When wrestlers retire, it's understandable that they might let go of themselves a tad bit. After years of intensive training and exercise, it's not crazy that these former superstars decide to take a load off and just relax. Yet, there are plenty of retired wrestlers that stay in shape and perhaps even look BETTER after leaving the ring than they ever did while in the spotlight. Take Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, for example. The dude is totally built! He was nowhere near as big in his WWE years as he is now. Of course, the movie business probably had a bit to do with The Rock's current shape. He wouldn't be "Franchise Viagra" without his killer body.
The same goes for wrestling's female stars. Remarkably, many of the women who have left the ring go on to start families, but stay in fighting shape afterwards. In TheSportster's list of 15 retired female wrestlers who look better now than before, you'll find several moms, as well as women who have gone on to become fitness gurus or continued on as models. And they all look great! It's like they never left the ring in the first place. Join us as we celebrate these lovely women in the list below:
15 Michelle McCool
Michelle McCool (real name Michelle Leigh Calaway) always looked great in the ring, and she had plenty of big wins to show for it. Michelle won the inaugural Divas Championship at the WWE and then went on to win the Women's Championship, making her the first and only Unified Divas Champion. In total, she won the Women's Championship and the Divas Championship twice each. She was also voted Diva of the Year in 2010. Needless to say, Michelle was badass and hot during her time at WWE.
Not much has changed since, as you can see from the picture above. Michelle still looks great and even had her first child with her husband, The Undertaker, in 2012. Since having her daughter, she looks better than ever.
14 Kelly Kelly
Kelly Kelly (real name Barbara Jean Blank-Souray) made her debut in the WWE at the age of 19, which is remarkably young to become a superstar. But Kelly is remarkable, isn't she? She's a one-time Divas Champion, which also earned her the Divalicious Moment of the Year at the Slammy Awards in 2011. That same year, Pro Wrestling Illustrated ranked her the 15th best female wrestler in the world. Very impressive.
Kelly spent her last few years out of the ring, though. She retired in 2012 after spending a little time in the indie circuit. Kelly's gone on to appear in music videos, act, and even appeared in a reality TV show called WAGS. She's married to former hockey player Sheldon Souray.
13 Ashley Massaro
Ashley Massaro made her WWE debut in the 2005 Diva Search, which she won. That earned her a contract with the promotion and $250,000. Not a bad way to begin your wrestling career. That would be her only major accomplishment, though, as she never won any major titles during her time in the ring. That said, she was notable for her sex appeal and her involvement in several bra and panties matches. One of her biggest matches was the Playboy Bunnymania lumberjill match at WrestleMania XXIV.
This Diva was undoubtedly most popular for her looks. She graced the cover of the April 2007 issue of Playboy and at one point even participated in Survivor: China. Even though she's no longer wrestling, one thing is for sure: Ashley still looks great and it would be an absolute pleasure to have her back in the ring at some point down the line.
12 Trish Stratus
Happy #internationalyogaday! Namaste y'all 🙏🏼 - Did you know this is the pose I based my logo for Stratusphere on? It's king pigeon pose - but my team and I refer to it as champion pose 😏 - 📸 @paulbuceta - 💄@twochicksandsomelipstick . . . . . . . #championpose #kingpigeonpose #yoga #flexible #poseoftheday #stratusphere
Trish Stratus (real name Patricia Anne Stratigeas) needs no introduction. We're talking about the WWE Diva of the Decade for the 2000s. She's a six-time Women's Champion, a one-time Hardcore Champion, and she even won Babe of the Year three years in a row from 2001-2003. Trish was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2013. She's an absolute legend of women's wrestling, and still one of the hottest divas to grace the ring with her presence.
While she's retired now, Trish is still in great shape. She runs a yoga studio in Toronto and has her own website where she gives health and fitness tips to her fans. Trish also has two kids. Retirement and pregnancy have not slowed this diva down at all, though.
11 Stacy Keibler
Stacy Keibler was known as "The Legs of WCW" and "The Legs of WWE" back in her wrestling days, and for a very good reason: her 42 inch killer legs. She's known for being one of the taller female wrestlers at both promotions. Stacy could even get into the ring from the second rope, a feat that's more challenging for the divas than you might think. This wrestling babe made it look easy, though, and even liked to flash the audience as she slowly slipped into the ring.
