The world of wrestling creates a lot of opportunities for many wrestlers to become an icon in the eyes of the fans. The WWE has created so many fan-favorites over the years as these popular wrestlers tend to be very faithful to their fans when performing in the ring. While a lot of wrestlers are actually very cool, kind people outside the ring too, the same cannot be said about some other wrestlers especially those who have bid adieu to the WWE and do not want to deal with the fans who made them famous in the first place.

These wrestlers who leave the WWE for something more profitable or taking a different turn in their careers don't really want to deal with the fan-service outside their work, as they have the reputation of acting rudely towards fans and often dissing them when they were approached for a photo or an autograph. Some also look to manipulate the fans for their own profit, as some of these wrestlers who leave the WWE turn into something totally different afterwards.

So let's take a look at some of these wrestlers who act quite badly towards the fans after saying goodbye to the WWE.

20 20. Tazz

via wrestlingnews.co

Tazz has transitioned from his wrestling career really well over the years, as he changed from a hard-hitting wrestler into a successful commentator in the WWE. Now he has his own podcast in The Tazz Show where he speaks about wrestling all around and while he seems to be a cool guy to hang out with, he really isn't. Tazz has the reputation of being rude towards fans and ignoring them, as he also spoke on how he didn't enjoy the fans when he attended New York's biggest wrestling convention some time back. The original submission specialist seems like a real chill dude, but he's actually not the most friendliest of guys in real life.

19 19. Val Venis

via WWE.com

Val Venis was one of the real raunchy characters of the Attitude Era, as his erotic antics caught the eye of many as he succeeded as a mid-carder, going onto win the European and Intercontinental Championship during the time. While he might have been a real treat for fans at the time, it doesn't seem like he's that kind towards them in real life, as there have been various reports of Venis ignoring the fans and acting like a big douche towards them. Apparently in one occasion, Venis abused some fans in Spanish when they asked him for autographs and almost ran over someone when trying to escape from the situation. It seems like the marijuana has left him in a rather off state, as he's not the kindest person to go up to and someone you'd want to stay clear of.

18 18. The Honky Tonk Man

via Chinlock.com

The Honky Tonk Man might not get all the applauds that he deserves, but he helped to establish the Intercontinental Championship as a prestigious title in the WWE, as his iconic reign of over a year of holding the Intercontinental Title probably makes him the greatest IC champion of all time. But times have been harsh for The Honky Tonk Man over the years, as he barely gets any work and has to live off his name and reputation, often selling merchandise to make a living. But Honky Tonk Man isn't really that kind to the fans, as there have been various reports of him acting like a complete jerk and behaving very rudely to the fans, often asking them to pay him when they want an autograph or picture. He's turned into someone who is only into fans' money, as he has lost his love for the product and its fans and has turned into a bitter, greedy old man now.

17 17. Billy Gunn

via WWE.com

Billy Gunn might have been a really hot commodity during the Attitude Era, as the member of the New Age Outlaws and D-Generation X enticed many with his physique and wrestling ability and put together many memorable matches as well. But as soon as the Attitude Era came to an end, so did his rise, as the last few years haven't really been that kind to Gunn who is struggling to find proper work. But his attitude could be the main problem, as he has the reputation of acting very rudely towards the fans, as his awful arrogance makes him an unbearable person to communicate with as a fan. Apparently in one event, Gunn told the fans waiting for his autographs to "f**k off" and in other occasions has also acted like a douche to the fans, as his awful arrogance is something which makes him someone you'd definitely want to avoid.

16 16. Sabu

via WWE.com

Sabu was one of the real icons of ECW, as his mysterious gimmick was a real hit back in the days and his amazing, high-flying style of extreme stuck with the fans. But what someone should know very clearly is that you DO NOT want to tick him off, as Sabu is someone who loves to live his personal life in his own solitude as there have been many reports of Sabu ignoring fans or flipping them off at times, but the most renown ones are where he gets physical with fans. Sabu once beat up a fan who touched his turban, as he had to be separated before he did something to the poor fellow. This maniac is someone who you'd only want to enjoy in the wrestling field and definitely not want to tick off outside it.

15 15. Shane Helms

via WWE.com

Shane Helms is probably best known as "The Hurricane", who was a hilarious character back in the days with his superhero gimmick, but the person behind the mask isn't really that kind to the fans outside the product. Helms has the reputation of being quite the jerk to the fans outside the wrestling ring, as he's been part of many conventions ever since being released by the WWE and is always looking for his own profit rather than pleasing the fans. He's always asking for money to get an autograph or picture, and the most glaring occasion of his mistreatment of fans is when he was arrested in 2010 for allegedly beating up three people in an intoxicated state. Helms seems to be a big-time douche and even if he was entertaining in the wrestling ring, he's someone you do not want to meet because of his snobbish attitude.

14 14. Jake "The Snake" Roberts

via thesun.co.uk

Jake Roberts has gone through hell and back in all these years, as his wrenching battle with alcoholism had left him in an absolute mess before DDP saved his life. While he caught the attention of a lot of fans with his chilling personality, his drug abuse never really made him the most fan serving one as he ignored fans and didn't want to deal with them at all. He's been going to conventions and wrestling events recently, but he still charges the fans for a photo or autographs and though one can understand his situation, he's someone you would want to avoid meeting outside the ring as his battle with his demons has changed him a lot over the years and turned him into someone not many will not necessarily like.

