The 24/7 Title was introduced in May of 2019 in an attempt to shake up WWE programming and resurrect the unpredictable nature of the Attitude Era's Hardcore Championship. Since Mick Foley introduced the title, it has been held by a multitude of both active WWE superstars and celebrity guests.

The 24/7 Title has frequently changed hands several times on just one edition of WWE Raw or WWE Smackdown, either in the ring or in backstage segments with the champion hiding from their pursuers. These are 10 of the shortest title reigns in the entire history of the belt so far.

10 Jinder Mahal, >1 Day

The Modern Day Maharajah was one of the first superstars to pursue the 24/7 title and succeeded in duping then-champion R Truth in a website and social media segment. R Truth was ready to board a flight when Jinder snuck up behind and rolled up the champion, retreating into the plane with the gold.

However, his reign didn't make it to a full day as a few hours later, a sleeping Jinder was pounced on by Truth, pinning Jinder in an unheard of situation that has since been recorded as taking place 39,000 feet above the Red Sea.

9 Candice Michelle, >1 Day

The 24/7 championship changed hands an unprecedented nine times during the July 22nd edition of Raw in 2019, which served as a special Raw Reunion. Candice Michelle attacked and pinned Kelly Kelly, who had successfully wooed the belt away from Gerald Briscoe.

Her celebration was, however, short-lived as former Women's Champion Alundra Blayze quickly took the opportunity to take her own chance at winning the belt. She applied a sleeper hold to Candice, who had no choice but to tap, special guest referee Melina calling the decision and ending Candice's reign merely a few minutes after it had begun.

8 Mike Kanellis, >1 Day

Mike Kanellis has the unwanted claim of holding two 24/7 title reigns that lasted less than one day. During the first, he took advantage of a dog-pile situation to pin R-Truth and make off with the belt, only to be forced to lay down and surrender the championship to his wife Maria (though they are a real-life couple, they don't feature on Total Divas).

On the second occasion, he pinned Maria as she lay down in an examination room, but was then foiled by R Truth dressed as a pregnant woman. Though he can claim to be a two-time former champion, it wouldn't be wise for Mike to draw attention to these statistics in the future.

7 The Revival, >1 Day

The Revival are former co-24/7 champions as the tag-team managed to successfully pin R-Truth when he interrupted one of their matches. They simultaneously pinned the champ, hence why they are referred to as co-champions.

Their reign only lasted a few minutes, however, as they were attacked by their tag match opponents, Lucha House Party. This allowed R-Truth to capitalize and pin Scott Dawson to recapture his belt, who escaped quickly to ensure that his reign didn't suffer the same fate as that of The Revival's.

6 Cedric Alexander, >1 Day

On the June 24th edition of Monday Night Raw, several superstars became the 24/7 champion including Heath Slater, EC3 and R-Truth, who originally held the title at the start of the episode. Cedric Alexander is also among this list, pinning R-Truth for the gold in the ring after hitting his finishing move The Lumbar Check.

Cedric then attempted to escape but ran into EC3, who planted his head into the floor outside and covered him for the title. Cedric's reign didn't last longer than 30 seconds, making it easily qualify as one of the shortest reigns in the history of the belt.

5 Mayor Glenn Jacobs (Kane), >1 Day

WWE superstar Kane is nowadays known outside of the ring for his political career, as he is currently operating as the Mayor of Knoxville County. When WWE Raw broadcasted from Knoxville on September 16th, 2019, they showed a recording of a situation where Kane, acting as Mayor, managed to pin the 24/7 champion R-Truth with a referee disguised as a police officer.

His reign, like so many others and like his WWE championship run in the Attitude Era, didn't make it longer than a day, as R-Truth would pursue and retain his belt by pinning the mayor in the stadium parking lot.

4 Mojo Rawley, >1 Day

Mojo Rawley actually managed to capture the 24/7 title outside of WWE programming, as he did so on the Fox New Year's Eve Special with Steve Harvey. The event broadcast live from Times Square, and Mojo likely felt as if it was the sign of a long reign and good things to come in 2020.

However, the ever-resilient R-Truth managed to scupper those dreams as he pinned Mojo with assistance from special referee Maria Menounos disappearing into the night and no doubt celebrating the New Year in style.

3 Samir and Sunil Singh, >1 Day

Samir and Sunil Singh have in fact traded the 24/7 title on numerous occasions. This is because, in December 2019, they participated at several WWE House Show events in handicap matches against the 24/7 champion R-Truth.

In each of these matches, both brothers were successful in capturing the belt, but every time R-Truth managed to get his championship back before the night was over, meaning they have several of the shortest 24/7 reigns in the history of the title.

2 Marshmello, >1 Day

On Smackdown's 20th Anniversary episode on October 4th, 2019, Carmella went into the momentous event as the WWE 24/7 champion. In a thorough miscommunication, special guest Marshmello accidentally fell on top of Carmella backstage, resulting in a referee counting three and proclaiming him the new 24/7 champion.

The DJ did however show good sportsmanship and rescinded the decision later in the evening, returning the belt to Carmella in the parking lot before the day was over. Marshmello is one of the many stranger title holders alongside sports commentator Rob Stone, Santa Claus, and The Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase.

1 R-Truth, >1 Day

R-Truth

If you've made it through the other entrants on this list, it should come as no surprise that R-Truth holds some of the shortest (and most hilarious) 24/7 title reigns in the history of the belt. In fact, 14 of R-Truth's 24/7 championship reigns have ended in one day or less, with many of his longer reigns lasting little longer than a week.

R-Truth has become synonymous with the belt, and these past reigns likely won't have been the last times we see the green and gold belt around his waist. He runs a marathon flanked by a swarm of other WWE superstars.
