15 Women Whose Instagram Accounts Are More Exciting Than Their Wrestling Careers

Over the past few years, WWE has learned to use social media to their advantage. The company knows that 90% of the world now have internet in their homes and they can easily advertise on their for free using their Superstar's pages.

Not only does every WWE star have a Twitter account now, but it seems that they have all made the switch over to Instagram as well. Which means that the WWE Universe have never been closer to their favourite stars and able to connect with them as easily as they can right now.

Instagram is basically an electronic photo album where the entire world can comment on and like everything that is put up on there.

Many of WWE's female Superstars use this to their advantage by stretching their fanbase with some questionable photos. Nikki Bella was once accused of breaking Instagram after uploading some of her riskiest photos, whilst the likes of Emma and Summer Rae are more active on Instagram than on WWE TV.

It has become a full-time job in recent years to become a WWE Superstar because the internet never sleeps and it seems that the following women have become more interesting online that they are on WWE TV.

15 Nia Jax

Posting a picture of myself in a bathing suit is VERY hard for me. I have never been one to show off too much skin, and it's not just because I'm a larger woman. After this amazing #Wrestlemania weekend I had a chance to speak to a bunch of young women & men. Most, if not all of them, mentioned that my #BodyPositive mindset had helped them to be able to find confidence within themselves, which really touched me and even brought me to tears numerous times. Thankfully I have always had a family that has supported me and has always reminded me that my beauty comes from within, especially my mother. She constantly reminded me that "no matter how beautiful you are on the outside, if you're insides are ugly, that will be what everyone sees & feels." Don't get me wrong, there have been many occasions where I wished I could be thinner or have a different nose or hairline to fit in, but I realized that fitting in is not always as important as it seems; I realized that I love standing out in positive ways! โ€ข I love sending a message of self-confidence and getting to share that with people. Self-confidence also goes along with being healthy! I work out all the time, I eat healthy & try (emphasis on TRY) to get as much sleep as I can. There are obviously times where I love to pig out and enjoy myself, but I always make sure to never lose my focus on being healthy, because no matter what, your health is the number one most important thing in life. We aren't meant to look the same, but we are all meant to be healthy. We are all beautiful in different ways. Staying healthy adds to beauty. Even more importantly, it will increase your self-confidence. That's been my experience at least ๐Ÿ˜‰. #JaxJungle #NotLikeMost #PowerOfBeingYou

Nia Jax may well be a heel on WWE TV and one Superstar that not many women can connect with, but in her Instagram account she is completely out of character and talks about supporting women when it comes to body image and the way they see themselves.

Nia is herself and she isn't scared to say the things that need to be said when it comes to the WWE Universe and the way many of the women view themselves. Nia's character may not be popular with the WWE Universe after her recent match with Charlotte, and the fact that she was added to their WrestleMania match, but her Instagram account shows that she is a completely different person underneath her character. The woman definitely deserves the respect of the WWE Universe.

14 Maria Kanellis

There have been rumours on the grapevine that Maria Kanellis and her husband Mike Bennett have been backstage at WWE SmackDown over the past few weeks and could well be set to debut in WWE any time now.

Since The Miz and Maryse have gone over to Raw it makes sense to have a power couple to replace them. Maria has been in WWE before and it could be argued that her personality was definitely the best part of her character because as far as wrestling goes, Maria doesn't have many memorable moments. Her Instagram is quite memorable though. Not only does Maria share photos of her and her husband, but she also shares videos for ideas for gimmicks and characters that she has that literally have to be seen to be believed.

13 Mickie James

Mickie James obviously didn't have an Instagram account when she was with WWE the first time around and the company were still trying to work out how to incorporate the WWE App and the internet into storylines. With things like Cyber Sunday being seen as one of their better ideas during that time.

Mickie has adapted to Social Media quite well and even though she hasn't been on top of the Women's Division the way she once was, it has still been interesting to have someone of Mickie's experience back in there. Mickie is now married and has a son named Donovan, as seen above. Someone who is a regular addition to his mom's Instagram account, and someone that Mickie is learning to juggle her WWE career alongside for the first time.

