The life of a WWE Superstar is hard. You are constantly on the road performing for WWE audiences, whether it is in North America or on an overseas tour. That doesn’t include the countless hours spent on planes or busses and in the gym working out to remain in peak shape. Somewhere in all this, they would probably like to spend time with their loved ones, which includes finding that special someone.

For some, this is easy because they get married to other wrestlers. Everyone knows how John Cena and Nikki Bella are engaged, Daniel Bryan married Brie Bella, and Triple H and Stephanie McMahon. Most people are probably well aware that Matt Hardy is married to Reby Sky who, although she is not a wrestler, has been involved in the wrestling world. While all of these relationships are high-profile and sometimes referred to on TV, this is not the case for everyone.

As hard as it may be nowadays, some WWE stars try to have a low profile personal life. Even though we think we know a lot about them by watching them on WWE programming, we may be surprised to find out that we don’t. Many wrestlers may actually be in relationships that most fans were not even aware of because they keep their private life, well, private. We will be looking at eight WWE superstars who you might not have known were in relationships, as well as seven WWE stars who are single and available!

15 15. TAKEN: BAYLEY

Bayley is one of the more popular WWE superstars who has long had a passion for wrestling. Unlike many of the other female wrestlers, she does things a little bit differently. She has never been seen on Total Divas and does her best to keep her personal life away from the TV cameras. She has social media but posts of her and her personal life are few and far between.

With all that in mind, it may come as a surprise to some that Bayley is actually engaged to another professional wrestler, Aaron Solow. He is currently wrestling on the indie scenes, but he has obviously succeeded in capturing The Hugger’s heart. They had met back in 2010 and have been together ever since, though no wedding date has been mentioned.

14 14. AVAILABLE: PAIGE

In case you weren’t aware, Paige was in a relationship with Alberto Del Rio. The two of them actually became engaged in October 2016 and have frequently found themselves in headlines. Perhaps most notable was the airport domestic violence incident involving Del Rio and Paige over the summer of 2017, which resulted in police involvement. Rather quietly, Paige revealed that she was once again single on social media in early November. While nobody has really heard too much about the reason for calling off the engagement and breaking up, the tumultuous relationship probably meant it was best for them to head their separate ways.

For right now, Paige is single and available though we shouldn’t expect that to last for very long. Though Paige has only recently made her return to WWE television on Raw, she hasn’t been shy about entering into relationships in the past. Let’s just hope her next relationship isn’t as volatile and affect her standing with WWE.

13 13. TAKEN: Finn Balor

 

The 36-year-old Finn Balor is incredibly over with the WWE Universe, even though not everyone backstage seems to see it **cough** Vince McMahon. However, even though Balor's work life might not be what he wants it to be, at least he can take solace in the fact that Balor seems to have found a lovely girlfriend from it. It's been rumored since the summer that Balor has been dating announcer Cathy Kelley and more pictures of them together have popped up. There was even a recent photo of them together at a basketball game. The two have not outright posed for any pictures together, perhaps wanting to keep things as private as possible for now. Either way, at least Balor has something to be happy about.

12 12. AVAILABLE: Carmella

For the last few years, Carmella was known to be in a relationship with Big Cass. The two met down in NXT and were dating throughout Enzo & Cass's run as a team in NXT and through Big Cass's knee injury suffered in the summer of 2017. Their relationship was featured on Total Divas and the two had even bought a house together. However recently, it was discovered that both Carmella and Big Cass have removed pictures of the couple together on Instagram and they have stopped following each other on Twitter. That's definitely a huge red flag and makes it very likely the two had an abrupt breakup.

That would put the 30-year-old Carmella fresh on the market and you have to figure it won't be too long until she finds another special man in her life.

11 11. TAKEN: ALEXA BLISS

Alexa Bliss, currently the Raw Women’s Champion, is a popular heel wrestler on Raw. Before she reached the fame and success she experiences today as a top female wrestler, she was the valet for Blake and Murphy on NXT. Not many people knew that Buddy Murphy and Alexa Bliss were actually dating. In January 2017, they revealed that they got engaged two years ago in December 2015 (and still are engaged).

They haven’t gotten married yet because of their hectic schedules. Bliss got promoted to SmackDown Live not too long after their engagement, which made their lives a lot busier. Fortunately, they still make time for each other even though Buddy Murphy is still on NXT.

10 10. AVAILABLE: CHARLOTTE

While it is certainly surprising that Charlotte is single, a little bit of context is in order here. Charlotte has already been married, and divorced twice, despite only being 31 years old. She was married to the unknown Riki Johnson for only a year, between 2010 and 2011. In 2013, Charlotte married fellow wrestler Bram, before getting divorced in 2015. Charlotte was also believed to have had a fling with Alberto Del Rio, before he quickly moved into a relationship with Paige.

Based on her dating history to this point, it seems she is following in the footsteps of Ric Flair. While she is believed to be single at the moment, she almost certainly will find herself in a relationship before long. That is, of course, when she isn’t making history in the WWE Women’s division and hopefully wrestling Ronda Rousey one way or another.

9 9. TAKEN: SETH ROLLINS

A few years ago, Seth Rollins’ love life caused quite the controversy for him. He was engaged to Leighla Schultz but was caught cheating on her with Zahra Schreiber, who was an NXT wrestler at the time. This led to his fiancé posting nude photos of them both on social media from Rollins’ account. Long story short, Rollins was no longer engaged and he broke up with Schreiber after the whole incident. He was a single man.

