TLC is on the horizon, and as always, there are plenty of rumors about what could come to fruition at the pay-per-view this Sunday night. The show will emanate from Minneapolis, Minnesota and for the most part, WWE's build to the event has centered on one thing—the reformation of The Shield. Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, and Dean Ambrose getting back together has led to business picking up during a time of year that WWE normally sees a lull. SummerSlam is over, and WrestleMania is still six months away, so they needed something and they have it. Well, they did have it. Just two days before the event Reigns was removed due to illness and replaced with Kurt Angle arguably making the match even bigger. That much is for sure, but what else is rumored to happen at TLC and beyond?
With the current situation, the cruiserweight division is in with Neville's departure, rumor really is all we have to go on when it comes to the future of its championship. The plan was apparently to have Neville attempt to win back his crown before Enzo Amore would eventually lose it to Kalisto at TLC. Well, obviously that hasn't happened as Amore has already lost his gold. Now, the rumor is that Smacktalker Skywalker will instead win the Cruiserweight Championship back in Minneapolis this Sunday. If he does, it will likely be done with the use of underhanded tactics as per usual. On Raw this past week, four cruiserweights chose to align themselves with Amore and take out the champ and Mustafa Ali. Keep an eye out for that foursome this weekend.
Finn Balor may have been thrown through the loop with a change to his opponent very late in the day, but that won't stop the Irishman from becoming The Demon at TLC and taking the fight to his new opponent, AJ Styles. Balor is being tipped to be the next man to take on Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship and rightly so. Balor has been back from injury for six months now and is still waiting for that title rematch that he is owed. If Balor is going to be a credible threat to The Beast Incarnate then he's going to have to put on dominant performances from here on in, and that will inevitably start with Styles on Sunday.
This rumor is a pretty worrying one. WWE has a habit of ruining former NXT Superstars that appeared to be destined for nothing but the very top of the business. Bayley is a terrific example, and even Shinsuke Nakamura is floundering on SmackDown Live. If the rumors of what they're going to do with Asuka at TLC this weekend are true, then they risk doing that with her also. The powers that be at NXT have meticulously sculpted Asuka so that she can be an unprecedented megastar on Raw. Asuka has been unbeaten for two years, and was NXT Women's Champion for over 500 days—she's untouchable. That is until WWE has Emma beat her on Sunday. It would be a disaster if this happens so let's hope it's nothing more than a rumor.

A meningitis virus making its way through the Raw locker room has caused absolute chaos as it is when it comes to TLC this Sunday. With Bray Wyatt out of action, AJ Styles will be wrestling Finn Balor, and Kurt Angle will be making his in-ring return to replace Roman Reigns. Well, rumor has it that the last minute changes may not be over and done with quite yet. Originally, it appeared that Wyatt and Bo Dallas were the only ones struck down with meningitis whereas all of a sudden, it seems to be an epidemic. WWE managed to paper over the cracks with the inclusion of Angle and Styles, but be prepared for more changes right up until show time.
The return of Kane on Raw this past Monday seems like a bit of a strange move on the surface. When you think about it, delve deeper, and hear the rumors that have emerged on the back of his return, Kane's insertion into The Shield's business makes a lot more sense. At this point, it seems pretty clear that The Big Red Machine has returned to avenge his brother, The Undertaker. Well, apparently that is not all. The freshest rumor from the mill is that Kane battling The Shield at TLC will merely be the beginning of this angle and it will actually lead to the return of The Undertaker. Apparently, The Deadman will reappear at Survivor Series next month, but instead of thanking his brother Kane he will align himself with The Shield and go against him.
