As many wrestlers come and go throughout each company, from World Wrestling Entertainment to TNA Impact Wrestling and then back to WWE.  Some wrestlers have excelled from moving companies, such as AJ Styles, Samoa Joe, and Austin Aries, to name a few. Plus, with the addition of NXT and the talents of Bobby Roode and Eric Young, these individuals have taken the WWE by storm. However there are a crop of wrestlers in TNA Wrestling that may never be seen at the big show. This list that I have compiled are wrestlers in TNA Wrestling who won’t make it to WWE and the reason why.

10. Crazzy Steve

Stephen Scott AKA Crazzy Steve is a professional wrestler from Canada. He was trained by former TNA World Heavyweight Champion Eric Young. Scott signed a contract with TNA using the gimmick Crazzy Steve. He made his first appearance in TNA as part of the stable The Menagerie which lasted from 2014 to 2015. Shortly after he was off TV for a while until he made his return to the company in the Wild Card Tournament. Crazzy Steve is a former TNA Tag Team Champion alongside TNA long-stay wrestler Abyss. Collectively, they are  known as The Decay. Most recently the duo lost the TNA Tag Team Championship to Jeff Hardy and Broken Matt Hardy in a NO DQ match live on TNA Impact Wrestling. Let’s see what is next for The Decay as Crazy Mary Dobson has just signed with the WWE so this could spell the end for The Decay.

The reason mainly I believe that he’s not good enough for WWE is because his gimmick in TNA Impact Wrestling has gone stale, which is unfortunate for Scott. The fans weren’t behind him and in the few years he’s been in the company he’s not really progressed as a wrestler or re-invented his gimmick. The other factor that you have to consider is that World Wrestling Entertainment are known for the most famous clown in wrestling history with Doink. Add to that the fact that Scott isn’t a big Indie name either and he won’t really catch the eye of WWE. With the departure of Decay members what else will TNA Impact Wrestling be able to do with Crazy Steve? I personally believe he’ll go back on the Indies and hopefully re-invent himself to be able to climb back up the ladder.

9. Jessie Godderz

Jessie Godderz’ gimmick is Mr. Pec-Tacular. He is currently one half of The BroMans alongside current TNA Superstar Robbie E. Together they are the two-time former TNA Tag Team Champions. Godderz was also a former Ohio Valley Wrestling Tag Team Champion. Godderz has been around for quite some time in TNA Wrestling but has always been stuck in regards to gimmicks. The BroMans tag team has been his most successful and has helped him become a very good tag team wrestler. However whenever he’s been a singles wrestlers he’s unfortunately never had that star power enabling him to get a push towards any major titles. Maybe at some point the TNA board will look at pushing him to showcase his true value and worth to the company.

Now in regards to Godderz, he has a great look obviously and he is dedicated to his fitness and nutrition. Not only that but he looks like a wrestler as well. The thing is, at the WWE Performance Center, they have a load of guys that look exactly the same. He would have to change something in order for him to standout from this crowd which I think is why he would struggle. He has done the same gimmick for years and he’s had chances to re-invent himself but chose not to. This alongside his average wrestling ability I highly doubt WWE would be looking to bring him in any time soon if ever. I believe the tag team could work in the WWE but it doesn’t look like they will be calling Godderz.

8. Marti Belle

via huffingtongpost.com

via huffingtongpost.com

Martibel Payano aka Marti Belle is a Dominican-American female professional wrestler currently under contract with TNA. Her gimmick name is Marti Belle. Belle has been on the indy circuit now for a while and has competed for promotions such as Evolve, Shine, and Shimmer where she has wrestled female professional wrestlers such as Saraya Knight, Candice Le Ray, and many more. During her indie career she’s held quite a few titles which prompted TNA to sign Belle. Despite this indie background, she hasn’t really had her chance to shine in TNA apart from her most recent run with a feud against TNA Superstar Jade. Hopefully TNA will give her more of an opportunity to do what she did on the Indies in the not too distant future.

In regards to her wrestling ability you can certainly argue the pros and cons. However, looking at her gimmick, there’s no real character. Her moves are at best workable but nothing screams out to me saying she needs to be in the WWE. Marti Belle with all due respect wouldn’t light up the Women’s Division on WWE TV. I think she has a good spot in TNA wrestling good female wrestlers like Jade while continuing to learn her craft. With the abundance of good female wrestlers in WWE NXT, I don’t think she’s up to that standard ring-wise and I wouldn’t see her standing out from the pack that they have already. Hopefully her run with Jade in TNA will help her improve a lot in the ring which will be better in the long run for her career.

