The world of professional wrestling is a wild one. Whether it be the online debate about which wrestling promotion is the best, backstage drama leaking out into the public eye, wrestlers jumping ship to other companies, or any number of things, the entire sport tends to be on the more unpredictable side. Being the largest promotion in the world, WWE tends to try and run a tight ship when they can, which made it extremely surprising when news came out that WWE Superstar Natalya was being sued by a Pennsylvania native in 2014. Being a member of the WWE roster since 2007, Natalya has seemingly never been involved in a true controversy or scandal, which made the claims that she was moonlighting as a dominatrix and torturing a man that much crazier and hard to believe.

A Prisoner Made Crazy Claims About Natalya

Revealed during the Summer of 2014, news had broken out that WWE Superstar and one of the staples of WWE's Divas Division at the time, Natalya, was being sued by a prisoner in Pennsylvania. Stating that she had worked as a dominatrix, Christopher Donnelly made some of the most insane claims in regard to a contracted WWE talent in history.

In the aforementioned lawsuit, Donnelly would state that Natalya was moonlighting as a dominatrix when not wrestling, and that she had been with him for around four years, beginning in 2004 and lasting until 2009. He would go on to suggest that she would beat him, verbally degrade him by shouting lines such as, "his is my dungeon, you stupid little b*tch" towards him, and even forcing him to engage in extreme intimate acts with her. It goes without saying that such things likely never occurred, as it was pointed out by Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer that since the beginning of her WWE Career, Natalya often traveled with T.J. Wilson and that there was little to no evidence.

The Lawsuit Against Natalya Was Dismissed

While the claims of Natalya working as both a full-time wrestler and dominatrix may have been wildly enticing to some, with many living for gossip on the internet, the fact of the matter is that it likely never happened. In accordance with Meltzer's reporting, with there being all but no evidence to support the crazed claims, Natalya working an extremely busy schedule with WWE, and only traveling with her real-life partner, the chances of this ever being possible were as low as can be.

In turn, the lawsuit was immediately dismissed, with PWInsider recapping the ruling from a Florida judge, and it being stated that "the complaint was filed with delusional language and did not have any standing under Florida law". Natalya would move on with her career following this, serving as a valet for the short-lived tag-team of Cesaro and Tyson Kidd while continuing to wrestle on her own, and would even capture the WWE Smackdown Women's Championship at one point.

WWE And Natalya Would Hint At The Lawsuit On 'Total Divas'

A year after the lawsuit was dismissed, WWE and Natalya would play into the dominatrix lawsuit through the hit reality television series Total Divas. With Natalya being a regular presence on the show, her stock and name had risen from just being a WWE Superstar. As the show was an example of reality television, it should not have come as much of a surprise that WWE and the producers behind the show would play a bit of a joking nature towards the incident, as in 2015 they would make light of the situation to some degree.

In one 2015 episode, Natalya hires a dominatrix in order to "learn some of her moves" for her own intimate relations with her husband, T.J. Wilson, formerly known as Tyson Kidd during his on-screen run in WWE. With Natalya still being fairly promiscuous in her online persona nowadays, regularly posing with her sister Jenni online to promote her OnlyFans page, during her run on Total Divas, Natalya was presented as very sex-positive and experimental when it came to her relationship with Wilson. This introduction of a dominatrix in the series likely was just a bit of a joke towards the crazy lawsuit, though it was fitting with the on-screen characters of Total Divas.