12 Natalya

Natalya is one of the women in WWE that definitely hasn't been given a fair shake, but she has definitely taken to Social Media like a duck to water. especially since it is now reported that her cats have their own Instagram pages.

Natalya's last real feud was against Nikki Bella before she was pushed into the multi-woman match at WrestleMania a few weeks ago. Natalya has been floating around the WWE locker room ever since she switched to SmackDown and even before that when she was relegated to NXT. Natalya makes the best of it though and as can be seen from her Instagram. She knows how to have a good time, as shown above even though she's a heel she can still have a laugh with SmackDown Women's Champion Naomi.

11 Peyton Royce

Alongside Billie Kay, Peyton Royce could arguably be referred to as one of the most interesting parts of the NXT Women's Division at present. Of course, Asuka is tearing it up as Women's Champion, but Peyton and Billie are fast becoming the most entertaining part of the entire show when it comes to the current NXT roster.

Peyton may only be on the NXT roster, but it seems that even the developmental women have their own Instagram accounts and Peyton makes full use of hers. If you thought Peyton was interesting on WWE TV, then her Instagram Page is definitely worth following. She tries to remain in character as her patronizing self-absorbed persona, but sometimes even she has to break out of it to show that she's just a girl having fun.

10 Carmella

You're looking at the next #SDLive Womens Champion ๐Ÿ’๐Ÿผ

A post shared by Leah Van Damme (@carmellawwe) on

Looking like a cross between Enzo Amore and Brie Bella, Carmella's WWE career isn't believed to be going anywhere fast right now. The Princess of Staten Island has been relegated to backstage segments with James Ellsworth and sometimes a match where she can job out to someone else just because WWE doesn't actually have anything for her to do at the moment.

Carmella stood out on NXT and it seems as though her move to the main roster may well have been one of the most underwhelming of all the females who were moved in the draft. Luckily Carmella has her Instagram account where she can share pictures of her outings with Ellsworth and with her boyfriend Big Cass regardless of whether the company decides to put her on TV each week.

9 Stephanie McMahon

Let's be honest, kayfabe basically died when the internet came to power. As well as Total Divas, it's got to be hard to stay in character all the time anyway, right? Well, it seems that even the bosses daughter can't stay in kayfabe on Instagram after she decided to proclaim her love for her enemy brother on National Sibling Day.

Stephanie has been off WWE TV since she was knocked through a table at WrestleMania and is currently believed to be on vacation with her husband Triple H and their family. Even though she hasn't been very interesting on WWE TV lately, she is still quite interesting on Instagram, as she tries to juggle being Vince McMahon's daughter, one of the highest stakeholders in WWE, a mother, and a woman who is new to the world of Instagram. Definitely worth following.

8 Renee Young

Time for that Superstar Shakeup on Smackdown Live. @homage ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

A post shared by Renee Paquette (@reneeyoungwwe) on

Renee Young is not officially a female WWE Superstar. She is actually part of WWE's broadcast team, but with 1.7 million Instagram followers and a main role on Total Divas, it can be argued that Renee has become an honorary female wrestler.

Renee has been the victim of a lot of negative reactions from the WWE Universe after it was announced that she had married WWE star, Dean Ambrose, but that doesn't seem to bother her as she has one of the most interesting Instagram pages in WWE. Unlike many other females Renee shares her taste in music and her thoughts on things that matter. Renee is definitely a much more interesting star on Social Media than she is when she is used on WWE TV. Renee should be allowed to share more of her views on Talking Smack.

7 Eve Torres

Happy Easter from me and my crew! ๐ŸŒท๐ŸŒป๐Ÿ‡๐Ÿฃ

A post shared by Eve Torres Gracie (@evetorresgracie) on

A former three-time Divas Champion in her own right, Eve Torres was also the winner of the final live Diva Search on WE TV back in 2007. Eve left WWE after a few years in the company and has since married, become a mother and began her own company.

Eve has also recently resigned to WWE as one of its ambassadors and the company has recently copyrighted her name. Eve has changed a lot since she was a wrestler and has turned into a role model that many young women in the WWE Universe need to look up to if they're looking for any female role models within the company. Eve uses her Instagram page to continue to send this message and to continue to encourage women to be empowered.