7. Eddie Edwards

One half of one of most popular indy tag teams in the States is smashing it on TNA right now. The American Wolves for years have been the forefront leaders of independent tag team wrestling. Eddie Edwards alongside Davey Richards made a massive impact on TNA as soon as they were signed, bursting onto the scene winning the TNA Tag Team Championship almost instantly. Due to an unforeseen injury to Richards, Edwards had to go alone and this month after good matches and hard work, Eddie Edwards became the TNA World Heavyweight Champion. He has recently done a stint on the British independent scene where he defended his TNA Heavyweight Championship and successfully won all his matches. I personally don’t see the big attraction but the UK fans enjoyed his matches, which at the end of the day is all that counts.

For Eddie Edwards, the guy can wrestle. He has a good physique, however after many try outs and dark matches alongside Davey Richards with the WWE, the problem lies with his charisma because he’s hasn’t got any. As a professional wrestler you need to have charisma. You want the people to believe in you. Also, I would look at his mic skills, can you get invested in an Eddie Edwards match after he’s cut a promo? Are you bothered about what he’s saying? Does he keep you entertain by his words? For me the answer is no. I want Edwards to make me feel like I want to watch, not because he’s reading off a script where there’s no emotion. For me, if you’re the face of the company which at the moment Eddie Edwards is I don’t think he has all the tools in his locker to be the top guy.

6. Ethan Carter III

via youtube.com

Ethan Carter III (EC3) or as some of you will remember him, Derrick Bateman from WWE. Now this proves that Carter could cut it in the WWE, however, due to potential substance abuse in 2013 he was released from his contract. Carter made many appearances for OVW and FCW (now NXT) over a five year period. Bateman was called up to the main roster as a competitor for season four of NXT (which at the time featured up-and-coming Superstars being mentored by the pros). Bateman’s pro was Daniel Bryan and after finishing third in the competition he was a common feature on the NXT show. Bateman was never pushed when in fairness he should have been. However, WWE didn’t see the future potential in Bateman and he was released in 2013.

I personally think that due to substance abuse issues and violations, Carter won’t be seen in a WWE ring again in the future. It’s hard enough controlling other Superstars that they have on their roster with substance abuse let alone sign a wrestler with previous violations. This wouldn’t look good for the WWE. It is a shame because Carter is talented and has the look but outside activities are stopping this promising Superstar any chance at the big show. I believe if Carter was to get sorted then he would be a fantastic fit for the WWE as they need good talkers and workers on the roster. We always say “never say never” in regards to a return but maybe Carter’s chance has been and gone.

5. Rockstar Spud

via youtube.com

via youtube.com

Rockstar Spud is one of the most charismatic wrestlers TNA have ever had. He’s very good in the ring both with phycology and his story telling. He’s been all over world wrestling and is a great asset to TNA Wrestling. Rockstar Spud made his name on the UK indy scene wrestling for companies such as HOPE Wrestling and Southside Wrestling Entertainment. During 2013 TNA announced they were going to do a British boot camp featuring four British wrestlers: Marty Scrull, Rockstar Spud, and The Blossom Twins (Hannah and Holly). During this series Rockstar Spud emerged as the winner and was thrown straight into the deep end as assistant to then president Dixie Carter. Since then he’s had great success wrestling against Ethan Carter III and Kurt Angle to name but a few.

via nzpwi.co.nz

The only reason I can put forward for Rockstar Spud is simple: his height. Now you can argue that he’s already on national TV and he’s now a big name in TNA Wrestling but WWE are specific in what they look for in regards to talent regulations. I honestly think if they looked past this then he’d be an asset but unfortunately due to his height I don’t think we will be seeing Rockstar Spud in a WWE ring any time soon. which is a shame as his in-ring ability and microphone work is great. He’s gone from being the best heel in TNA to the best face in TNA so we know he’s very diverse. Would the WWE fans like to see Rockstar Spud? Maybe. We will just have to wait and find out.

4. Moose

via breakingwrestlingnews.com

via breakingwrestlingnews.com

Moose is a former Nation Football League player and had a very good career playing for teams such as Atlanta Falcons, St. Louis Rams, New England Patriots, and the Indianapolis Colts. Believe it or not Moose has only been wrestling for four years as he started on the independent circuit back in 2012 after being trained by former WWE wrestler Mr. Hughes who served as the former bodyguard of the WWE Hall of Famer “Mr Perfect” Curt Hennig. Since then Moose has wrestled for Global Force Wrestling, Dragon Gate USA, and Ring of Honor. Now TNA Grand Champion, he’s certainly getting a good push. However, a push is great but can he live up to the high expectations of the TNA board enough to contend for the TNA Heavyweight Championship? No doubt that Moose has all the tools but if not used correctly by TNA then Moose could find himself back down on the indy circuit.

Now in May, 2009, Moose was arrested for battery at his house in Georgia. Moose fought with his then wife. Moose spat at her during an argument over messages from a female friend of his on his personal messenger account on yep you’ve guessed it, none other than Facebook. This according to the report filled by Georgia Police Department. His then wife divorced him and soon after this he retired from the National Football League and decided to become a professional wrestler. Moose headed all over the United States and Europe making a name for himself predominantly working with Ring Of Honor. Unfortunately run ins with the police department will be the main reason as to why the WWE won’t sign Moose any time soon.

