Vince McMahon does not seem ready to take a step back from WWE any time soon despite turning 76 years old today. WWE booking is basically the whim of McMahon’s mind on any given day with some talents benefiting more than others. Vince is known for having strong preferences that will not change, even if it is counter productive to fan reception.RELATED: 10 NXT 2.0 Wrestlers Vince McMahon Will Have No Idea What To Do WithQuite a few wrestlers have been waiting for bigger opportunities and seem to be unlikely to truly reach that next level if McMahon is involved. Others would probably have to re-establish themselves or will miss out on certain positives from a change in management. The following wrestlers would see a different landscape for their careers if Vince finally stepped down from running WWE.

10 Benefit: Cesaro

Cesaro Wins

One of the most obvious choices of a wrestler who would have a better career in WWE with anyone but Vince McMahon calling the shots is Cesaro. WWE fans have supported Cesaro for years and he delivers whenever given the chance.

McMahon is well-known for not seeing Cesaro’s potential and it has rarely changed through the years. Cesaro had his biggest push in early 2021 winning a WrestleMania 37 match vs Seth Rollins and feuding with Roman Reigns, but he’s moved back in the lower mid-card picture since then, where he’s been for most of his career.

9 Wouldn’t: Charlotte Flair

Charlotte Flair Entrance

The recent news of Charlotte Flair having huge backstage heat in WWE still sees Vince McMahon as a supporter. Reports suggest McMahon was more upset Charlotte didn’t talk things out with him instead of having the on-screen issues with Becky Lynch during the title exchange.

Vince has been one of Charlotte’s biggest supporters and views her as the top female star. The switching of the brands between Lynch and Flair sees the latter on the more important Smackdown brand. Charlotte winning titles to stack up her win total to challenge her dad's record is certainly a McMahon booking decision.

8 Benefit: Mustafa Ali

Mustafa Ali

WWE dropped the ball with the momentum of Mustafa Ali as a face. Ali was once over enough to have a WWE Championship title shot before an injury, and he was even scheduled to win Money in the Bank before another Brock Lesnar return domed him.

Vince McMahon has not given Ali another shot to get over with the horrible heel turn leading Retribution and irrelevant programs following. Ali doesn’t fit the mold of Vince’s typical stars and the close-minded nature of the boss is harming his potential from being fulfilled.

7 Wouldn’t: The Miz

The Miz Promo

The Miz has become one of Vince McMahon’s most trusted WWE employees and will likely have a job in the company for the rest of his life. Even when others in management didn’t like Miz as a top star, Vince made the call for him to win the WWE Championship.

Miz may not be the most pushed main eventer these days, but he is always featured on WWE television when active. The retirement of Vince would see Miz losing that bulletproof spot and potentially having the inconsistencies of the other mid-carders.

6 Benefit: Liv Morgan

Liv Morgan

WWE has witnessed Liv Morgan having crowd support throughout the 2021 return to touring, but a push has not followed. Morgan was a fan hope to win the women’s Money in the Bank match and Queen’s Crown tournament before falling short each time.

The recent move to Raw saw Liv starting her new journey off with yet another loss to Carmella. Vince McMahon would have pushed Morgan by now if he believed in her as a star and a change may be the only way for her to get the spot fans want to see her in.

5 Wouldn’t: Carmella

Carmella Poses

The opposite end of the women’s division sees Carmella often getting more television time than most of her counterparts in the mid-card spot. Carmella’s heel gimmick as “the most beautiful woman in WWE” has seen her scoring more victories against Liv Morgan.

Vince McMahon has a history of pushing women with the gimmick of Carmella and is likely doubling down again. Carmella would have more competition and fewer opportunities if Vince stepped down for the other ladies to get a bigger chance.

4 Benefit: Chad Gable

Chad Gable

WWE has not utilized Chad Gable above the tag team picture with rotating partners throughout the years. Gable’s height was used against him with the horrific Shorty G gimmick to show how Vince McMahon perceived him.

Rumors claim that Gable’s friends in the company want him to leave for AEW or another promotion when his contract expires. Gable winning over Vince seems like a long shot that would require his retirement to lead to greater WWE success.

3 Wouldn’t: Nia Jax

Nia Jax Angry

The negative reputation for Nia Jax as a wrestler has seen her botching or harming her opponents on many occasions. Jax has been in the WWE system for over six years yet now and has yet to show any noteworthy improvement.

Every push of Nia seems to flop instantly, and the company goes back to the well every time. Vince McMahon stepping down would see performers like Jax losing that opportunity to keep rebranding unless she drastically improves.

2 Benefit: Ricochet

Ricochet Mad

The main roster run of Ricochet has been a massive disappointment after huge expectations from the NXT call-up. Ricochet was viewed as one of the most talented performers with a strong upside, but Vince McMahon doesn’t seem to be a fan.

The WWE Championship title shot against Brock Lesnar would have been Ricochet’s biggest opportunity if it didn’t result in him getting buried. Ricochet has done nothing of note in WWE since that squash match. Other names to work with Ricochet in management like Triple H and Paul Heyman were huge supporters, but Vince is the one who doesn’t believe in him.

1 Wouldn’t: Brock Lesnar

Brock Lesnar Crown Jewel

Brock Lesnar would be a huge asset for WWE no matter who was in charge, but Vince McMahon gives him more power than the average person would. The schedule of Lesnar sees him making drastically more money than anyone else to work the least dates.

It would be hard to envision Triple H or other options sacrificing the other talents they built for more Brock wins. McMahon retiring would see Lesnar treated like the other legends instead of the most dominant force in wrestling history that no one on the roster can compare to.
