8 Female Wrestlers Who Used Their Real Names And 7 Who Didn’t

In the world of a professional wrestling, the line between fiction and reality is often blurred. At times it can difficult to determine what is real, as opposed to what is part of the show. This is especially true when it comes to the names wrestlers use in the ring.

A wrestler's name is an important part of their persona and the character in which they are portraying. In some cases, wrestlers use their real names when competing in the squared circle. However, in other instances, a competitor might decide to go with (or be given) a flashier stage name.

At times it can be fairly obvious when a wrestler is using a stage name. For example, we can reasonably assume that in 1965, a Mr. and Mrs. Calaway in Texas didn't name their baby boy Undertaker, but rather Mark. Moreover, it's probably a pretty safe bet that Terry Bollea's given name isn't Hulk – it's just plain old Terry.

That being said, there are times when it can be harder to tell. Shawn Michaels doesn't sound like a fictitious name, but his real name is actually Michael Shawn Hickenbottom.

One might think female wrestlers would be inclined to use stage names more frequently in order to ward off unwanted admirers. However, you might be surprised to find out that many of wrestling's finest females decided to use the names they were born with, or called in real life.

With that in mind, let's take a look at 8 female wrestlers who used their real names and 7 who didn't.