13 13. Sable

via WWE.com

Sable might have been the hottest thing about the Attitude Era, as her sensual segments helped to put the women of the WWE on the map and make her one of the most sought-after women in the wrestling business, but she's actually quite the snobby woman outside the ring. Sable has had the reputation of loving her own space outside the WWE, as she might have pleased the audience well in the company, but ignores every fan outside it. Be it denying autographs or simple ignoring anyone, she showed to still be that snobby woman a few years back when in an airport incident she dissed a fan trying to get an autograph from her and husband Brock Lesnar, who also didn't comply with the fan. Sable seems to be a loner and can be a massive douche when approached by a fan, as her nature makes her someone you would definitely not want to approach.

12 12. Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake

via ringthedamnbell.wordpress.com

Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake didn't really reach his full potential in his wrestling career, but because of his best pal Hulk Hogan would always be in a good position as he was living a very lavish life in the 80s and 90s before Hogan's popularity decreased in the turn of the century, leaving Beefcake to fend for himself. Brutus would continue to wrestle in the Independent circuit, as his name would find him being invited to many wrestling events and conventions, but he acts like a real jerk to the fans in these events. There have been reports of him being there just for the money, as he demands the fans to pay him for any autograph/picture and doesn't really seem to be that interested in dealing with the fans either. He's quite the snobbish douche outside the wresting ring and because of his greed for money and lack of care for the fans, he is the kind of guy who really shouldn't be recognized by anyone.

11 11. Kevin Nash

via wwe.com

Kevin Nash had quite the glory days back in the 90s, as he excelled in the WWE as "Big Daddy Cool" Diesel, before making a big money move to WCW where he made a LOT of money in all those years. While his popularity has cooled off since then, he's still heavily involved in the wrestling scene as he often makes appearances in wrestling events and conventions, but is actually a big jerk to fans in it. He barely speaks to the fans and doesn't really want to do autographs or pictures unless he's getting paid for them, as Nash is actually a shrewd money-maker who is always looking to do things for his own profit and doesn't really care for the fans, as his hunger for money and profit makes him someone you'd definitely want to avoid outside the ring.

10 10. Matt Hardy

via WWE.com

Matt Hardy has been quite popular among the wrestling fans for quite some-time now, as his different personas over the years have kept him popular with the fans as he loves to entertain the fans with his work as well. But while he serves to entertain the fans inside the ring, Hardy is a completely different person outside it as he has had the reputation of being quite the jerk to fans over the fans, often acting quite rudely towards them when he was approached beyond the ring by the fans. In one occasion, he apparently many fans waiting during an event for autographs to "f**k off", as he has misbehaved with a lot of fans over the years and his awful attitude makes him someone you'd want to avoid outside the ring and though he might look awesome inside the ring, he's actually quite the prick outside it.

via WWE.com

Scott Hall was quite the fan-favorite back in the 90s, as his cool persona as Razor Ramon and beyond in WCW as part of the NWO got him in the good books of the fans, who have remembered him to this day. Although Hall went through some really difficult years because of his addiction to alcohol, he has managed to recover in the past few years and although he can't wrestle anymore, he does attend many wrestling events and conventions. But while he has demanded a lot from fans to donate for his surgeries over the years, he still acts like quite a jerk to those same fans in real life as he doesn't really want to interact with anyone, and demands for money for the interaction. He also apparently denied a terminally ill child a signed photograph in a wrestling convention a few years back, as he seems to be quite the ungrateful, awful man outside wrestling and is someone you'd want to steer clear off.

via WWE.com

Stacy Keibler was definitely one of the hottest women in the WWE during her stint in the early 2000s, as her time as the Duchess of Dudleyville and assistant to Mr. McMahon is heavily remembered,as that period also made for a lot of fans. Keibler has since moved onto something else and she really doesn't like to interact with fans, as she has had the habit of ignoring fans and wanting to interact with them at all over the years. She has quite the attitude problem and doesn't really want to tie herself up with the wrestling fans who made her famous in the first place, as her terrible attitude and snobby nature makes her someone you'd also want to ignore in real life as well.

7 7. Scott Steiner

via WWE.com

"Big Poppa Pump" Scott Steiner has quite the extraordinary personality to himself, as the muscular wrestling specimen has been in the industry for quite a long time now and made good memories, but his awful real-life nature makes him a guy you definitely wouldn't want to approach Steiner has the reputation of being quite a trash-talking loud-mouth over the years and doesn't really care for the wrestling fans either, as he barely interacts with them and doesn't shy away from giving them a piece of his mind when he gets pissed off. Steiner apparently also got physical with a fan who was apparently making him angry, as his unpredictable temperament and foul attitude makes him someone you really do not want to meet or greet in real life.

6 6. Virgil

via WWE.com

Virgil probably over-achieved in his wrestling career which he started out as the "servant" of the Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase, as his defiance to DiBiase saw a rise in his own popularity at the time. But Virgil's wrestling career was done and dusted with the turn of the century, as he would go away for a new career line for sometime but soon be back to wrestling. But he got no work from promoters, as he was left to attend conventions where he would sell merchandise and try to make some money for himself. His constant hovering in conventions also resulted in the "Lonely Virgil" jokes recently, but it turns out that he's actually quite the douche to fans and is all about taking their cash. Virgil only lets the fans take pictures or autographs if they pay him cash, as he often also acts rudely towards them and is a greedy man who should be avoided at all costs, or else he'll take your money and leave you feeling awful.

5 5. X-Pac

via WWE.com

After his wrestling career ended some years ago, Flair has been attending many conventions but acts like a real jerk to fans who come up to him, often wanting money for an autograph or picture. Ric also once behaved rudely to a fan who told him to ease up on complaining to Eric Bischoff during his WCW days, to which he quickly dismissed him without really interacting with him.
