Tamina Sunka, Primo and Epico, and Fandango. Though Rosa participated in a small number of matches before her retirement from professional wrestling, WWE saw her talents best used as a manager or a valet. Unfortunately for many of the current, less talented, female employees in the company, the company is unwilling to use them the same way.
13 Bobbi Sue Luther (2004)
Bobbi Sue Luther spent two seasons as the host of Junkyard Mega-Wars on the TLC Network, while appearing in Star Trek: Enterprise and Deuce Bigelow: European Gigolo, before being selected to compete in the first televised edition of the WWE Diva Search. From the thousands of women who responded to open casting calls, Luther was one of 28 selected as a semi-finalist. Though Luther failed to make the finals, the extra exposure helped to advance her acting and modeling careers.
Though women like Candice Michelle, were offered WWE contracts without advancing to the Finals of the contest, Bobbi Sue Luther was not so fortunate. However, because she had already put together a considerable acting résumé, Luther was able to seamlessly return to Hollywood. Though she is one of the 15 hottest women from the WWE Diva Search competitions, sadly, WWE fans never got to see her perform in front of a WWE audience.
12 The Bella Twins (2006)
The 2006 WWE Diva Search featured a number of contestants and eight finalists. Many of the finalists were offered contracts with WWE, and many other women who were not finalists were also offered contracts with the company. Though they were not finalists in the Diva Search, two women from that contest have gone on to become the two top women in WWE; Brianna and Stephanie Nicole Garcia-Colace, otherwise known as Brie and Nikki Bella, The Bella Twins.
The twins emerged in a variety of different story lines. On one hand, the girls feuded with other women in the company, while at the same time; they were involved in romantic programs with the Colon brothers and The Miz & John Morrison. The girls continued to gain notoriety within the company to the point where between the two of them they have three Divas Title reigns, including the longest reign in the history of the title for Nikki. Today, Nikki still reigns as the top woman in the company while Brie is preparing for the birth of her first child with husband Bryan Danielson.
11 Amy Weber (2004)
Amy Weber had already put together a considerable list of television credits before she auditioned for the Diva Search. With appearances on Saved by the Bell, Melrose Place, CSI and a number of other shows, Weber’s acting career was in full swing when she was selected as one of the finalists in 2004. Of the ten finalists from the 2004 Diva Search, Weber was one of six women who were offered a contract with WWE.
Weber debuted on SmackDown as the image consultant for JBL’s “Cabinet” while fueding with Joy Giovanni, another 2004 finalist. Shortly after beginning with the company, Weber left WWE, claiming harassment. She was unhappy about the contact jokes that were played on her, so she asked out of her contract. Amy returned to acting and began a singing career that saw her place a song in the Top 10 in the UK. She has also continued to work in television, film and live theater.
10 Jen England (2006)
Jen England was the runner up in the 2006 WWE Diva Search, but prior to auditioning for the Diva Search, England was one of Barker’s Beauties on The Price is Right. England participated in a number of swimwear and modeling competitions, winning more than a few, so participating in the Diva Search was the next logical step. Despite finishing as the runner up to the eventual winner, England was one of the few finalists who were not offered contracts with WWE.
Jen pursued an acting career and scored a few small parts in films. She also continued to accept a few modeling gigs, but she never worked in professional wrestling. The sad reality of Jen England’s appearances in the WWE Diva Search is the fact that she will be remembered for her behavior in the final episode of the 2006 shows. While it would not acceptable today, during the Attitude Era, it was par for the course.
9 Rebecca DiPietro (2006)
Prior to participating in the 2006 Diva Search, Rebecca DiPietro had won a Hawaiian Tropics pageant, and had appeared in such magazines as Maxim and Stuff. She had also been photographed for Playboy, appearing in the 2004 issue that featured Sable and Torrie Wilson on the cover. Rebecca was selected as one of the finalists in 2006, and finished in 6th place, one position ahead of Maryse Ouellet, the wife of The Miz. Rebecca was offered a contract with WWE and made her first appearance one month later.
DiPietro competed in a few WWE bikini contests before becoming the backstage interviewer for the ECW brand. Unfortunately, after a few months, Rebecca asked for and received her release from WWE. Without much actual ring time, Rebecca was gone from the company, and had returned to the world of beauty pageants. While she had very little impact in WWE, on a superficial list that ranks beauties, she definitely belongs.
8 Camille Anderson (2004)
Camille competed in the 2004 Diva Search, was selected as one of the finalists, and finished in 9th place. She finished just ahead of one of the Costello Twins, and just behind the other. In 2004, six of the ten finalists were offered contracts with WWE, but Anderson was one of the four who was not. Fortunately for her, she had already possessed an extensive acting resume prior to the Diva Search, so she returned to television and film after being eliminated.
After the Diva Search, Anderson continued to work in Hollywood, while also appearing in print. She was photographed for a variety of magazines, and was also named one of the 100 Hottest Women in the World by the Australian version of FHM. Today, Camille Anderson runs an agency that sells luxury real estate in Los Angeles. Anderson never worked for WWE, but she was still one of the most beautiful women in the history of the Diva Search.
7 Carmella DeCesare (2004)
Carmella was the runner-up of the 2004 Diva Search, where many of the women on this list are from. During the Attitude Era, WWE was not as interested in wrestling talent, or even microphone skills as it was in beauty, which is why many of the 2004 contestants made this list. Carmella DeCesare definitely fit the bill of what WWE was searching for. Prior to competing in the Diva Search, Carmella had already made several appearances for Playboy, in print and online.