6 Kelly Kelly

A post shared by Barbie Blank (@thebarbieblank) on

Kelly Kelly is a former Divas Champion in her own right and has recently been re-signed to WWE as an ambassador. Many of the WWE Universe thought that this would mean she would make a return on WWE TV at some point, but this is still yet to come to fruition.

Kelly has changed a lot over the past few years since she was a WWE star. She's now married and a stepmother to her Sheldon Souray's children from his previous relationship, which means she is not able to get away with the risky photo shoots and antics she once did. Kelly is still as risky on her Instagram though and is taking full advantage of the fact that she doesn't seem as though she has aged a day, as the photo above shows.

5 Emma

Pool time! ๐Ÿ˜ฌ๐Ÿ‘™

A post shared by Tenille Dashwood (@tenilledashwood) on

Emma has definitely had a year that she will want to forget. From her eight month build up to a 45-second debut, to WWE then deciding that Emmalina wasn't worth it and allowing her to transform back into Emma, whom the WWE Universe will recognize from her time in NXT.

She made her re-debut on the Raw after WrestleMania that was easily overshadowed by manySsuperstars on that night. Emma hasn't had a lot of luck, but it seems she is enjoying life as a WWE Superstar when she's outside of the company. Recently her Instagram has been filled with photos of her trip to Las Vegas, noticeably without her ex-boyfriend Zack Ryder, who is now dating Chelsea Green who is known to the WWE Universe as a TNA Superstar.

4 Paige

No one would blame Paige for being a little worried about putting anything online given the way her last few months have panned out. But it seems that even a hacking scandal can't stop Paige from being that standout person she was born to be. Paige is still as present online as she ever was, proving that she may get knocked down but she will never stay down.

Paige has had a successful career in WWE over the past few years as a former NXT Women's and Divas Champion. But since the beginning of 2016, this all seems to have changed. Even though Paige is no longer the anti-Diva focus on WWE TV she is ever present on Social Media, sharing her wedding, her new house, and all her future goals with her new husband for the public to see on a daily basis.

3 Lana

Before Lana was signed to WWE through the 2013 Diva Search, she was a professional dancer, something that WWE have touched on but not actually used. She was recently advertised to be moving over to SmackDown alone without Rusev with a dance style gimmick, and it seems that this could be her chance.

Lana has been overshadowed by Rusev over the past few years and even on her role on Total Divas has been something of a disappointment. Lana shares a lot of her adventures as a WWE star on Instagram as well as the above video which shows the skills that Lana actually has when WWE give her the chance. It will be interesting to see what kind of gimmick WWE are going to give her when she finally makes her solo debut.

2 Summer Rae

Busy. โœŒ๐Ÿผ #coachella

A post shared by ๐Ÿ”นSummer Rae๐Ÿ”น (@daniellemoinet) on

Despite not being seen on WWE TV for almost a year, Summer Rae is still active on Instagram every day, with the above photo added just a day ago. It seems that Summer is more than recovered from her recent injury and subsequentย surgery and is now awaiting her return to the Raw roster.

If it wasn't for her Instagram account the WWE Universe would easily have forgotten about Summer by now, since the company hasn't even mentioned her or a return date in more than six months. For someone who hasn't appeared on WWE TV for a while, Summer sure is busy. Her Instagram is full of all the outings and holidays that she has been part of over the past few months, so the WWE Universe can still follow her if they want to.

1 Nikki Bella

Let's ย be honest, Nikki Bella really is the final throwback in WWE to the Divas Division that many of the WWE Universe would rather forget. Nikki and her sister Brie have been in WWE for the past decade on and off and have outlasted many women during that time.

While Nikki will always have the fact that she was the longest reigning Divas Champion of all time with 301 days, many fans debate that it was all because of her boyfriend and now her fiance John Cena. Nikki has improved in the ring over the past few years and proved that she deserves to be inside it, but some fans will never look past the fact that she came through the Diva Search and that she never wanted to be a wrestler. Nikki is one of the most followed female wrestlers on Instagram, and her page is full of her photo shoots, red carpet events and even meals with Cena., Nikki seems like a very busy person.