Stacy never won any championships at either WCW or WWE, but she was voted Babe of the Year in 2004, once Trish Stratus was done hogging the title. After she retired from wrestling in 2006, Stacy dated George Clooney before marrying Future Ads CEO Jared Pobre. They have a daughter together named Ava Grace.
10 1o. Torrie Wilson
Once we learn to accept ppl at the level they decide to operate at, not by the potential we see in them; it saves us a lot of energy..and from being disappointed. No matter how much potential a person has, it means nothing if they have no desire to fulfill it. Health isn't just about working out & eating right. Mind. Body. Spirit. ____________________________________________ #MindBodySpirit #TorrieTuesday #JustARandomThought #ProtectYourHappiness #Acceptance #TorrieWilsonFit #888Limitless
Like Stacy Keibler, Torrie Wilson began her career in wrestling at WCW before making the transition to WWE during the merger. Torrie has always been in great shape. Even before she ever entered the ring, she was already a fitness competitor and model. She participated in several fitness competitions that eventually led her to a career in wrestling. Torrie never won any wrestling titles, as she was best known for her hot body and naughty personality. (In one of her earliest storylines at the WWE, Torrie became Vince McMahon's mistress.) In 2002, Torrie won the Golden Thong Award.
Torrie has gone on to launch her own fitness website and is a guru when it comes to healthy living these days. She was married to Peter Gruner (wrestler Billy Kidman) from 2003 to 2008. Torrie also dated Alex Rodriguez for a few years after that.
9 Amy Weber
Amy Weber only spent a year at the WWE before moving on from wrestling to become an actress, and more recently a realtor. In 2012, she also released an album titled Let It Rain, featuring a single that stayed in the U.S. Billboard Chart for more than a month. It also reached number 6 on the UK Singles Chart. Basically, Amy's spent much more time outside of the ring than in it. That said, she first entered the 2004 Diva Search, where she placed 4th.
She spent her year in wrestling as a villain on SmackDown!, feuding with Joy Giovanni and acting as John "Bradshaw" Layfield's "image consultant." None of that lasted too long because she resigned due to allegations of harassment. It's a shame because she still looks great today and could have had a long, fruitful career in wrestling.
8 Jillian Hall
Just another restroom shot... 🤗 pic.twitter.com/348JBdnVcv— Jillian Hall (@Jillianhall1) December 23, 2016
Jillian Hall began wrestling in 1998 in the independent circuit before making her debut in the WWE in 2005. She's best known for having one of the worst gimmicks ever. She was a "fixer," basically like a PR representative who would help fix wrestlers' images after a particularly embarrassing loss. Jillian helped wrestlers obtain photoshoots for the cover of SmackDown! magazine and she also served as John "Bradshaw" Layfield's "image consultant."
For some reason, she also had this weird growth on her face that was the subject of much speculation. Needless to say, Jillian's character was weird. She did go on to win the Divas Championship once, as well as several titles in the indie circuit. Jillian's only been retired for three years and she's still in fighting shape.
7 Beth Phoenix
Beth Phoenix is as accomplished as they come. She's a three-time Women's Champion and a one-time Divas Champion. She was also the second woman to enter the Royal Rumble, which is no small feat, considering the event has always been dominated by male wrestlers. Beth was also voted Diva of the Year in 2008. Just this year she was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. She is the youngest inductee of all time at the age of 36; and she and her husband, Adam Copeland (better known as Edge), are the first couple to be inducted. Oh, and she's the quickest female to be inducted -- less than five years after her retirement.
Today, Beth is still married to Edge. They have two daughters -- Lyric Rose Copeland and Ruby Ever Copeland. Her recent pictures on Twitter show that she's still in really great shape.
6 AJ Lee
AJ Lee (real name April Jeanette Mendez Brooks) accomplished a lot during her time wrestling for the WWE. She began working for the promotion in Florida Championship Wrestling, one of the WWE's developmental territories. In 2010, she was selected as one of the participants of the all-female third season of NXT. In 2011, AJ made her debut on SmackDown. She won the Divas Championship three times during her stint at the WWE and held the title for a combined 406 days, which is a record. She also won Diva of the Year in 2012 and 2014. Pro Wrestling Illustrated voted her Woman of the Year from 2012 to 2014.
