The women of WWE have gone through an image overhaul over the past few years. Now the company doesn't view the women as the sex symbols that they once did, meaning that the women are no longer forced to enhance their main assets so that they will be pushed on WWE TV.

There have been a number of women over the years who have decided that in order to get ahead in the WWE, they would need to ensure that they had a huge chest for the male demographic of the WWE Universe to be interested in.

While the women of WWE today no longer have to play by the same rules, sadly this was the reality of WWE back in the early 2000s and there were many women who decided that surgery was their best option if they wanted to be taken seriously.

There will always be a huge debate as to whether fake breasts are better than natural ones, but it seems that the following list of 15 women decided that enhancing their chest would give them a much better chance of success in a male dominated company. Even though the times are changing, it's fair to say that many of these women don't regret their decisions.

15 15. Stephanie McMahon

via terapeak.com

Stephanie McMahon is the daughter of WWE Chairman Vince McMahon and even she thought that her best option when she was growing up was to have breast augmentation surgery. Steph decided to go under the knife back in the early 2000s after the WWE Universe had already become used to the only daughter of the McMahon family and her natural, smaller chest.

It was only after the surgery that Stephanie began being taken seriously by WWE creative and was given much bigger roles on WWE TV. Despite promos that mocked Steph's drastic transformation (much like the one that Chris Jericho cut on The Billion Dollar Princess back in 2001) it seems that Stephanie feels that she made the right decision for her career and has stood by it ever since.

14 14. Eva Marie

via wwe.com

Eva Marie recently announced that she and WWE had decided to part ways after not appearing on WWE TV for more than a year, following her 30-day suspension for violating the WWE Wellness Policy back in August 2016.

Eva was signed to WWE after she won the 2013 online Diva Search where the prize was a place in Total Divas and it was on an episode of the E! Network show that Eva revealed that she had decided to get breast implants when she was younger, and one of her implants had burst which forced her to undergo emergency surgery. Eva was fine after the surgery, but it forced her to have more time away from the ring, but it seems that Eva was never destined to be a wrestler in the end, so it didn't affect her career all that much.

13 13. Jillian Hall

via dailymotion.com

Jillian Hall will easily be remembered in WWE as the woman who had the shortest Divas Championship reign and the worst singing voice. Of course, it is unknown how Jillian managed to last as long as she did in WWE since she wasn't exactly gifted in the ring, but it seems that her chest was obviously an asset in this discussion.

Jillian was part of the era where many of the Divas who were in WWE at that time thought that breast enhancement surgery was the best option to push forward their career. Jillian obviously agreed and it seems that her looks were definitely the reasons she lasted as a member of the main roster for so long, so it seems that it was the best option for her at the time.

12 12. Terri Runnels

via youtube.com

Terri Runnels became known to the WWE Universe as Marlena when she managed her real life husband Goldust before moving on to manage Shawn Stasiak. Terri also tried her hand at wrestling during her career and was part of a team alongside Jacqueline called PMS.

Terri was part of the company when all of the women were stunning like Sable, Jacqueline, and Sunny. All of them had undergone breast enhancement surgery already and were seen as the cover girls of the company, so it makes sense that Terri thought that she should cash in on her best assets. It was after her surgery that Terri began showing off the bottom part of her breasts that was dubbed her "underboob", something that she became famous for whenever she appeared on WWE TV.

11 11. Stacy Keibler

Stacy Keibler could have easily escaped without the WWE Universe knowing about her enhancement surgery, especially since her main asset was always her long legs. It seems that despite being famous for her pins, Stacy decided that following her successful WWE career when she was dating the likes of Hollywood star George Clooney, it was time to invest in one of her other assets.

Stacy is one of the only women in WWE who decided to have the breast enhancement surgery after her career was over. It seems that the life of rubbing shoulders with the rich and famous became too much for her and she decided she needed to change her appearance to fit in. Stacy has continued to be successful years after she left WWE, so it seems that she made the right decision.

10 10. Beth Phoenix

via wwe.com

Beth Phoenix is a former WWE Divas and Women's Champion and considered by many of the WWE Universe to be one of the best female wrestlers of the last generation. Beth brought something different to the table and made history when she became only the second female wrestler to enter a Royal Rumble match.

CM Punk noted a few years ago that he once dated Beth and it didn't end well with her because she was the sort of woman who only wanted a boyfriend to say that she had one. It seems that Beth made the decision to enhance her chest for the same reason. WWE was already taking her seriously, there was no need for her to have cosmetic surgery to force the company to push her any further.

9 9. Maryse

via pinterest.com

Maryse is a former WWE Divas Champion, she was once the longest reigning Divas Champion in history until AJ Lee broke her record in 2014. Maryse made the decision to leave WWE back in 2011, but then returned to the company following WrestleMania 32 and has since remained by her husband The Miz's side, playing a key role in his recent success.

Maryse came to WWE through the Diva Search and after arriving in WWE and taking the Women's Division by storm, it seems that Maryse decided that she needed to be like many of the other women in the company at the time and decided to have enhancement surgery. It seems that the surgery gave her career a boost with two Divas Championship reigns, something that she obviously thought that she couldn't achieve without them.