3. Jay Bradley

via youtube.com

via youtube.com

Bradley Jayden “Brad” Thomas is a professional wrestler contracted by TNA Wrestling. While his previous ring name was Aiden O’Shea, he works as Jay Bradley in TNA. In WWE he was known as Ryan Baddock while working Ohio Valley Wrestling and SmackDown for a while. Once WWE cut ties with Deep South Wrestling they sent him down to OVW for more training. He was trained by Ace Steel, known for training great guys like “the best in the world” CM Punk and one of professional wrestling’s independent darlings Boom Boom Colt Cabana. Bradley has had limited success in TNA and his latest gimmick was that of the muscle man behind TNA president Billy Corgan. With TNA not keeping there TV deals is it too late to see what else Jay Bradley could have brought to the table in TNA?

3. Reason Jay Bradley Will Never Make It In WWE

via youtube.com

via youtube.com

Having already been with WWE and released, Bradley really hasn’t progressed in the ring which is why he’s not being used as an in-ring talent at the moment. He has no gimmick and some of his matches in TNA have been less than impressive. He may be safe in the ring but he’s not a draw and the WWE aren’t going to be bringing him back any time soon, if ever. The main thing for me is that if you were worth something to WWE then they would of invested time and money into you and would have kept you around while using you properly. Unfortunately this hasn’t happened for Jay Bradley. He could do great in Europe, it’s just a case of if and when British promoters look into bringing him over.

2. Mahabali Shera

via youtube.com

via youtube.com

Amanpreet Singh Randhawa is Indian professional wrestler contracted with TNA under the gimmick Mahabali Shera. In December 2011, Shera was part of TNA’s India project. Ring Ka King which was broadcasted to millions of TNA fans. He competed in the Ring Ka King World Heavyweight Championship tournament. During this tournament he defeated Eugene and the lost in the quarter finals to “Big Poppa Pump” Scott Steiner. This show was on for around a year and in April 2012 Mahabali Shera defeat Magnus to become the Ring Ka King World Heavyweight Champion. This has been his biggest success to date since joining TNA. Since his championship win he was part of The Revolution headed by “The Cowboy” James Storm and most recently was teaming with Scottish Superstar, the man known as Grado. Since then he’s literally done nothing and now finds himself on the indy circuit of professional wrestling.

2. Why Mahabali Shera Will Never Make It In WWE

via youtube.com

via youtube.com

In all fairness for some reason or another Indian wrestlers don’t get pushed or are rarely signed by the WWE, Shera doesn’t have that Superstar appeal and I don’t think that will help him get signed. WWE failed with The Great Khali, Mahummed Hassan, Davari, and Jinder Mahal (although he has re-signed and done nothing). Apart from the fact that Shera isn’t a NAME then there’s no value to signing him. Shera is due to make a surprise visit to the United Kingdom this year but there’s no buzz about him as the UK fans just can’t be bothered. This is why WWE won’t be looking at bringing him in, in regards to a contract. If he was to go and make a name for himself maybe in Japan then that may give him some steam to get push or create a buzz.

1. Abyss

via keyword-suggestions.com

Christopher Joseph Parks, also known as Abyss. Parks is currently an active member of the TNA roster. Now believe it or not, Parks is a former National Wrestling Alliance Heavyweight Champion. He is also a former X Division Champion and a former Television Champion in TNA. He is also a former NWA Tag Team Champion with former partner AJ Styles who is now the WWE World Champion. To top it off Abyss is also a former two-time TNA Tag Team Champion: once as part of the stable The Revolution and most recently as part of the tag team The Decay alongside Crazzy Steve who both recently lost their titles to Jeff Hardy and Broken Matt Hardy. Abyss specializes in Monster’s Ball matches which are essentially Hardcore matches with their own twist.

via wikiwand.com

Despite his previous accolades, Abyss in theory is a poor man’s Mick Foley. Known for his Death matches and Hardcore matches in TNA, Abyss has been at the forefront of being TNA’s only true hardcore wrestler. Which unfortunately tarnishes you in a bad light. The main reason being that now that WWE are PG, the hardcore gimmicks are rarely used unless it’s a specified event or match. Plus the fact that WWE still use Kane as there go to guy for these matches, there really wouldn’t be room for Abyss. Maybe back in the Attitude Era but I can’t see WWE looking at signing the Monster nowadays. Which is a shame as he’s a very good worker for a big guy. He went over to the UK a few months back and defeated in a non-title match against former Southside Heavyweight Champion Joseph Connors in a 10,000 tack match. This match was very good but what’s next for Abyss?
