Either The Elite is coming back to AEW or they're gone for good based on the promo that aired on Wednesday during the most recent episode of Dynamite. Social media is reacting to what they witnessed and opinions fall on either side of that spectrum, some arguing this is a sign the group is returning and some saying this is AEW erasing them from the promotion's existence.

A series of clips of the Elite -- Kenny Omega, Matt Jackson, and Nick Jackson -- aired during the show, and while the group was narrating, every clip of the three of them in AEW disintegrated like something out of an Avengers movie where the heroes blipped and were erased from existence. Omega started by saying, "Myself Nick, and Matt, we set out a path to change to world..." It continued with other audio clips of the members of the group telling their stories, but each time, the audio cut out as their images were erased. At the end of the video, the AEW logo disappeared and that has a lot of fans questioning what all of this means.

The reactions to the video and the post on social media are varied. Some are saying they are glad that the group might be leaving AEW. Others are excited that the group is coming back. Reports this week were that their returns are imminent and this is most likely a teaser video to their return and a setup for some sort of angle, likely with them being bitter about how they were ostracized from the company and suspended after CM Punk went off during a media scrum and then was involved in a backstage altercation.

AEW Isn't Giving Any Details

On the Twitter post related to the video, the company simply added eyeball emojis and question marks as if to suggest they have no idea what they witnessed either. The idea must be to build intrigue and their returns set as something fans should be curious about. Will they be heels? Will they be babyfaces? Time will tell.