After letting all that die down, Rollins has very quietly started to enter the dating scene again. He is currently seeing Sarah Alessandrelli, who works at a high end Chicago night club. They have been seen posting photos together while on vacation, and seem to be quite happy together. Hopefully their relationship doesn’t turn out as ugly as Rollins’ previous ones have!

8 8. AVAILABLE: BRAUN STROWMAN

Braun Strowman has become a huge star in the WWE since receiving a massive push in 2017. He has gotten over organically with the WWE audience and it shows in the way they continue to react to him. Even though he has blossomed into a main eventer in the WWE, he has not had the same sort of luck in his romantic life.

Earlier in 2017, it was revealed that Strowman has a Tinder account after his page was leaked. Strowman seems to be friends with many of the female wrestlers backstage and comes across as being a generally funny guy, but has apparently been unsuccessful in finding a girlfriend. The popular WWE Superstar decided to try online dating in hopes of finding that special someone. It turns out the Monster Among Men is not that different from many of us!

7 7. TAKEN: BO DALLAS

Much has been made of Bray Wyatt’s divorce from his wife, and his new girlfriend, WWE ring announcer JoJo. Wyatt’s divorce and allegations of infidelity were embarrassingly publicized, even though he had previously kept his personal life under wraps. The same is true for Wyatt’s real-life younger brother, Bo Dallas.

Maybe it’s because he is a low card wrestler, but Bo Dallas has been able to keep his private life, well, private. BO-lieve it or not, Bo Dallas got married on June 26 2014 to Sarah Backman. Backman is actually a former wrestler in her own right, having wrestled with NXT between 2013 and 2014 under the name Shara before being granted her release. Backman is now a real estate agent.

6 6. AVAILABLE: SAMI ZAYN

Wrestling has been at the forefront of Sami Zayn’s life ever since he was 18 years old and debuted on International Wrestling Syndicate in 2002. Prior to joining WWE, he wrestled extensively on the independent circuit as El Generico. His career saw him reach great heights with Dragon Gate USA and Ring of Honor, before joining the world’s largest wrestling promotion.

Wrestling is clearly Zayn’s first love at the moment, as it seems he has not yet been connected to anyone romantically. Though he portrays a heel on TV now, Zayn comes across as a genuinely good guy in real life. This makes it somewhat surprising that Zayn hasn’t found that special someone yet, although we’re sure he eventually will.

5 5. TAKEN: ZACK RYDER

Zack Ryder was previously known for having been in a relationship with Emma. While the two of them went their separate ways last year, Zack Ryder didn’t stay single for very long. Social media posts revealed that The Long Island Iced Z had started dating Chelsea Green. Though she briefly appeared in WWE, Green is best known for being one of the top female heels in TNA.

Green and Ryder represent one of the very rare inter-promotional wrestling relationships. It would usually be hard for them to see much of each other since they wrestle for different companies with busy schedules. However, Ryder is sadly seldom used on TV so that might make things a little easier.

4 4. AVAILABLE: BIG E

That Big E is still single has to be considered one of the biggest surprises on this list. In and out of the ring, Big E always comes across as a nice guy. As a member of The New Day, WWE fans have gotten to witness Big E’s sense of humour, likability, and dance moves. One would think that those traits would make Big E an attractive date for someone, but apparently that hasn’t been the case so far.

Big E has become an ordained minister, so that will probably be the closest he will get to being in a wedding in the near future. A few years ago on Total Divas, Natalya set up her sister with Big E but apparently nothing ever came of that either! Maybe his New Day buddies, both of whom are married, can help Big E out!

3 3. TAKEN: KALISTO

Not a whole lot is known about Kalisto, mostly because of the mask he wears to protect his identity. We do know that Kalisto is happily married to Abigail, and has been for a few years now. She is often spotted at some of the bigger WWE events, such as WrestleMania to watch her husband perform. Abigail was also seen in attendance with Kalisto at recent WWE Hall of Fame ceremonies. You know it really is an indicator of true love when your wife also wears a Luchador mask to a WWE event to protect her identity. It also is extra special because, as seen in the photo shown above, it was all planned out because she got a mask to match her dress. Kalisto’s wife is not famous, but she clearly is a big supporter of Kalisto and what he does for a living.

2 2. AVAILABLE: Luke Gallows

This is one a bit more unknown than the others included on this list. Gallows was married to fellow wrestler Amber O’Neal in 2014, after having met during their time with NJPW. Gallows, and Anderson, departed and signed with WWE while O’Neal continued wrestling on the indies.

Gallows and Anderson were involved in a segment earlier in 2017 that involved Dana Brooke. O’Neal viciously attacked and insulted Dana Brooke for apparently getting too close to her man (she does know it was only a scripted segment, right?). It was believed that these ridiculous tweets caused a rift in their relationship. While nothing has been confirmed, it is telling that O’Neal changed her Twitter bio to say she is single.

1 1. TAKEN: AIDEN ENGLISH

Aiden English is by no means a star in WWE, but he is in a very under the radar relationship. English is actually now married into the legendary Guerrero wrestling family! WWE signed Shaul Guerrero, daughter of Eddie and Vickie Guerrero, in 2010 hoping she would become a star like both of her parents. After spending time in WWE developmental and on NXT, Shaul just did not have the talents to make it in the wrestling industry unfortunately.

On the positive side of things, Guerrero did start dating Aiden English during her time with the company. They got married in January 2016 in Florida, consequently making Aiden English the late-Eddie Guerrero’s son in law. After growing up in wrestling her whole life, you’d have to think Shaul will always be supportive of her husband’s career.
