In one of his first interviews after falling ill, "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair gave fans an update on his condition and revealed he slept with 10,000 women, a number many don't believe to be real. In that interview he discussed some of the vices he believed might have partially led to his downfall and swore that he would be turning over a new leaf and working hard to be healthier and more conscious of his decisions — something Flair hasn't always been known for.

Beyond the drinking and partying, one of the revelations he laid on everyone was that he'd slept with more than 10,000 women! Even for Ric Flair, that's a lot of women. In fact, so much so, it sounds hard to wrap one's head around.

Shocked and, somewhat secretly impressed, we wondered how that was even possible. We discovered, it probably isn't. Here are five reasons we don't think Flair slept with quite as many women as he claims to have.

5. Let's Do The Math

via cagesideseats.com

Ric Flair is 68 years old. For him to have slept with 10,000 women, it means he would have slept with 147 women per year since the age of, well, birth. Let's just say Flair was not hooking up with his ladies before the age of 10 (yes, we realize that's still very generous for a starting age of sexual activity). That's 172 women per year or almost one every other night.

It's possible for a celeb to sleep with that many women, but that's an incredible pace that we don't believe Flair could have kept up for 58 years!

4. His Marriages

via nypost.com

We know Flair wasn't faithful while married. But, we also know that even the worst of cheaters probably pretend for a while that they're going to be faithful. In Flair's case, if he's been married four times, we have to at least assume there were a few years in there, (let's say five) that he didn't run around with women like a single guy would. We can also assume that in his later marriages, especially his current relationship, he probably learned valuable lessons and slowed down the cheating.

The fact that Flair has been married so many times means he was at least trying to be a decent guy for many of those years.

3. Porn Stars Dispute His Claim

via inquisitr.com

If you've ever heard of Ron Jeremy, you know he's a huge star in the adult film industry. He was also one of the first people to come out after Flair made his claim and call foul. Why would Jeremy care? He probably wouldn't, but a guy like him, who has slept with more women than any of us combined would probably know just how hard it is to get with that many females in a lifetime of sleeping with people.

If it comes to taking Jeremy's word for it or Flair's, we feel like we should go with the guy who's not bragging about his conquests.

2. The WWE and Wrestler's Schedule

Via: www.wwe.com

When you're a full-time wrestler, you lead a pretty hectic schedule. When you're the champion, it's even worse with appearances and promotional responsibilities. There's time to fool around and hook up with female fans but that's not an easy schedule to keep and you'd have to think it might interfere with Flair's ability to score with the ladies (at least a little).

So too, for a long time, he was part of a group called the Four Horsemen and one might think Flair couldn't and didn't take all the ladies for himself. Being a busy and celebrated champ likely got him attention, but it would have been a lot harder to keep work commitments and no all the extra-curricular activities.

1. It's Ric Flair

amazonaws.com

The one thing we know about Ric Flair is that he has a tendency to exaggerate. He was wild and crazy in his heyday, but everyone knows that when Flair tells a story, there's a good chance  "the stylin', profilin', limousine riding, jet flying, kiss-stealing, wheelin' n' dealin' son of a gun!" was probably also full of himself and his numbers are out there compared to the truth.

Flair even went on a recent radio interview admitting that what he meant by "10,000" was that it was a lot. He said, maybe it was 5,000 or a few more, but the point was, it was more than he should have and he wasn't proud of it. He said he started in grade seven, but we're pretty sure his craziest years were probably between the ages of 20 and 40. A two-decade span is not enough time to hit that kind of crazy number. That's about one every day. We mean, it's not like Flair was Wilt Chamberlain.
