Triple H has revealed the minimum salary wrestlers on WWE’s main roster earn.

The 14-time World Champion recently announced his retirement from wrestling, citing a cardiac event and the fact that he has a defibrillator in his chest as the reason.

HHH confirmed he will never wrestle again, yet that did not stop him from walking out in front of over 75,000 people at the AT&T Stadium in Dallas, Texas, on the second night of WrestleMania 38. He took a final sip from a bottle of water and performed his iconic spray before leaving a pair of boots in the ring.

While he won’t be involved in competition anymore, Triple H is far from done with professional wrestling and will continue to develop talent for WWE. He has served as the head of the company’s developmental department for over 10 years and was the main driving force behind the creation of NXT.

According to The Athletic, HHH disclosed the minimum salary a performer for either Raw or SmackDown can earn is $250,000 per year during a recent WWE event.

“The money in wrestling is real. Levesque said wrestlers on the main roster for “Raw” or “SmackDown” earn at least $250,000 annually,” the publication stated.

WWE Signs 15 New Athletes

The Game was in full scout mode when 51 former and current college athletes took part in a recent three-day tryout in Dallas.

“You look at all the kids in college football that didn’t get to the NFL, what’s the difference between the ones that made it and the ones that didn’t? Not much,” he was quoted as saying by The Athletic. “You go past that, you look at a hammer thrower. After college, what are the job opportunities for a hammer thrower? Or a woman that is an amazing track star? Coaching?”

Of the 51 athletes who tried out, 15 were offered an opportunity to sign with WWE while six were presented with an extended tryout opportunity in Florida, presumably at WWE’s Performance Center.