8 8. Jacqueline

via pinterest.com

Jacqueline is now seen as a WWE Hall of Famer and a former WWE Diva, she was considered to be a step above many other women when she was part of the company but was never used right by the creative team.

Jacqueline had already spent time on the wrestling circuit before she was signed to WWE in 1998 but still made the decision to have enhancement surgery so that she would stand out in the biggest wrestling promotion in the world. It seems that this was a decision that Jacqueline never recovered from, as her wrestling suffered following the surgery. Now it seems that her entire legacy could be considered forgettable. Although there was that one moment following her match against Sable at Capitol Punishment in 1998 that WWE fans will always remember.

7 7. Nikki Bella

via forbes.com

Nikki and her sister Brie Bella made their debuts on WWE TV as twins, they were signed to the company as twins and it seems that Nikki has now ruined this for the couple since she decided that she wanted enhancement surgery and her sister didn't. Nikki is the longest reigning Divas Champion in WWE history, but her career never really picked up until she underwent enhancement surgery on one of her biggest assets.

Of course, twin magic no longer works for the two sisters because it's fairly easy now to tell the sisters apart, but it seems that Nikki definitely doesn't regret her decision and even spent an entire episode of Total Divas recently trying to talk her sister into getting the surgery as well. Nikki is seemingly in love with the results after spending much of her life unable to show off her much smaller chest.

6 6. Lita

via twitter.com

Lita is one of the best-known WWE Divas in the history of the company. Not only is Lita a four-time Women's Champion, but she is also now a WWE Hall of Famer and recently returned to the company to help on commentary for the first ever all-female tournament called The Mae Young Classic that is currently showing on the WWE Network.

Lita worked her way up to WWE by training in Mexico before she was first given her shot at being part of WWE. It seems that Lita needed something that would allow her to stand out in a male dominated company and enhancing her breasts was the best option she had when she first came to the company. It seems that it worked and Lita has been turning heads all over the world ever since.

5 5. Gail Kim

via ewrestling.com

Gail Kim is a former WWE Women's Champion, but she went on to make a name for herself in TNA rather than WWE when she revealed that she didn't like the direction that the WWE's Women's Division was headed and that she would never return to the company.

Gail made history when she won the Women's Championship on her debut back in 2003, but this seemingly wasn't enough for WWE to take her seriously. Instead, it was breast enhancement surgery that seemed to help Gail's career much more. Even though it wasn't made obvious that she had gone under the knife because she didn't have huge implants, the ones that she had were big enough to make a difference and compliment her body in all of the right ways.

4 4. Eve Torres

via alchetron.com

Eve Torres won the final live Raw Diva Search back in 2007 and managed to fit into the WWE roster so well that she now has three Divas Championship reigns to her name and recently returned to the company as an ambassador.

Eve certainly left an impression and much of that was thanks to the fact that she decided to have some surgical enhancements to help boost her appeal in the eyes of the WWE Universe. Eve's breast enhancement surgery didn't stand out like many other women's because much like Gail Kim she didn't go over the top and make it obvious that she had had her breasts enlarged, but she did seem much more confident in herself following the surgery and it seems to have done wonders for her wrestling career.

3 3. Trish Stratus

via pinterest.com

Trish Stratus is the most successful female wrestler of all time having held the Women's Championship a record seven times before her retirement in 2006. When Trish was first signed to WWE, she had no actual wrestling experience so she relied heavily on her looks to get her over with the WWE Universe, and it seems that breast enhancement surgery was a big positive in this regard.

Trish later learned how to wrestle while working as a valet and manager on WWE TV and is now a WWE Hall of Famer, but Trish only ever had the enhancement to help boost her WWE career. She proved this following her retirement when she decided to have breast reduction surgery so that she could continue working in a gym like she was before her time in WWE.

2 2. Torrie Wilson

via pinterest.com

Torrie Wilson was never able to lift gold of any kind when she was contracted to WWE and was instead always seen as the main eye candy of the women's roster since she made the switch to WWE from WCW.

Torrie is a two-time Playboy cover girl, so it is likely that she knew what her assets were and that is why she made the popular decision to have them enhanced. It seems that this may have boosted her career in a number of ways and even though her increased chest size didn't help her to win the coveted WWE Women's Championship, she was able to fight it out in a Playboy pillow fight with fellow Playboy cover girl Candice Michelle back at WrestleMania 22 in one of the most memorable matches.

1 1. Charlotte

via wwe.com

The women in WWE have spent the last few years proving that they deserve to be taken seriously as wrestlers rather than only being seen as the eye candy that WWE has advertised them as over the past few decades.

Even though Charlotte has been one of the women who has spearheaded the real life women's revolution and is now a four time Raw Women's Champion, it seems that she also felt the need to improve a certain part of her body surgically. Charlotte is the daughter of Ric Flair and given her talent in the ring, there is no way that she needed to enhance her chest to be taken seriously, it seems that this one was just a hint of cosmetic surgery that Charlotte decided to get for herself.