Since retiring, she's published a memoir detailing her life as a wrestler. In 2014, she married Phil Brooks, better known as wrestler CM Punk. AJ is currently an ambassador for the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA).
5 Christy Hemme

Christy Hemme has had a pretty interesting career in the sense that the direction is sort of backwards. She debuted in the WWE after winning the 2004 Diva Search, which earned her a contract in the promotion. Soon after that, she appeared in her first cover and pictorial in Playboy magazine. She never won any titles at the WWE, and she was instead best known for her looks. When she transitioned to TNA, later known as Impact Wrestling, she was voted Knockout of the Year in 2016.
Here's where things get interesting: after spending some time wrestling, she decided to transition into a job as a backstage interviewer and later a ring announcer. From our experience, it usually works the other way around. Today, Christy is married and has a baby girl named Charlie Rose. She still looks great!
4 Candice Michelle
Candice Michelle (full name Candice Michelle Beckman Ehrlich) started her career as a model, winning her first beauty competition at the age of 16. By the time she entered the WWE, Candice had already appeared in FLEX, Lowrider, and Playboy magazines. She was a contestant in the 2004 Diva Search before making her way to the ring. Candice debuted under the gimmick of a makeup artist before joining the Vince's Devils stable. (At one point, she had a storyline as Vince McMahon's sex slave...)
Candice won the Women's Championship once and was voted 10th best female wrestler in the world by Pro Wrestling Illustrated in 2008. The magazine also named her Woman of the Year in 2007. Today, Candice is married to an LA chiropractor named Ken Gee Ehrlich. They have three daughters: AkiAnne Rose, Ryumi Grace, and Aloha Von.
3 Eve Torres
Eve Torres is another Diva Search participant. She won the 2007 competition and earned a contract with the WWE. Eve debuted as a backstage interviewer and also participated in several bikini contests before ever stepping foot in the ring. She began wrestling in 2009 and had feuds with Michelle McCool, Layla, and Natalya. Eve is the first wrestler to win the Divas Championship three times. She was also voted the 5th greatest female wrestler of 2010 by Pro Wrestling Illustrated.
Eve has a purple belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and retired from the WWE in 2012 to become an instructor in the Gracie Women Empowered Self-defense program. She's married to Rener Gracie, who also practices Jiu-Jitsu. They have a daughter named Raeven.
2 Brie Bella
Loving the way I feel and look with #310Shake 💪🏽😍 It's much more than just a weight loss, @310nutrition is also the perfect after workout source of protein and vitamins! Gotta get that pre pregnancy bod back!! 😝 They have an awesome sale going on plus you can get a free shipping by using "310appetite" at checkout. #fitness #afterbabybody #ad
Brie Bella (real name Brianna Monique Danielson) is a very interesting wrestler, primarily because she has a twin, Nikki Bella, who also wrestles in the WWE. In fact, they've been a tag team in the promotion. You don't see that every day! And because the WWE couldn't help itself, at one point these twins feuded and have several fights in the ring and backstage. During her time at WWE, she held the Divas Championship once and was voted Diva of the Year in 2013. She shared the award with her twin sister.
Brie isn't technically retired, but she is taking a long-term break from wrestling in the ring. Currently, she's working as an ambassador for the WWE. She cited family reasons for her exit from wrestling.
Lita (real name Amy Christine Dumas) is a wrestling legend. She is by far one of the WWE's most well-known Divas, perhaps only rivaled by Trish Stratus. In fact, she is best known for her epic matches with Trish. They were both the first women to compete in a main event on Raw. Lita is also known for her time as the Hardy Boyz's manager. Pro Wrestling Illustrated voted her Woman of the Year in 2001.
She retired from the ring in 2006 and started a punk rock band called The Luchagors. The band released their self-titled first album a year later. She also dated fellow band member Shawn Morton from 2006 to 2008, and CM Punk from 2009 to 2013. Lita is also still very hot.