Many of the women in the 2004 Diva Search though that Carmella entered for reasons other than to work for WWE, which created heat among the other women. In a life imitating art storyline, DeCesare feuded with 2004 winner Christy Hemme before losing to Hemme in a Lingerie Pillow Fight. Hemme was released from WWE shortly after the match, but she went on to become the vice-president of the Garcia Pass it On Foundation, which was founded by her husband, former NFL QB Jeff Garcia.
6 Maryse Ouellet (2006)
Maryse Ouellet is now known as Maryse Mizanin, as she is the wife of former WWE Champion Mike Mizanin, known as The Miz. Maryse was one of the 8 finalists in the 2006 contest, but was the second lady eliminated. Fortunately, she was one of the many women from the 2006 contest who was offered a contract with WWE. Maryse progressed quickly through training and up the roster and within a few years, she was the second ever Divas Champion, the first two-time Divas Champion, and for four years, held the record for the longest reign in the history of the title.
Throughout her career, Maryse has alternated between manager and active wrestler. Currently, she accompanies her husband to the ring for his matches and interview segments, as the duo is feuding with John Cena and Nikki Bella over which is the top couple in the company. Maryse is also scheduled to appear alongside her husband in the film The Marine 5: Battleground.
5 Leyla Milani (2005)
Leyla Milani placed second in the 2005 Diva Search, but while unlike in 2004, when a large number of women were offered contracts, only a couple of women were offered contracts from the 2005 competition. Leyla was not offered a contract from the Diva Search, but she was hired to do some promotional work for WWE before making appearances for a number of other wrestling promotions and working as a referee for the 2006 Lingerie Bowl.
Leyla parlayed her appearance on the Diva Search into becoming one of the models on the prime-time game show Deal or No Deal. So popular were Leyla and her other models, that the show won an award for Favorite TV Models, and she was selected to appear on such programs as The Oprah Winfrey Show. Using her popularity from the game show, Leyla started her own hair care line, and several celebrities have become regular users of her products.
4 Jaime Koeppe (2003)
The 2003 Diva Search was not televised. The 2003 Diva Search winner was also not in line for a contract as a WWE talent. The winner of the 2003 Diva Search won a photo shoot in WWE Magazine. The names of the competitors have not been released publicly, but the winner of the 2003 Diva Search was Jaime Koeppe, and since she is beautiful, and competed in a contest referred to as a Diva search, she qualifies for this list, and if you have ever seen her, you would agree.
The photo shoot help Koeppe to advance her modeling career, but she was soon being passed over for jobs under suspicion that she broke too many contracts, and people refusing to work with her. However, Jaime still has quite a large internet presence, as there are still scores of pictures of her available, as well as sites devoted to trying to find out what she is doing currently.
3 Brooke Adams (2006)
Many wrestling fans know of Brooke Adams as Brooke Tessmacher, the three-time TNA Knockouts Champion. Attitude Era fans know of Brooke as the third member (along with Layla and Kelly Kelly) of Extreme Exposé, the dancing girls that appeared in broadcasts of WWE’s ECW reboot. However, before making her name in professional wrestling, Brooke Adams auditioned for the 2006 WWE Diva Search. Unfortunately for Brooke, she was not selected as one of the finalists to appear on the television show, but she was offered a contract nonetheless.
Adams debuted as a valet, but she eventually was given a chance in the ring, losing her debut match to Angel Williams, known to fans as Angelina Love. On WWE, she became a member of Extreme Exposé and competed in a few battle royals before being released. She signed with TNA, and her career as a wrestler took off with her winning the Knockouts Tag Titles, and then the Knockouts Championship on three occasions. Today, Adams is one of the top women wrestlers on Impact Wrestling.
2 Lena Yada (2007)
Lena Yada placed third in the 2007 WWE Diva Search. The 2007 competition did not produce many women who were offered contracts with WWE, but Lena received one, and was hired by the company. A former model and champion surfer, Yada began her WWE career as a backstage interviewer on SmackDown. Yada also spent time as a valet for Layla as, through her role as host of a dance off between Kelly Kelly and Layla, Yada facilitated a breakup of Extreme Exposé.
Lena’s only in-ring appearance in WWE was as part of a 16-women tag team match in which Lena was never tagged into the competition. One week after the match, Lena was released from her WWE contract. Lena trained as a professional wrestler and, six months after being released from WWE, she participated in and won her first singles match. Today, she is a wife and mother, while taking on the occasional modeling gig.
1 Eve Torres (2007)
Eve Torres entered the 2007 Diva Search and outlasted Taryn Terrell, Angela Fong (Black Lotus in Lucha Underground) and others to emerge as the winner of the competition. Unfortunately for Torres, she started work in WWE during the time when women did practically everything on television besides wrestling. Torres participated in bikini contests, arm wrestling contests and dance contests before actually getting the opportunity to wrestle. Through most of her career, Eve shuttled back and forth between valet and wrestler, though she was able to win the Divas Title on three occasions.
After dropping the title for the third time, Torres asked for her release from WWE so that she could concentrate on running a women’s self-defense program in conjunction with the Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Academy. Today, she makes spot appearances, and serves as an ambassador for the company. However, she will always be remembered as the first woman to win the WWE Divas Title on three occasions.
